Soft and great quality

So far, we have washed this once when we received it and put it on our baby's crib. It is soft and has a nice comfortable feel to it. It washed up well and fit the crib mattress perfectly. It has helped to diminish the sound the crib mattress made when he moved around in his sleep - so for that, we are thankful! It seems to make it warmer and more comfy for him and he has been sleeping great on it!

The Perfect Cover

I went through many covers and this hands down has been the best. The top is very thick and soft, yet safe for baby. Once it is covered with a clean sheet, my son sleeps solid through the night. It has a clean and smooth fit. The barrier between his body and the mattress helps him stay comfortable as it is breathable and soft. It is completely waterproof and your mattress stays clean and dry. It has stood up to many, many washes and still like new almost a year later. I bought two to make sure I could always switch them out when soiled.

Protects the mattress without causing my son to sweat

We now have two of these for my son's crib so we always have one clean - they are excellent for protecting the mattress. My son tends warm, and with other cheaper protectors he would be soaked with sweat after even a short nap. With these protectors there is no problem with him overheating, and they clean very nicely. Very soft, breathable, and most importantly still very waterproof. Excellent product.

Excellent product! We actually use two at time

Excellent product! We actually use two at time, and they both fit the mattress perfectly (my layering: mattress-->protector-->sheet-->protector-->sheet). I layer the sheets and protectors so I can whip off the soiled layers quickly and get the baby back to bed without having to remake the bedding. We've "tested" these protectors on many occasions, and I can confirm that they work as advertised and are very easy to wash and dry. They are much easier to launder than the protector on our adult bed. I wish they came in queen-size!

I bought this mattress pad and the Waterproof Crib Mattress Pad (Fitted) - Very Soft, Quilted, NO VINYL, Fits All Standard Size Baby Mattresses, No Risk 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Crib Mattress Protector at the same time to put on my brand new crib mattress (you should always use a cover/pad!). I chose these because they are both budget-friendly and highly rated on Amazon. I wanted to compare the two and, if they were close to equal, keep them both so I'd always have a clean one on hand for unexpected middle-of-the-night bedding changes. I ultimately chose to return the Happy Little Mill (HLM) cover and will be buying another of one from Margaux & May (M&M). Had I only bought the HLM cover, I would have been happy enough and kept it. The M&M one was just a step above. The primary reason why I prefer the M&M is the sound factor. I had just purchased a memory foam mattress in part to get away from the plastic sounds of his older spring mattress. I didn't want the mattress cover to bring back the noise I had just eliminated. M&M is almost completely silent when you move around on it. HLM was noticeably louder though not terribly so. I also loved how soft the terry-cloth top of the M&M was. It gave it an extra little feeling of cush. The HLM has a plain fabric that is soft to the touch as well, but lacks that plush feeling of M&M. Lastly, neither had much of a smell and I could notice no plastic or chemical smell in the M&M after I washed it (I washed it before use). I didn't try putting the HLM on the mattress (I had already concluded it was going back) so I can't compare the two there -- but I can say that I was please with the snug fit of the M&M on my 5" deep foam crib mattress. I've washed it twice and used it for 6 weeks so far and I'm pleased with how it washes and how flat it lays on the bed. It's totally unnoticeable through the sheet, as it should be. There have been no issues with my son waking up sweaty or overheated as can sometimes happen when sleeping on a waterproof mattress cover. I have not yet had an occasion to observe it's waterproof claims but will certainly update this review if it fails to meet my expectations in that arena. Update: 4 months after my review and I still love this protector. Still no issues (but also still no incident to test leak-proof factor). Was this review helpful for you? A must have!

This is my third purchase of this product. I love the waterproof layer and that it doesn't feel like crinkly plastic. I am purchasing another one because I had my dryer on too high and I melted a section of the waterproof layer. I have to say I have been using this item for 18 months and this is the first disagreement with the dryer being too hot. I like to double layer my crib with this waterproof pad then a crib sheet then another waterproof pad then a crib sheet. So when accidents happen in the middle of the night you just strip off the top two layers and then are already set with a back up beneath allowing you to put the baby back to sleep quickly. I highly recommend this product because it is so soft and does a good job protecting the mattress from diaper leaks.

Cuddly Soft and perfect!!!!

I hoped I would like this Mattress Protector. Chain store protectors are well.......... I LOVE THIS MATTRESS PROTECTOR!!! I was concerned when I took it out of package as it felt thin. I wanted a quilted softness for baby. This protector beats anything I could have imagined. I am so incredibly impressed with this mattress protector. First, it wraps well around the mattress. Pockets are deep enough to cover bottom binding of mattress and plenty of fabric between the binding and the elastic of the cover. Soft, wish there were a word of larger magnitude to describe this protector. It has held up beautifully to several washes now with no issues at all. 5 stars X 10

These things are amazing!

I have been using these mattress protectors for almost two years with my twins and they are wonderful! I love that they are organic so I didn't have to worry about any off-gassing concerns, and they are SUPER ABSORBENT! My little guy will sometimes wake up very very wet (even though we use overnight diapers). His pajamas will be soaked, the sheet will be soaked, the mattress pad will be soaked, but the mattress has always remained COMPLETELY DRY. These pads soak up every drop and keep the mattress in pristine condition. They are easy to throw in the washer and dryer and put right back on the crib. Of all the many purchases we have made for our twins, this is one of the things I would most recommend.

Soft, Cozy, Waterproof, Safe

These are great mattress covers! They're totally waterproof on the underside (we've had many an overnight leak recently), but soft and cozy on the side the baby sleeps on. With a fitted sheet over it and a firm mattress under it, the sleeping surface for the baby is still completely firm and safe, but not as hard as it would be without this cover. A friend gave me two she didn't need and I've purchased two additional ones to have as backup in case I can't get to the laundry right away. I've washed them each a few times on cold and dried on medium, and they're holding up well so far.
