Perfect Freezer!

Great little freezer! Not too small and not too big - just right :) Runs quietly with no vibration - has a slight hum, sometimes. Love it! Very sturdy. Holds a tremendous amount of food, too!!

Freezer is great, only issue is there was a minor dent ...

Freezer is great, only issue is there was a minor dent on one side but not so bad where I feel the need to return. Otherwise it shows nice, I think I like it better in person then on the picture. It got really cold quick, I was able to put frozen acai in there within 20 minutes and keep that frozen. I purchased it to hold that for our martial art studio and it seems to work great!!! Love it, space is good inside, I wish they did package better because when you buy something like this you don't want any dents, damage.

Great Little Freezer

Arrived well packaged with no damage. Plugged it in with a fresh ice cube tray. Checked on it about an hour later and there was already a skim of ice. Next morning frozen solid. We have a double door fridge with a freezer that pulls out from the bottom. We needed to have something to allow for some extra storage without taking over space in our home. I also wanted one that opened from the front and not the top. My thought was that food would be more easily accessible with this set up but maybe that's just personal preference. There are two shelves and a basket that pulls out and though it's no bigger than a fridge you would have in your office or dorm room, it holds a lot of food. I've had this for about 2 months now and couldn't be happier. If I had one complaint I'd say that I wish it had shelves on the door but that's a minor complaint. All in all I would absolutely recommend this freezer. Update: 3/22/16 I have had this freezer for over a year now and couldn't be happier. It runs silent, it's deceptively spacious and I have yet to have to defrost it with minimal buildup to this point (though I don't open it all that frequently). Really pleased with this purchase. Random Update: 8/26/16 (still haven't had to defrost) Not sure how many people will find this helpful, but we have the freezer tucked into a medium sized pantry where it takes up about half of the space along the back wall. Found the Storak 3 Tier Kitchen Cart that fits perfectly next to this freezer from a height and depth perspective. It's on wheels which roll smoothly if that makes sense and is really sturdy. Took everything out and placed in coolers with some freezer packs. Put the freezer outside with the door wide open on a hot sunny day and within a couple hours all of the ice buildup had melted away. Tip the freezer to get the water out and wipe it down and you are back in action. Simple though clearly it would be nice to not have to go through that exercise. Considering though it had been in use for over 2 years really hard to complain. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this freezer

Excellent Lttle Freezer!!

I just don't like the fact that FedEx wouldn't bring the freezer upstairs to my apartment, as they do with heavy packages. Had to bring it upstairs myself!! That being said, the unit itself is fine. There are no dents or scratches on the paint. It reaches a temp of -4 degrees on the coldest setting! The refrigerated shelves do an excellent job of keeping things frozen. I mainly bought it to relieve the fridge freezer's problem of being so overcrowded. I used to buy chest freezers. But they force you to dig to the bottom for lost items! No more drama with that! Everything is right where you can see it!! Now I can stock up for the winter ahead!!

Cold as Ice

This compact freezer is great! A little bigger than I imagined it to be--I'm 5'10" and it's about waist-high on me--but that works out because there's more than enough room. We were able to clear out our drawer freezer in the kitchen fridge and get all of our meat, bulk meals, etc into this one with room to spare. It has no trouble staying cold, either--the thermometer I have in there is showing an average of -10°F with the freezer on the coldest setting. Energy usage doesn't seem too bad and it's very quiet in our den, with only a slight humming when it's on. Like other reviewers, the freezer arrived a little beat up in transit--one corner of the box was obliterated and the corresponding corner of the freezer was pretty dented, and I almost sent it back. When I checked the interior though there didn't appear to be any internal damage, and the insulating layer was unexposed--so we kept it, figuring the next one sent would probably be just as beat to death. If you don't mind some denting from shipping, you can't go wrong with this freezer.

Best Purchase Ever!

We downsized from a large home to a condo and I went from having a very large free-standing freezer to a very small fridge/freezer in the kitchen. I really missed making food purchases that required more freezer space than I had. I rearranged my laundry room and created space for this compact freezer. Well worth the purchase! This little freezer holds a lot and it's made grocery shopping more fun because I have space for extra freezer items. It works very well, it's very quiet and I am so happy I have this little freezer. One of my best purchases on Amazon!

the freezer works very well, it got cold very quickly and is so quiet you don't even know it is running and since it is kept in the kitchen this is important to me. The black body and stainless steel front go amazingly well with the decor. It arrived in pristine condition ahead of schedule. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.

Yes a dent, but I'm happy

Well, based on the the other reviews, I was expecting a dent, and sure enough, even though it was double-boxed in double-thick cardboard with no visible damage, my unit had a dent on one of the back corners. Looks purely cosmetic, so I decided not to worry about it. The unit itself runs great so far. It's virtually silent and is cooling to -20dC. Has a nice air-tight seal, and you can feel the lowered pressure from the cold air trying to hold the door closed when you open it. I was a bit worried because I had to plug it into the same outlet as a computer UPS, but it doesn't seem to have caused any issues. Overall. I'm pretty happy with it.

I have used this freezer for almost 3 months, and love it! It is just the right size for our needs, and arrived, in original factory packaging with only a small dent that was barely worthy of comment. I have added a few plastic dishpans to the shelves to help organize the freezer, and they work quite well. No need to defrost, so far. Organizing the contents is something I am working on never having owned such a large freezer before. 07.06.2019 Update after 2 years of ownership: I defrost it on an annual basis, and did so today. It is quick (use a fan) but a bit messy. I suppose if I did it more often it might be easier, but it really does not accumulate much frost. I would buy it again in a minute.

so good! Unlike the other reviews

So far, so good! Unlike the other reviews, mine arrived with no dents or scratches. Pretty much mint from the factory condition. It’s plugged in and (quietly)humming away! Not too big and not too small. It fits inconspicuously in my studio apartment. Oh, I also live in a walk up and had no problem shimmying it up the stairs by myself. It was not nearly as heavy as I was expecting it to be.
