Quality Craftsmanship

I have needed a rubber mallet on so many occasions and have never had one. In the midst of a project requiring one, I hoped on the Amazon app and ordered this guy. It gets five stars for giving me the piece of mind that I will never have another sore palm from manually pushing or risk breaking another tool (or product) that's clearly not designed for the job. Now that I own it, I'll probably never have the need for it again. But if I do, I'll be ready!

Nice lightweight mallet at a great price.

I have purchased a few various TEKTON tools over the last year. I was in need of a new rubber mallet and the price seemed very fair so I figured I would give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised on the build quality of this when I received it. Has a nice nonslip grip wrapped around a lightweight fiberglass handle. The rubber head feels firm when striking and even though I have the black version it didn't appear to leave any marks on anything I struck. UPDATE 08/04/2016: Included some photos after I just used it to diagnose the source of a heat shield rattle.

Powerful and sturdy

My hand and wrist aren't as strong as they once were, so I've been looking for something to help with chopping through bones with my cleaver. This mallet fit the bill. Not much recoil on impact and the face of it is holding up really well. I can get through chicken and spare ribs easily with this.

Great lightweight tool - Just what I wanted!

I purchased this Rubber Hammer at a great price! Actually, this product is better than I had expected. It's very lightweight - only 16 ozs. It's very well constructed and I love the handle grip. It works perfectly for my needs when I want the power and force of momentum as that of a regular hammer, but NOT the nicks, scratches, or dents on the object I'm striking. This has just the right amount of power! I'm very happy with my purchase!

Good quality and long term tool

This has worked very well. Have used for several projects around the house and yard and it is durable and has worked very well for hammering surfaces that are subject to damage from a regular hammer. Looks like a tool that will be in use for many years as to durability. Would purchase again.

And it is nice to have the lifetime guarantee in case it does ...

I'm a huge fan of Tekton tools. They have big name quality, for a fraction of the cost. And it is nice to have the lifetime guarantee in case it does end up breaking. The handle seems securely fitted to the mallet, and the overall quality seems excellent especially considering the cost. I highly recommend this if you are in the market for a rubber mallet.. which if you are reading this review chances are that you are.

If you need a rubber mallet, you've come to the right place.

This was a great purchase. I needed a rubber mallet for pounding cinder blocks flat into a layer of compacted sand, and this has done the trick. I've also used it on delicate pavers, too, and it hasn't so much as broken a chip off of anything. I would expect the mallet head to look chewed up and worn to pieces after the abuse I've put it through, but it still looks brand new. It's got exactly the right amount of weight, feels good in my hand, and the center of gravity feels like it's in the perfect spot. This thing is pretty heavy, but I haven't felt sore after using it for a few hours at a time. It also does a great job of absorbing the impact, as it doesn't feel like I'm getting any uncomfortable vibration after hitting the cinder blocks or pavers. I'm whacking 'em pretty good, too, so it's impressive that I'm not hurting myself. At this price, it's a no-brainer if you think a rubber mallet will help you with whatever project you're doing. I have never used a rubber mallet before, and I may not need it again for years, but I feel like this was a great purchase to help with this specific job, and I have absolutely no regrets on picking up a tool that I may not use very often at all. Go for it, dude.

I needed this...no...wanted my very own rubber mallet for my own toolbox.

I was happy to buy myself a new tool for my new tool box. I used this rubber mallet today to assist with assembling metal shelving. It is lightweight and help do the job! I love the quality too! My dad taught me to care for and clean tools. Having my own, alleviates the stress of digging into my husbands tool box - yuk! Love my rubber mallett!

Great mallet

This TEKTON Fiberglass Handle Rubber Mallet is a great tool. It is very high quality and is also very durable. I have used this mallet a lot in an automotive shop and I love it. I do not have any complaints about it and would recommend it to everyone.

Rubber mallet is about 13 and 1/2 inches in length. Mellet face is about 2 and 3/16 inches diameter. Mellet head length is about 3 and 3/4 inches. I love this mallet. I've used it a lot already including pounding stakes into the yard (lawn edging and holiday inflatables) and shutting paint/stain can.
