I like it. The broom is very light weight and small enough to get into small spaces and the adjustable handle is also very nicely made. The dust pan is well balanced and does not tip over like my old cheapy that I used before. The comb on the pan helps to de-fur the bristles. I still have to pick the fur off but not as much as I would if the comb wasn't there. I'm satisfied with it.

I have been looking to replace an old broom and dustpan set but it was hard to find one that had the dustpan that pivots up. I like this feature to contain the dirt while you walk to the trash can and for storage. I thought the price of this was a little high when I ordered it, but like most OXO products, this is high quality. I don't really use the extendable broom handle, maybe I'm used to the short handle now. I find that when I'm holding the dustpan in one hand and the broom in the other, the long handle is awkward. My husband does extend the handle, though, and likes it. I am loving the bristles on the dustpan the clear off anything sticking on the broom. Between my long hair and the cat hair in the house, this simple feature makes sure that it all comes off the broom and into the dustpan instead of clinging for dear life. This set is the best kitchen b.room and dustpan set I've ever seen. Well made (as are all OXO items) and very practical. It's really very clever to have a short handled broom that extends to full length when needed. We have a kitchen pantry with a hanging bar inside and this unit nests and hangs inside making it accessible for quick pick up of "stuff" that finds its way to the floor. The broom bristles are quite soft and seem to attract lots of little bits and pieces that are often not seen...and then when you use the comb device on the dust pan, all those crumbs and such just drop right into the pan. This may be a little "pricy" for some but as with all OXO products, you get excellent and lasting quality..

I Am Happy With This, It even comes with the Broom, I don’t have Any problem with it.. I had An Old One That Still functioned, But My Crazy Self Wanted A NEW ONE..So I gave The old one to my daughter, She was Thrilled, Dont have to bend over to Pick up Debris, and The. new One Lasted 1 week! Used it Mmmm Maybe 3 xs BROKE!! Sometimes Older Us Better, So I didn’t want to ask my daughter for my old one Back.. Anyways I bought this one, Just Like me Old One.. But with a Broom, sure Not Thst Sturdy Of A Broom, But I’m not going to be Riding it!! :)

I’m disabled and got this because I sweep from a wheelchair. So using a regular dustpan is difficult. I gave it 4 stars on lightweight because the broom is actually pretty heavy. And 4 stars for easy to use because the broom is straight edged and I prefer angled to get in corners better. But the broom is a nice broom. If you don’t mind a straight edge and weight isn’t an issue then this would be an awesome broom. Love the telescopic pole very much since I could make it shorter since I’m sitting when I sweep. But it made my arms too weak so I use the pan with my other lightweight wood handle broom. The dustpan was what I really was after and I love it. I love that it has teeth to clean the broom since we have dogs and the hair sticks to the bristles. And the dustpan stand up nicely when not in use.

The best broom and dustpan set I have ever purchased. After researching numerous possibilities, this is the broom that won. I have a shop with old wooden floors with lots of space between the old wood planks. The bristles pick up everything between the planks. The rubber lip of the pan is flush with the floor and the teeth clean out the bristles perfectly. I was so happy that I bought another for my home and a third for the shop. This set costs a bit more, but in my opinion was well worth the price.

Ok first, I have to clear up the issue with the negative comments on this product: to all of the people writing that they received a used broom, you are all very unintelligent. The broom VERY CLEARLY has light-gray colored bristles at the very bottom of the broom, where the bristles start off being dark black up top. The bristles at the bottom are very soft and not coarse, which is what you'd expect for an indoor brush. I can tell this is where the confusion comes from, since people are seeing the light-gray color on the bottom and thinking "OH EM GEE it's been used! It looks dusty!" However, that is not the case, it is just the design which causes this look. Additionally, the dustpan is packaged openly during shipping, so any dust in the air or packaging material that was slightly disturbed while shipping, will end up in the dustpan, NOT A BIG DEAL, IT'S A DUSTPAN MEANT FOR DUST AND TRASH. Ah ok, I feel better now after setting that straight. Now, onto the review: I am a tall person, 6'2", and I very much enjoy the extendable function of the broom, it makes a large impact on my lower back pain. I can sweep while fully standing instead of having to hunch over. The dustpan is also excellent, it folds well, the rubber teeth work most of the time for removing stubborn hair stuck to the brush, and it clips together well with the broom to store it next to my dryer in the laundry room. I no longer have to dread sweeping due to lower back pain, and no longer have to put up with my old dustpan which didn't fold, and would fall over when attempting to store it, causing me to have to bend over behind my dryer and retrieve it.

Read the negative reviews and wondered if I should stick with the cheaper sets. Decided to take the chance and I'm pleased that I did. Arrived fully assembled, all I had to do was take the plastic off the broom and the cardboard off the dustpan. This is my official kitchen broom, so it won"t be used in the garage or out in the wood shop so the light weight is a plus. I really like the fact that I can sweep the cooking debris into the pan without having to use one hand to press down on it, the rubber edge lays that flat. If I had to find negatives, I can only come up with two. The dustpan teeth don't do that great of a job pulling the dust wads out of the broom bristles, but that's not that big of a problem for me. And the knurled gizmo on the broom handle to lengthen/shorten the broom is at exactly the spot where the plastic clip hits when snapping the broom and dustpan together for storage--but the broom is lightweight enough to require no undue effort to hold the broom about 1/2 inch higher. This may turn out to be a plus, as it insures that the broom bristles aren't being bent and distorted while in storage. Once again, Oxo has come up with a winning product. Must have been a female engineer that designed this...

I was hesitant to make this purchase at first based off a lot of reviewers saying they received used items, but I really needed something decent for sweeping up dog fur that will ruin even the best of vacuums. If you look at the pictures of the product, you will see that the bottom inch or two of the bristles are a grey color. The same color that reviewers believe make their brooms used. Inside the bin is just some sort of bristle dust, but you should (if the seller is actually Amazon) receive a new product. Since my broom arrived, I have used it quite heavily and practically daily. The bristles have stayed intact, and I haven't had any fraying happen so far. The bin works great at removing hair and whatever else may get stuck in the bristles. It's definitely annoying and time consuming when you have to try to pick it all out with your fingers. If you apply just a small amount of pressure to the top of the bin, you should be able to sweep that little bit of dirt that doesn't seem to want to go into the bin right inside. So far the only con I have noticed is the handle does seem a little weak. If you're too hard on the broom, I could see it snapping in the middle. At the moment, I would recommend this set to anyone.

I have owned several brooms and dustpans all different brands throughout the years, and I can tell you it is without a doubt the most superior one. To be able to extend the broom is a back saver. It is convenient and stores nicely. The dustpan sits flush with the floor. The teeth on the dustpan is a lifesaver; just put broom in and pull up...all dust balls and pet hair comes right off and falls into the dustpan. Dustpan empties easily in the garbage can. I cannot say enough good things about this duo. Makes sweeping up dust, dirt, hair, etc a breeze. I would highly recommend this set to anyone!!
