This is a great multimeter for the price. I've used it to diagnose car issues and household problems as well and it works really well. Being new to a multimeter it does take a bit to figure out, but a few YouTube videos on how to work it and specific scenarios helped a ton. At this price it's a must for any basic toolkit.

I have had a very simple Radio Shack volt=ohm meter for many years. I knew that it was not accurate; e.g., indicated more voltage on batteries than they had. It wasn't until recently that I realized the higher voltage it reported was NOT a % of the actual, but a + to every measure. For example, it might report that a new 1.5 volt battery was 1.55. No big deal there, but when a battery gets very low/is essentially exhausted, It would say it had 1 volt, vs. this multimeter saying the real voltage is 0.350. Big difference. Other positive features: Price (methinks it's a bargain); it has slots on the back to store the probes (have never seen that on any other multimeter); the readout does not jump around even though the probes are solidly connected. I returned a Southwire meter I had bought at Lowe's that did that.

If you're like me, you're looking for a high value multimeter that just works and won't break the budget. I recently had the exciting task of fixing an expensive microwave that decided to stop working after 5 years. All the YouTube and diy fix it websites had me measuring voltage to troubleshoot - time to research multimeters on Amazon! There are a ton of multimeters out there that really span the price range. After reading through many reviews I decided this crenova auto ranging digital multimeter was it. I love that it's back lit and has a little kick stand to help with readability. The protective hard rubber casing gives me the piece of mind that it won't get cracked if knocked into or dropped. The leads are well designed and hefty for grip and durability. I highly recommend this unit to any diy fixer. Great value!

needed to test AC 120 volt wiring in 70 year old house with the circuit breaker box labels were incorrectly marked (living room, bedroom, kitchen, etc...) in order to make sure circuits were not "live" when replacing house wall receptacle. The back lit LED is very bright and came in handy when testing for live circuits and the LED clearly identifies whether your voltage selection is AC or DC so you don't make a mistake between the different voltages. The selection knob easily identifies voltage on the left side, amperage on the right side, so a "rookie" should be able to figure out the different knob selection settings. My next project is identifying a 12 volt DC parasitic amperage draw in my VW Jetta car so the 10 amp DC plug-in will allow me to diagnose the source of the amp drain when my car sits overnight or has not been driven for a few days. Good Luck on finding a different and better multi meter tester at this low price.

This multimeter is just as good as a more expensive model work well and has a backlight.

I got this to replace my cheap 30+ year old DVM that I dropped one too many times. Functionally, this does what I need it to do. I'll mainly use this for basic things like checking for voltage, resistance or continuity for my vehicle or guitar projects. If I need anything more accurate, I use my Fluke meter - which is about never for me. Pros: 1) Comes with two sets of leads. One set with alligator clips - which you can use one from each set and clip the alligator onto a grounding point (something I wished my old cheap one had). My Fluke has interchangeable ends, but it's bulky. 2) Small size will fit in any toolbox. Minor cons: 1) The leads are a bit on the short side. They're about 2 ft long, (which is decent), but I'd like it if they were another foot longer. 2) The continuity (diode) test function beeps, but not as the default. You have to hit the function button to enable the beeps. 3) The auto-ranging function is a bit slow. When measuring resistance, it takes a little over a second to get a stable reading.

I like the simplicity and ease of use. I don't do any serious electrical work and therefore don't need all the bells and whistles available on the more expensive and complicated digital multi-meters. All I need to do is check continuity, low voltage DC circuits and typical 125 volt AC circuits. Also appreciate the various options for connecting to the work to be checked.

Very nice inexpensive DVM. I purchased several of these for my biomed technical classes that I conduct and my students are impressed at the quality of this little meter. The accuracy is very close to my calibrated Fluke DVM. This meter cannot be calibrated.

Works good , does what I need it to do

Good quality multimeter that saved me a bundle. First off, this multimeter does exactly what it's supposed to do, so a plus. It worked right out of the box...and I very much appreciate the supplier providing the 9 volt battery for it! The quality of the probes is good...they feel solid, not small and flimsy, and I'm confident my big clumsy hands will be able to use them well without dropping them. So the save.....my son's slot car track, battery powered, wasn't working. I took everything apart trying to find the problem but could see nothing wrong. Replaced all batteries, and still no good. Once I received this multimeter, I was able to trace the voltage at the beginning of the power train up to the end and found a broken connection. Quick fix and the track was up and running. I couldn't have done that without the meter. And the 20 bucks paid for the meter was a lot better than having to go out and buy a new slot car track! Thanks very much to Crenovo for a great product that saved me money. And, the company has emailed me a couple times to make sure I was happy with the purchase. Great customer service!
