I bought these for my son who is in the restaurant business, so he is on his feet all day. First off, they look great, so much nicer than athletic style shoes! Much classier! Also, they are very comfortable. My son added some Dr. Scholl's inserts and now they are super comfortable! I have not heard any complaints of sore and tired feet since I bought these for him. Since he has only been wearing them a week or so, I cannot attest to their sturdiness yet. Hopefully they will hold up well and last a long time! If not, I will be back to modify this, as that would potentially be my only complaint. So far so good!! EDIT: After only one month the back part of the heel began to fall apart. Pieces of the plastic that form the back wall of the heel began to fall out in jagged chunks. I am very disappointed that these shoes would last such a short time! I have returned the obviously defective shoes and bought another pair. I am hoping that that was a one off defective pair of shoes and not indicative of how the shoe will actually hold up. So, I have given the shoes a second chance with a second pair and will know in a month or so if they will hold up better. If they do, then this current 5 star review will stand because my son really does love the shoes. If they dont hold up again, I will be back to re-review.

I would expect to have to replace every 6 months at current wear. I loved every day of them, when they start to go - they go fast. You can polish these but they will wear out on the inside before anything else. overall a great shoe.
I have extra wide feet and these fit great. They are comfortable and the foam inserts mean I can stand for long periods of time without my feet hurting. I use these for everyday wear in the office and they have held up well. If you are the type of guy like me who needs the width and support of New Balance shoes, then I would recommend these to you.

They are like walking on a pillow that bounces back each time you take a step. These things can take an abuse and still hold up. One pair I had of these boots lasted me over two years in the food industry. They are instant classics and if they were steel toe, I would have more pairs of them.

My husband LOVES these shoes. He's on his feet about 14 hours a day on hard cement floors, and has to have a shoe that looks attractive, is slip resistant, and has the proper foot and ankle support so he can stand up all day. These shoes are great, the oxfords are all he wears with black steel toe over-the-calf socks with a cushioned insole and he's good to go. They last quite a while, too. We replace them before they wear out because he's fussy about how the uppers/tops look. We've never had a pair fall apart or even start to come apart. They're great shoes!

I know the name Skechers from a pair of work boots that I once owned, so I thought I would try them for dress shoes. The fit was exactly what I am used to ordering. I laced them up in the morning, and spent the better part of a day wearing them under a variety of circumstances. These never felt like they were brand new; requiring a "break-in" period before they became comfortable. Fantastic grip, and not too aggressive a sole grip pattern. I am in clothing sales, so I like to dress business casual. These shoes look good at the end of a nice pair of dress pants. I received several compliments on how nice they looked. I highly recommend these to anyone who is on their fee for hours at a time. The wear-test will be conducted over the next year. I am expecting them to hold up well.

When they wore out, he bought 2 pairs of some other cheapo shoes at Krapmart, which he killed in under 2 months, so I came back and got him another pair of these, because I know they will last long enough to be worth the extra money spent.
This is my second pair. I wore the first pair 50 hrs a week for 18 months. never a crack or tear in the uppers. The sole of the shoe barely showed wear. The laces lasted the whole time. I probably could have worn them another year but I drag my heel when I walk and the heels of the shoe worn down causing an uneven gait. Being in retail for 45 years, the Skechers are by far the best work shoe I have ever worn.
Great fit, very comfortable and built to last. I am a professional meat cutter and my work environment puts these shoes through a pretty rough day. 3 months in and they are virtually like new. Granted, I clean them every few days and take good care of them, but they show no signs of harsh wear at all, so far.
