Great helmet

Love this helmet. I've never skated before but am trying to learn how to ride a long board. Decided that my regular bike helmet probably wasn't the best protection. Great value for this helmet, comfortable, light, and hopefully never have to learn how well it protects my noggin - but it fits great and covers my entire head. Some other reviews commented that the lock mechanism at the back of the head interferes with collars, but even wearing a hoodie I had no touching of the back of the helmet to my sweater. Perhaps that reviewer had the helmet pushed back very far? I have the SM helmet and am a petite woman, so it really does cover my whole head. No troubles and I love the fit in the back. I'm using the extra padding (included) to make it a tighter fit. Great helmet. Oh, and great color. :)

Great reflective helmet

Got this for my husband because he bikes it to work when it's still kind of dark and the reflective part definitely works. When I measured his head, it was close to the S/M fit so we got the L/XL, but that was too big (even with the extra padding) so we exchanged it for a S/M and that fits perfectly.

Best dome shield there is

I skate 3-5 times a week and have loved wearing this helmet! It's mega comfy with the interchangeable pads and the adjustable fit dial system. I haven't smacked my head on anything yet but am much more comfortable on the board knowing that if I fall my noggin is in good care. And I bought the reflective one, pretty sweet. Highly recommend this helmet!!

Certified for both bikes & skateboards!

I bought it for my granddaughter who has a bike & a new skateboard. My son-in-law was very impressed cause he said the manufacturer is the same one who makes his motorcycle helmet. I did lots of research. This particular helmet is certified for BOTH bikes and skateboards. Very hard to find a helmet certified for skateboards because certification is only mandatory for bikes. Oh, and they are beautiful.

Dual purpose and high visibility

I ride a skateboard as part of my commute and was using my regular bicycle helmet for awhile, but I really wanted to invest in something else. I bought this because it's dual-purpose so whether a ride my board or my bike, my head is protected. I also purchased the orange color because it's more visible to drivers around you since the top of your head is the first thing they see (days I ride in the streets on an electric skateboard at 20mph). I can't say it looks great on me wearing it, but it's more about the protection than the look and the turn dial at the back really gives a good, secure fit. Definitely take the time and measure your head before ordering so you get the right size! And the helmet came with another set of inner pads to give a better fit. I think this is a great helmet and I definitely feel more secure if I ever crash into something. If I had the money, I probably would have gone up one for the version with MIPS.

Solid helmet...fits great...super cool...

Super cool helmet....doesnt look dorky like some...fits great if you properly measure like the instructions state...seems very solid and yet doesn’t feel bad...my daughter hasn’t had any major falls thank goodness but so far this helmet meets my expectations...I did my research and this helmet seems to satisfy others as well!

Triple Eight Gotham helmet in S/M CREAM

I serched for a long time for the perfect bike AND skate certified helmet, and this was the one I chose. I tried a few on at my local stores and just didn't like their "standard feel". I took a chance with this after reading a lot of reviews. I'm very happy with this Triple Eight Gotham helmet. I do A LOT of skating as well and this is perfect. Very comfortable. It stays in proper position without being too tight. It truly is a perfect fit for my 22.5 inch brain container (my head ha ha). My friend got his Bell certified helmet from walmrt and now he wants one like mine. The bell is ok, but I love this Triple8 Gotham...The extra few bucks was well worth it. It is a tiny bit heavier than my friends helmet however the construction is top notch quality. It has a triple 8 logo that you turn on the back of the helmet that tightens or loosens the fit, great design, I simply love it. It's comfortable, I got an extra set of sweat saver liners, it's fantastic quality construction, and bonus it's a perfect match for my new beach cruiser bike (also purchased here on amazon). Don't skimp on protecting your kid's Noggin'

Very good helmet. Looks cool too. Easy for them to adjust with the ratchet-type wheel. El Cheapo helmets at say Walmart or Target that don't fit right (you know when kids wear them tilted back for example) defeat the purpose of having a helmet in the first place.

Great adjustable for smaller head circumference.

My 8 year old son has a small head and this helmet has an adjustable dial, located in the back, for a snug fit - and best of all he can operate. Well worth the price!

Great Feel and Fit!

This helmet was purchased for a 6-year old. I did a lot of research before placing my order. Basically we want a helmet which is not only great in shape but also dual certified. We are so happy for choosing Triple Eight Gotham Matte and there is no regret after 2 months of usage. it feels so great when you touch its matte finish and fits the head perfectly well (after a quick and easy adjustment). It is definitely worth every penny spent.
