Expensive, but worth it!
Amazingly effective. Expensive, but worth it to me! My wheels are quickly darkened by brake dust, but I can generally easily wipe and wash that away. However, after going through a New England winter, the wheels become yellowed (a combination of brake dust and ice melting chemicals?), and heavily spotted with brake dust that won't wipe off. One spring, I used another cleaner (P21S) and a scratch-less Scotch sponge pad to get it off. It took me hours, and I wasn't happy to be scrubbing the paint on my new car's wheels. With Sonax, I just spray the wheels until they're wet, wait five minutes while they turn purple, and hose them off, and they're clean and silver -- all of the yellow gone. I was just amazed. I can only do my wheels two times on a bottle, so it's a little expensive. The sprayer on the bottle is a little junky (it doesn't spray a very nice pattern -- tends to spritz erratically), but it works well enough, and I'm so happy to not be risking damaging the finish on my wheels by scrubbing them -- worth every penny to me. Highly recommended!

This stuff works great, however I have the following recommendations:
This stuff works great, however I have the following recommendations: A. Apply only when the wheels are totally cool to prevent drying. B. I like to dilute it a little bit with water to make it last longer and reduce drying. C. Use a high-quality spray bottle like the Chemical Guys product. These mist much better and greatly reduce waste of this expensive product.

Every car wash I had to look at the wheels staying dirty. No amount of soap or scrubbing helped
Guys! Please run out and buy this product!!! I’m very difficult to please and skeptical about most things. Saw this YouTube video on this product and thought why not. I had already tried simple green, engine degreaser, oven cleaner, purple power, nothing was killing the baked on brake dust and grease caked on there for years. Every car wash I had to look at the wheels staying dirty. No amount of soap or scrubbing helped. I was about to try muriatic acid!!! This thing works for real. Sprayed it on once and let soak for 4min washed away most of it. Sprayed it on again, light scrubbing with toothbrush and rinsed it off. Last bit was just a dry towel that I rubbed and last bits came off. Wheels/Rims haven’t looked this good since I bought the car. For real.

Amazing!
This stuff is amazing. I've used MANY different wheel cleaners over the yeas, and most were really no better than Windex. I used this product to clean my summer wheels used 9 months of the year. I cleaned front and backs (they were removed from the car). The back of the wheels have 15 years of accumulated, backed in wheel dust. In the past nothing has made a dent in getting the backs clean. I sprayed the wheel with Sonax, waited about 5 minutes, scrubbed the wheel with a wet Scothbrite pad and then hosed it off Most of the wheel dirt came off. They are cleaner than they have ever been. I am really impressed. The product is expensive. I used just about an entire bottle to thoroughly clean 4 wheels, but it is worth the price. I ordered two more bottles.

BMW OWNERS TAKE NOTICE
OK so the past two vehicles Ive own have been BWM, and if you own one you know the two words to follow.....BRAKE DUST, that ugly nastiness that never goes away, and that we spend countless hours scrubbing away at, not any more! My 530xi and my now X6 were both madding with dust till i found sonax took it right off no scrubbing, even the caked on junk that gets in the corners...gone. When it was time to do my brakes on the X6 i changed the pads to a different brand, which solved my dust issues but still use this to keep the rims super clean.

This stuff is great. Rear wheel was even quicker
Just used on my 2006 S2K. Front wheels were black with brake dust rear (as usual) were hardly noticable. Sprayed on left front & left rear wheels. By the time I finished sprying the rear wheel the front was a very dark red. Along with this product I ordered the Wheel Woolies and the lug nut brush. Used the lug nut brush and the large wheel woolie (about 2 min. total) and rinsed the front wheel. Without a ton of work it was cleaner than at any time (other than new). This stuff is great. Rear wheel was even quicker, cleaned lugs, a little agitation with the woolie and a rinse. Dito for the right side wheels. I've read some reviews where the odor seemed to be a factor. This may have been on the regular Sonax wheel cleaner and not the cleaner plus. Did not notice any odor at all (of course my nose has been broken a few times but I did not notice an odor of any type). Try this stuff out. I can only imagine what the wheels would look like if I really used all three woolies and spent 10 to 15 min. per wheel (which is about the time I spent on all four).

Best hands-off wheel cleaner
I'm a bit of a car nut, and I've been using Sonax wheel cleaner for many years. It's the only product I've seen that truly does a credible job when you want to just spray it on and not scrub. You spray, wait for it to turn an ugly brownish red (it actually looks like blood!) and rinse with the hose - voila, clean wheels even if they were dirty to begin with. Only caution is that you really need to spray it thoroughly with lots of water. If you leave Sonax to dry on your wheels, the dirt it liberated almost bakes on to your wheels and can be quite difficult to remove. Just be sure to rinse twice (or more) and you won't have this problem. If you like clean wheels and you don't like scrubbing, then this should be your first stop!

Amazing product!
Have always had an issue with break dust on my 2006 Acura MDX. Most products require scrubbing, not this stuff! This stuff is amazing! The break dust just dropped off! As you can see in the pictures, it was dark black and then the dust just starts dripping off leaving a beautifully cleaned wheel well. The rims also look great. I've noticed it helps too repel break dust also!

Removes Caked-On Brake Dust Easily!
Works Extremely Well! Removed 9 years of caked-on black metal brake dust. Some minor spots remain, but my wheels were horrendous before Sonax WCP. Alloy wheels now shine! I went from shame to pride over my wheels in about 30 minutes with very little work. Here's how Sonax WCP works. To protect my hands I wore Mr. Clean gloves Mr. Clean Bliss Premium Latex-Free Gloves, Large, 4 pairs. Sprayed on Sonax WCP and let stand for 4 minutes (not more), then worked in the Sonax further using a Mothers Wheel Brush Mothers Wheel Brush for maybe 2 minutes. Then sprayed with water using a garden hose with nozzle set to jet, then set nozzle to shower for final water rinse. That's it! (On one wheel, to see the difference I sprayed the Sonax, let stand for 4 minutes, then sprayed with water without using the wheel brush. The wheel brush definitely helps in the dirtiest areas. So I dried the wheel, sprayed Sonax again, let stand 4 minutes, used wheel brush, and sprayed with water.) Great results!

Easily Dissolves Brake Dust
Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus is great for cars with brakes that produce a lot of dust. Simply spray on then wait a few minutes for the product to work (it turns purple) before wiping (I use wheel woolies) and rinsing. This is probably overkill for most mainstream cars but nothing is better for sports cars or cars with neglected wheels. This is obviously a bulk amount - I bought a couple of the 16 oz spray bottles and have been refilling those. Also note; the product does have a strong odor. It doesn't particularly bother me and I don't notice it after I'm done washing my car.
