This works as a quick solution to get fleas off of my 14lb Russian Blue with a dense double coat. I've ordered it through Amazon twice and they've all worked, although the fleas do tend to come back because our neighbors insist on feeding stray cats and it looks like a cat sanctuary next door. As soon as my cat starts itching I immediately brush him with the SENTRY Flea Comb for Cats which is so good at trapping fleas. Then I'll follow instructions to apply Advantage 2 on the nape and then start to spray Bio Spot Active Care Flea & Tick Home Spray 24oz all around the house. I don't always do a follow up treatment if I don't find fleas on him again after a couple of weeks.

I've been fighting fleas on my pets for years. Tried a lot of different medications and options, few of which lasted or worked at all - Frontline was a joke. Comfortis worked for a couple years and then also started having minimal to no effect. . . etc. I have been through the ringer and the fleas in my area of have tomahawks. So, at least for now, Advantage II is a winner. I have to also give it high marks for one very specific thing: unlike all other monthly topical application flea meds I've ever seen, Advantage II can be reapplied after a week for severe cases. Which, having had issues of warnings that say 'do not reapply for 30 days', and the fleas getting active again in 3. . . is a very good thing. I did reapply on my dogs - who are indoor outdoor and the carriers that bring the fleas in to my cats. I do have one warning though: Stuff is strong. Both my cats are almost 10 pounds, so I got the nine+. The second time I applied it to one of them (full month later, not early) He started frothing, drooling and screaming for help. It was applied properly up above/between the shoulder blades, I even double checked the placement in case it had run a little and gotten to where he could lick it. He's fine, the fleas are gone. I don't suspect an allergic response, because this only happened the second time, but even so, I won't be continuing to use Advantage II on him as that did seriously concern me. My other cat had no issues whatsoever. I wouldn't necessarily bother reporting this, assuming it's a one off, but I found out from the person who recommended it to me, that this happened with one of their cats as well(who is also fine) so it seems a semi common reaction. So, TL,DR: as with any medication, watch your pets and be prepared in case of emergency.

I had used the weaker Advantage for smaller cats but my 2 kitties go out on the screened-in porch and kept getting fleas. But this stronger Advantage has done the trick as well as spraying for fleas on cushions and rugs out on the porch. I've always depended upon Advantage for other kitties but they were smaller. Now I have a Himalayan and another cat and they are both 9-10 pounds each. And the Himalayan has a lot of fur so needless to say, I needed something stronger. I'm happy as I've not combed any fleas out for 2 weeks now. So it must be working.

This is amazing!! And no I'm not someone who got paid to endorse this product. We usually take or pets to the vet and buy the high dollar flea and tick meds there, well being short on funds I decided to try something else. I read the reviews for this and I am so glad we purchased it!! Our cat was getting fleas bad, you could see them crawling on her face. I received the Advantage 2 put it on her as directed and wow!!! Within hours she is flea free!!!! We will definitely be purchasing this from now on!

Had awful flea problem last year for the fist time in years. Frontline-subsitute (whatever they sold in Walmart that supposedly has the same chemical) failed. So I bought real Frontline. That failed. Did nothing to help at all that I could tell, frankly. (Keep in mind, I am crazy and have been cursed with six cats and every attempt with these various products is pretty expensive). So I got the Advantage II (at this point, I didn't want to mess around and try the generic equivalent) and thank God it worked. Just got some more for this Summer to hopefully avoid a similar recurrence this year. Oh, also, only one of my six cats goes outside at all and that only for very short periods of time, but that is all it took for one cat to get fleas and for them to spread to the other five. It was a freaking nightmare. Thank you, Advantage II. Advantage II Flea Control Large Cat (for Cats over 9 lbs.) - 2 Month

This works!!! I've used Frontline for quite a while, but it just didn't get rid of my cats fleas this time. I had a couple of doses left, put one in the cat, it didn't do anything. I thought maybe I didn't get all of it on right, the fleas were getting bad, so bought a new box and 2 weeks later applied one of them, with no effect. Ordered this, put one on him, and that night he barely scratched. I'm going to stick with advantage II from now on.

This was our first time trying Advantage ll. Our cat was having a terrible time with fleas, first time in years it was this bad. He is black and white with a mostly white face. He was so bad you could see them on his face. All he did was scratch, we needed something to hopefully give him some quick relief. We've always purchased our flea products from our vet (at a much higher cost). Finances were tight so I came to Amazon looking for our regular product so I could use my gift cards. Needless to say it wasn't available here so I spent some time researching and reading reviews. This was well worth the risk of trying! Yes, I was afraid of wasting money ( okay...gift cards) on something that might not work. This product was/is amazing! Immediately after the application we could see the fleas dropping off of him. It's extremely easy to use. To apply just make sure you are putting it high enough up on the back or nape of the neck where they can't lick. Move aside the fur so you can apply right onto the skin, squeeze the tube until it's empty. If you aren't sure it's out of the licking reach just keep an eye on them for a bit to make sure. Mine doesn't even try to lick it off. Between the treatment, using salt on the carpets, vacuuming daily and immediately emptying the canister in the outside trash we had things make to normal in a few days. We did use the second does the next month and so far no more fleas. For the time being I think we will stick with Advantage ll. It shipped quickly, arriving before it estimated date, making us all happy!

As Always, works like a charm :) so the fur babies are comfortable :) Best flea control on the market for cats. But by all means, always try to keep your cats indoors, it's so much safer and you'll find you won't have many fleas at all, if any. I only treat my cat bi-monthly to be safe and make sure she remains flea free. She's indoors, so..... But yes, I highly recommend this product 😸

There's not much to say about this flea medicine except that it actually works. This is the only medication that I've ever used for my cat and it's worked faster than two shakes of a lamb's tail. I've done a lot of research on safe flea medication for cats, and Advantage seems to be the safest and most effective. I resorted to buying online because I didn't get off work in time and Petco was closed. I highly recommend this treatment for your felines.

This product was very easy to apply and started working immediately. My cats have not since had any signs of scratching. I was shocked initially at the fleas because my cats stay indoors, so hopefully this is a one time thing. I would definitely recommend to anyone who’s cats have fleas!
