Good stand, very portable. Folds down fairly easily back into carry case. Will hold sheet music and small/thin books well; not so sure about bigger books. Used it now for a month without problems or failure. It is possible to screw out the adjustment screws, but they can easily reinsert provided you don't loose the nut on the back.

+1 - Item arrived on time, and not damaged +1 - Item is as described +3 - Item works as intended, is sturdy, and portable Thoughts: This is a travel stand, as such, prepare for it to be not as sturdy as a non-travel stand. That being said, it is still very sturdy and does its job well. It appears to be very well made and we've had no issues with the screws or telescoping function. It also holds the music very well, just like an ordinary stand.

I came home the other day and my husband, who plays several instruments, had this set up. It is really good looking, especially as inexpensive as it is. I told him I needed to use it, and when I told him what for, he laughed and told me to buy my own. Crazy as it sounds, I'm going to use MINE to place my tablet on so I can watch my shows when I'm on the treadmill. It's a perfect height and it's better than the stack of books I have my tablet set on now. I'm SO happy with my new purchase!

This is not a sturdy stand. This is probably not suitable for a school band room. It is a lightweight, foldable and easily stashed stand that barely holds a three ring binder with 50 pages of fake tab. But it does manage to do this. That's all I wanted. I can keep it folded up and out of the way next to the couch and take it out when I need it. Hands down beats the previous music stand I was using: the floor.

I bought this for the price. Realizing that I wasn’t expecting much and didn’t even expect it to last for a week to be honest. Yes, it is made with very cheap materials, but it has been surprisingly durable! I often leave a heavy three ring binder on it with music in clear sleeves in the binder It holds up very well. At most I have to shift my binder side to side to balance it over the center (I did say it was a heavy, very full binder), but once I balance it it works great. I was originally going to give it 4 stars because of the cheap material and then realized it deserves 5 because of how well designed, inexpensive and rugged it is despite the cheap materials.

Lightweight, easy to use. Will last if not abused. Black color is nice. I had stronger more likely to last ones (which I have thrown away years ago when I did not need them anymore). Can't beat the price I paid. I think it is so low cost as a way of including a catalog of the small company. New to music (or child), unsure how much to invest in stuff, then this is the thing to get. Holds Mel Bay and Hal Leonard guitar instructions books fine. For me, I set it up in a room and leave it there with the book and page I am using all ready to go. I would not disconnect the part that goes to the very top piece apart once together (music stand insert part). Once the top and the next part are together (which holds it to stand and tilts the top part, I feel it will last longer if not taken apart. this also will prevent the smallest parts from getting lost.

This is a great portable Stand for both books and sheet music. I have a small group of beginning string players and I have a couple of these as not everyone had a stand. I have encouraged my string parents to purchase this one. Not only do they hold up well to the constant travel of weekly in and out of the car, but they don't take up a lot of room on the floor when sitting next to another musician. The springs for holding music down are perfect, they have just the right amount of tension and can be easily moved out of the way so as not to interfere with lesson books as well. I also liked the little detail at the top. I most likely will purchase more of these as I feel they are a good value.

Aloha! I just started learning to play the ukulele. I play indoors and I desperately needed a way to hold my chord charts in front of my face as I strum. Until now, I was forced to tape my song sheets on the wall and just sit in a chair 10 inches away. It was pathetic. Thankfully, now I can play with a little more dignity. This music stand is light, easy to adjust and highly portable. I wish I would fit in the pocket of my ukulele gig bag, but it does fit inside of my JanSport backpack. If I do not abuse it, I fully expect this to last me a few years. Even if it gives me only two years of service, it only cost me $12.89. I am not going to find a better deal in the entire city of Honolulu. Now I see that Amazon has dropped the price down to $9.00. Whether or not you are a proud cheapskate like me, this is a great value.

The best price I could find and perfect for what we use it for. My daughter needed this for an out of town concert and I loved the fact it was compact, had its own carrying bag and could be easily reassembled. Very lightweight too. One thing I did notice is that you really need to tighten the screw quite a bit to keep it from lowering when you put your music book on it, but once my daughter figured that out we were good to go. I would recommend this to parents of any young band members who need to travel for concerts!

ok let's bear in mind this is a $25 music stand. It's not the greatest, but it's definitely worth $25. I like how the top attaches to the pole. It's simple yet strong. There is a slidey part that goes in a bracket, and if it gets bent you can just bend it back. The tilt adjustment has a little play, but it also seems strong enough. I wouldn't put extremely heavy weights on this. It's not made for a music director to put a whole score on it, or a huge book of 400 big band charts. Keep it under 5 pounds of music and you'll be ok. This is about twice or three times as strong as one of those little wire portable stands, but about 5 times less strong than a full-size Manhassett stand, which is really not portable at all. This is a nice balance between portable and durable. And it doesn't really cost any more than one of those flimsy wire stands. This is "good enough" and it's light enough to carry in my equipment bag comfortably. The little spider leg metal things that keep the sheet music from blowing away in the wind are a nice design feature. It's a little short. I'm pretty tall, and usually like my stands to go a little taller, but then on the other hand in nightclubs I don't want the stand blocking peoples' view of me, so it's really tall enough for my purposes. The rivets & the tensioning hardware are good enough. I'm sure if you put heavier equipment like drum hardware, lighting stands or speaker stands, or Bogen camera tripods on top of this, you can bend it up. It's kind of lightweight metal. But as long as you keep it on top of the heavier equipment it should be durable enough. If I had wanted a really heavy piece of equipment I would have bought a Manhassett, which would have been twice the cost and not so portable. I just wanted something easy & simple, and this fits the bill. It's what I expected it to be, and that's good enough, especially at this price.
