This pot has a small circumference--it fits perfectly the small burner on my stove. It's deep enough to easily handle a good amount of food though. The lid is glass, and has a small hole near the top to allow steam to escape. I use it to cook vegetables and grains. The bottom is sturdy as well.

I really light this stainless steel pot, it works for cooking for cooking reasonably sized batches of Edamame and Mac & Cheese for my kids. I haven't found any issues with this product, no defects in the finish. I don't like how easily stainless steel picks up finger prints after washing it, BUT it beats having cancer causing Teflon pans, reactive aluminium, or cheaply made ceramics.

I love this sauce pan/pot! My 4 qt. pan got burned beyond cleaning, so I was shopping for a 4 qt. replacement pot. Accidentally found this one on Amazon so I decided to give it a try as the price is very reasonable. i am pleasantly surprised that this 3 qt. pan, though looks a little smaller, is just perfect: it fits 7 inch burner of my range top perfectly, its build quality is superb similar to my other calphalon pots/pans but weight less, has a glass top/lid with a tiny pressure/steam release hole, and it's very easy to clean with hand wash! Its heat conductivity is much better than my other pots, and I notice it heats up much quicker than my other pots. It's just the right size for me to cook soups, noodles, crab legs, and pretty much any dish for up to 3-4 people, but please keep in mind this is a 3 qt. size pot, may not be big enough to cook family meals. It's hard to believe its price is only half of similar quality calphalon or other branded nonstick pots/pans (those branded products are heavier than T-fal, but I don't know if it indicates better quality). I have no reservation to recommend this product, and I am looking to buy a few other size pans/pots in this line of product (T-fal)!

I recently purchased this pan because of the price point - plain and simple! I had a junky salvage store find that had worn out - peeling all over the place and decided it was time to throw out. I only used this older pan for making sticky cooked cereals and some sauces otherwise I'm an admitted pan snob and have stuck with my s/s All Clad, Viking, French cookware and for some tasks my Lodge pans. Oh, I've been down the road of teflon coated high end pans and they don't hold up. All Clad will replace, Calphalon will replace but at the higher price still none of them usually lasted more than a couple of years and then were shot. Was I amazed or what when this T-fal pan arrived? Yes, and yes again! This is a substantial pan, 3 qts is large enough for most tasks, well built handle and very nice glass lid with a small vent in the top with the ability to turn the lid to expose holes in the chrome edge for venting from the pour spouts on either side of the pan. I'm thrilled with this pan and time will tell how well it holds up but for the price, with care, a few years would make me happy - if longer then all the better!

This is the only pot I own because it’s the only pot I need. I especially love the strainer feature in the lid (with two draining level options) because it eliminates the need for me to use a separate strainer. I recommend this if you cook mostly noodles. Pasta, ramen, ravioli, etc.

Oh my goodness, I love this thing. I've had it for about three months now, and it has been wonderful. I go out of my way to treat it properly -- I always hand wash it and only use bamboo/silicone/plastic utensils, so the interior is pretty much the same as when it was delivered. I really haven't had any issue with turning the burner up to high (electric range with old-school spiral raised metal elements) to boil water quickly, but maybe that reduces overall lifespan, so I kind of feel guilty about it. On the other hand, my kids are hungry... This pan has the slickest teflon-type surface I've ever used, comparable to the ceramic-coated nonstick frying pans I got at Target nine months ago. Week-old dried, cooked-on food of any kind slides right off with a little soapy water and a plastic scraper or Dobie sponge (Scotch-Brite Cleaning Pads Dobie (6-Pack)), with almost no effort at all -- it's absolutely amazing. I learned to cook using my mom's old aluminum pans, and cleaning them afterwards was a nightmare, especially if anything had burned. Later I got into cast iron, but it requires seasoning and very special care, especially cleaning. I still love my cast iron Dutch oven for making pot roast, but the thing practically weighs as much as I do, and isn't terribly convenient for making a quick round of mac and cheese on a busy weeknight. I've used (usually cheap) teflon pots and pans for years, from a number of manufacturers, but they generally weren't terribly "non-sticky" to begin with, invariably got scratched, and eventually lost their non-stick utility completely. This pan is different. Pre-lubrication just isn't necessary, unless you want it for taste or whatever. I've actually made fried eggs in it (it is a bit deep for flipping) with no butter at all, and simply cleaned up with a few swipes from a paper towel. Cleanup after making (real) gravy takes a minute, tops. Dried on rice pilaf comes right off. Definitely worth it! Aside from the possibility of reduced fat cooking and super-easy cleanup, food actually cooks evenly and well. The bottom and sides are much thicker than I expected and it has a surprisingly solid heft, giving stability on a tilted burner but not weighing so much that a 10 year old junior cook can't safely carry a full pan of cooked pasta from stove to sink. Heat transfers very evenly, as you can see when boiling water -- the bubbles just before a full boil are formed evenly across the bottom from edge to center, not just in a narrow ring or in certain spots. The water also seems to boil pretty quickly. There is one minor flaw -- the handle on the lid. The metal part below the knob is hollow, so if you look up through the bottom of the lid you can see a little enclosed space. While I don't wash the pan itself in the dishwasher because of the harsh detergent, I do sometimes wash the lid in there, and every time it fills up with water so I have to loosen the attaching screw to empty and dry it out. It would be much better if this metal piece was more slender and solid, eliminating this otherwise useless void. Overall, this pan is a solid, well-made, even-heating, super non-stick wonder that cleans very easily and is my go-to workhorse when cooking.

I just had to get a new pot with lid to replace a very old slightly smaller pan and decided on this T-fal sauce pan. It's very deep....a huge bonus for me since I usually like cooking soups and things like that with a deep pan. It heats up fast, nice non-stick interior, very sturdy & well-built, comes with a vented glass lid with knob on it and cool touch handle. This is a decent-sized sauce pan and really does a fantastic job. 5 stars for such a good pan.

This has become my most frequently used pot. It is the perfect size for all sorts of jobs. The plastic handle stays cool but holds up well. The strainer built into the lid is convient for cooking pasta or steaming vegetables. The heavy bottom seems to distribute heat well. I use it far more often than much more expensive pots.

I love this pot for cooking pasta. It heats up really fast and not having to use a strainer is great. The lid has small holes on one side and large on the other, which is great for the different sizes of pasta. Great purchase! And the price is very reasonable!

I bought this for use in a dorm environment with a central kitchen, for which it would be a solitary cooking vessel. It performed admirably: It is durable and heats evenly. In addition to its typical uses as a saucepan, it was used for cooking eggs and sauteeing vegetables and worked nicely.
