It Worked Out Well...Even For Other Purposes

I got this to cover a futon mattress that my cat loves to lay on. I was tired of vacuuming off cat hair and shutting the door to the room. I decided to try this. It's thick so not as clear as I would like it to be but I knew that was probably going to be the case when I bought it. I wanted the color of the mattress to show through (which it does just not as vibrant, it kind of has a milky look). I knew by thickness I shouldn't have to worry about claws cutting the plastic and so far I have been right. Since, this was not bought for it's intended use I have to say that I think it would hold up well for moving and storing mattress (which I have done plenty of). It does have an open end similar to an envelop. So if storage is your intention then I would suggest maybe taping it up well.

Great quality at a reasonable price!

I ordered several bags in both King & Queen sizes and was very pleased with the thickness and durability of the material. All the mattresses fit easily into the bags with some packing tape required to seal the bag. The bags had no holes that some others have mentioned and kept the mattresses completely clean. Susan in their Customer Service was also fantastic as they agreed to refund for an unused bag even though the 30-day return period had expired.

Works in a pinch to vacuum seal a memory foam mattress.

We ordered this product because we needed to attempt to re-vacuum seal a foam mattress for return to Amazon (that was a whole different saga, but I digress...). Other reviewers commented that the bag was thick and worked in a pinch for vacuum sealing. We found that the bag itself held up well, even though it is not designed for vacuum sealing. However, the open edge was difficult to seal well enough to maintain the vacuum for an extended time. We ended up vacuuming the mattress and folding it as best we could, then taping it and re-boxing it. This mattress cover did an acceptable job holding a vacuum on the mattress, so I am giving it five stars because it exceeded its design purpose and helped us re-pack a king mattress.

Strong

We followed the reviews of others and wanted to vacuum seal our Cali King memory foam Tuft and Needle mattress. This works like a dream, moved it across country and in/out of a basement before removal and it never tore or burst or anything. I'm elated! All we had to do was tape up the overlap flap! It enabled me to pack a trailer instead of renting a Uhaul to get it and my boxes across the US. Woo!

Great! Exactly as expected

This was surprisingly easy to put on my king mattress. Now, it can be stored in the garage until we need it.

Don't let the bed bugs get you!

I would never move my bed without putting the mattress in a bag like the Cresnel Mattress Bag. Even an empty van can have infestations from previous customers. These are very nice, heavy bags and it is very easy to slide them over your mattress. I then use packing tape to completely close the open end. Well worth the money to protect your bedding. Highly recommended.

Great product

Great product. I purchased the Queen size bags to cover Full size mattresses. They are stored in an outside shed, and I feel comfortable that the bags are keeping out moisture and bugs. Be sure to use packaging tape as a tight seal for the flaps.

Nice, thick plastic. More than roomy enough for my 14" thick mattress.

Great bag - I wish I'd have bought one sooner. After having a very nice, expensive Sealy Posturepedic sitting in our storage shed uncovered for five years, I figured when it came time to move across the country with a uhual it was a good time to buy a mattress bag. I searched reviews on other bags and most of them seem to be thinner mil plastic, and I was considering buying some heavier mil painter's plastic and duct taping it together, but then I found this bag. It's a little more pricey, but fairly thick and sturdy - much more so than most of the other bags out there with my experience hunting for them online. It held up well between a loading and unloading (plastic did not rip with handling), and it fit my 14" thick queen with plenty of room to spare. Great bag!

Works Well Against Bedbugs, too.

The work great for sealing mattresses that have bedbugs. The is heavy weight. The width is roomy without too much excess. The length is longer than mattress. There is about 8" of additional length. That gives plenty of room to tape the mattresses in securely. Packing tape sticks to this extremely well. For anyone using for bedbugs; after wrapping mattress in this, I used a padded mattress cover. That gets rid of the noise from the plastic. There are zippered vinyl mattress bedbug covers available on Amazon. They are soft, zippered, white, and cost twice as much as these. I used these on a twin bed, and for the base of a king size bed. If using the zippered vinyl mattress covers, there's no need to use a padded mattress cover. They are quiet and soft. The appear like a almost like a sheet, but they are definitely vinyl. Both work well against those pest.
