Amazing - photo attached
I needed to protect my new convertible top, research showed me that this was the stuff, did it work? Check out this picture a couple days after application. I'd say the water DID bead up.

Works great!
We bought a used popup camper (15 years old) that the prior owners had kept clean, but apparently had never resealed the tenting portion. We spent a couple of hours one day giving the tenting a first spray (covering up vinyl portions, as directed), then tested it the next day. Followed up with touch ups of any areas where it needed more waterproofing. Works great! We live in Florida, and we get very heavy downpours. No leaks with this! If any areas looked like they needed a little touch up, we just sprayed those sections, and we were good to go.

Excellent product
I believe this is what the sunbrella folks recommend. Ihave used it once a year for the last 2 years with outdoor furniture and it really is amazing to see nothing but beaded up water drops on the cushions even after torrential rain. I plan to use every year from now on. Also makes dirt easier to clean off. This is a really good product.

Gross dogs - clean couch
I was skeptical for many weeks after buying this product. The price to volume seemed off as I was barely able to treat a five foot sofa and cushions with the bottle purchased; however, I now believe that the product is worth the money. I have two Australian shepherds and one very drooling American bulldog. Only two of my dogs like to lay on the sofa, unfortunately for us it is the notoriously dirty aussie and the very drooly bulldog. My husband let the pups in after a rainy evening. The next morning, to my horror, my sofa was covered in muddy dog prints and the usual enormous quantity of drool. Once the shock and gloom passed I decided to attempt to clean the sofa. It literally only took a damp cloth to remove all of the filth. The fabric guard did exactly what it was supposed to do and kept the nastiness from absorbing. I would recommend this product to anyone.

The only fabric guard I know that's recommended by Sunbrella
The only fabric guard I know that's recommended by Sunbrella. If you're going to apply large quantities, use a good sprayer. I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BX4VXI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Keep it pumped up under good pressure and you'll get nice even coverage. Do it outdoors, in the sun, on a non-windy day to reduce overspray and facilitate quick drying. After 8 hours, the fabric regained the water repelling quality as tested using the same spray bottle above but with water. I'll test again in a few months and update this review if there's any issues.

Easy to use and the protection lasts years
I've used 303's Fabric Guard for over 10 years with great success. I found it to be effective on automotive carpets and cloth seats. Water really beads up, and even over time the treatment still stands strong. Just be careful applying it. The spray is a very fine oily mist that flows everywhere in the air, so make sure there is adequate ventilation. Be sure to wipe off any excess that sprays onto non-cloth surfaces. Overall: 5/5 stars

The absolute best waterproofing treatment for Sunbrella fabric
We bought this specifically to renew the waterproofing on our Sunbrella boat cockpit cover ("bimini"). It's 15 years old, and previously, in a rain, leaked literally everywhere. The fabric is so worn that water would penetrate it readily. Following instructions, we removed the fabric (about 12x15 feet), laid it on a scrubbed (clean) driveway, and gently washed both sides. Liberal rinsing of both sides and the concrete drive had it clean. Allowing it to dry in the sun had it ready for application. You put this on one side only, so of course the side to apply to was the top. Using the 32oz spray bottle we also had of this marvelous liquid, and refilling as I exhausted it (it's a LARGE surface!), and using the technique that a paint sprayer would (nozzle the same distance from the fabric as I swept my arm left and right) I carefully sprayed every inch of our bimini, and allowed it to dry. Once dry (which didn't take long on the sunny and breezy day), I did it again, this time altering my spray pattern by 90°. And when that was dry, again, but on diagonals rather than in line with the sides. In this fashion I was reasonably sure that I had thoroughly covered the entirety. That was 2 years ago. The bimini has not leaked a drop in that time. Eventually, we'll have to do it again. Which, since we are international cruisers (we live on a sailboat), means that we might not be able to get it again readily. So, this purchase was really just for "ship's stores" - a backup to what we had left from our prior gallon. But we would not use anything else. It absolutely does the job, fully waterproofing even aging fabric.

Excellent product. However
Would not use any other product to clean and protect my wife's Beetle. Excellent product. However, I can confirm that applying the product with a roller vs. spray on is ideal. Also, the 16oz bottle BARELY was enough for one application to the canvas top. I have since purchased the 32oz bottle of fabric guard and will be applying a 2nd coat when it arrives. One other note that I have learned from reading many posts is the confusion by many, including myself, from 303 products changing the label. After contacting 303 and other "experts" the two products (Fabric Guard and High Tech Fabric Guard with water repellent) are the same formula. The one labeled just Fabric Guard is the newer of the two. Hope this helps!

Great for UGGS!! No kidding! All colors!!I I five stars without hesitation!
OK I was hesitant! I bought a beautiful new pair of tall three button Bailey UGGs in a beautiful new color called "dry leaf" it's a cross between dark brown and Chestnut A beautiful warm medium brown. I bought a can of Scotchgard suede protector along with the 32 ounce 303 fabric guard. I was a little leery about using the 303 fabric guard so I tried One tiny spot with the Scotchgard first since it specifically indicated it was for suede shoes and boots including and they specified "UGG boots". I was shocked! And so glad I tried it in a inconspicuous place! It immediately darkend the suede and I panicked and I waited until it dried it did not lighten up! Now I will repeat myself this was that with the 303 it was with the Scotchgard suede protector! Had I done the whole blue with the Scotchgard suede protector my boots would have ended up a dark brown color which I did not want I already have dark brown ! So I proceeded to try another inconspicuous spot with the 303. Within minutes it dried to the beautiful medium brown color that I had purchased in the UGG!! gorgeous! I proceeded to spray the entire bowl which was extremely easy with this 32 ounce spray bottle and proceeded to spray the entire other boot. I put them to dry approximately 36 inches away from where my forced hot air heat comes out so as not to be too close to the heat. Within about a half an hour my boots dried to the beautiful original color that they were when I purchased them. I could not have been more happy! So I proceeded to give them after 24 hours another light coat again easily spraying with this 32 ounce 303 and again letting it dry for another 24 hours and they are beautiful! The suede is still very soft and you can see the nap as you brush it Back-and-forth with your hand, it has not disrupted the beauty of the suede whatsoever! I could not be happier! So this is not just a great product for awnings and everything that they are telling me that they use it for it is a great product for UGG boots as well. I would not even hesitate to use it for one Minute on the very light tan boots which I do not have but might be my next purchase. I live in Buffalo, NY and we have a lot of wet snow we weather and rain and the highway department they're always spreading rock south onto the highway's p minute on the very light tan UGG boots which I do not have but might be my next purchase. I live in Buffalo, NY and we have a lot of wet snow we weather and rain on the highway department they're always spreading rock south onto the highway's so that they don't freeze. This is going to help greatly. I have used other products with success but this has been so far the ultimately greatest product I have ever used on my UGG boots. I plan to get the product that they suggest for leather to do all of my leather boots as well! I give it five stars without hesitation!

Awesome fabric protector
This stuff is awesome. It says it is for outdoor use but i decided to use it on my 2017 silverado truck seats like you would scotch gaurd. I checked for staining and color bleed, and it was fine. 2 weeks later i spilled some acid bowl cleaner on the seat and it beaded up. I used a wet towel to clean it up and expected it to eat thru the cover by morning but the next day i came out and there was no problems. I cant beleive this stuff protected my cloth seat that good. My fingers even burned by handling the bottle that broke open and caused the leak in the first place. I will aleays use this stuff on all of my fabrics, inside and outside.
