Not packed in water. This is not tuna. This is a fine pair of scissors.
I am an ex-cosmetologist/hair stylist. I have been cutting my own hair for years. These scissors cut like a knife through butter. Be careful when face framing! The blades are better than you think. At this price I expected less. Also, why are the other reviewers complaining about them being packed in water? This is not tuna or sardines. The scissors come packed in oil, as they should. Water. really people?

Well made and sharp!
I needed a good pair of barber scissors to trim my beard, and purchased these based on other reviews. These scissors appear to be very well made, and are SHARP. At first I thought the finger holes were a little small, but once I used the scissors, I found they were perfectly sized for holding them correctly. I especially like the tension adjustment - no tools needed, just twist with your fingers. It has a 'click stop' so it stays where you put it, a nice feature. I'm very glad I got these. It makes keeping my beard neat so much easier.

Sharp and work well.
Whoa, these are sharp. I am a cosmetologist and I lost my shears like this that I paid $200.00 for. I didn't want to pay again, thus I took my chances on these, being the reviews are favorable. These ARE razor sharp! I accidentally swiped my finger and cut it. (silly me) I hope they stay sharp because these will be my go to from now on. They cut the hair well. Save money? Oh yea!

Great!
These are great sissors! I’ve used them to cut my hair twice now and have no complaints. They’re very sharp and give a nice blunt cut!

Love these scissors
Love these scissors! I have been cutting my husbands and sons hair for many years but with more basic scissors as well as clippers. I never went to hair school but my 2 sisters did and I picked up some skills. I always planned to step up my scissors... My son has been growing his surfer locks longer... The basic scissors just don't cut it anymore LOL. Love the texturing scissors! They are both sharp, cut with precision and you can adjust the tension with the center dial. Totally worth it! And they weren't expensive!

I am a 49 year old man with really long hair.
I used to play guitar. I have always possessed flaxen ribbons of golden hair trailing across my neck, shoulders and face. When I played power chords, I convulsed my neck so my hair flailed around like the windswept tail of a majestic box kite. Years of thrashing my neck for several hours at a time has caused multiple aural hematomas (a condition common in dogs) in which pockets of blood have accumulated behind my ear flaps causing dizziness, confusion and intense eye-withering pain as I now try and perform even the most mundane tasks like toothbrushing or combing my long beautiful tresses. No longer able to perform anything more than a simple ballad in my robust neck brace while carefully perched dead still on a specially constructed high-backed stool, I have opted to cut the fore curtain of hair fanning across my forehead and waterfalling down my pallid face. These scissors worked awesome.

Well made and works great!
Very well made and extremely sharp. You can cut yourself badly if you are not careful. My wife says it works very well. I found it rather small for my hands. Overall very happy wiith the purchase

Perfect!
I am not a pro barber, but I have had some experience in maintaining my family members' haircuts for years. Those times, I had pretty good professional shears too, but I left them behind when I moved to a new place. Now I needed to cut someone's hair again, so I purchased these shears. My choice was mostly based on very good reviews and a reasonable price. The shears surpassed all my expectations. They have very comfortable grip, they are convenient to work with and extraordinary sharp! With these shears, I can cut hair ends half an inch from my fingers without the hairs slipping along the edges. This is how barber's shears ought to be! Let me comment on some complaints in other reviews. Yes, the shears come wet in the transparent plastic pack, but this is not water, and they are not used. This is high quality clean machine oil to avoid stains. Well, I am not sure why stainless still needs to be protected from stains… Of course, the fine cutting edge may be more susceptible… Anyway, it's better to be safe than sorry. Just wash the scissors with soap and soft sponge after receiving and you'll be all set. Another common complaint is small hole where the thumb does not fit. The first thing they teach you at barber's courses is that you should never push your thumb through the hole (see the picture labelled "Wrong"). You should put only the tip of the thumb inside (see "Right"). This is because you should be able to quickly fold the shears in your hand ("Hand folded") and then use the thumb and forefinger to hold the comb ("Use comb"). Well, if your ring finger does not fit into the hole, that would be a different matter; you won't be able to use the shears. Just in case, the ring finger hole is 13/16" by 5/8" (21 by 16 mm), something like #9 finger ring size (USA).

Clean cut!
These are awesome scissors. Bought them to cut my split ends at home. I have got to say that the quality is amazing, same (if not better) to those I've seen at my hairdressers. I also like that you can adjust the scissors tension (mine is set to the maximum to have a clean cut).

Shears are Excellent!!!
I am a barber and these shears are excellent!!! I originally bought a pair 6" shears from Sally's beauty supply for $60. Just wanting a second set and a pair of thinning shears, I figured why not spend half the price & buy this set, but I was amazed with the quality and durability of the shears these are excellent! They're also sharper and cut way better than the ones I bought from Sally's beauty supply. I recommend these to anyone who works as a professional barber or hairstylist. You will not be disappointed!!!
