I'm beginning to doubt that I need to buy this stuff to clean my retainer but I'm still doing it and it does work? I'll be looking into a less resource-intensive alternative when I run out.

Takes longer than 20 min for the water to clear, but it does eventually clear. My retainers are plastic, so I leave them in all day/night and it seems fine, but there are warnings not to do so, especially for wire retainers. After rinsing, I don't get much of the taste from the tablets, if I do, it doesn't last very long.

Excellent product

Even the dentist's office could not get my retainers as clean as this product. Got all of the tea and coffee stains off on the first use.

Use with warm/hot water for best results.

I have been using Retainer Brite for several years for my Invisalign retainer. When the new packaging and new product was delivered March 2018 I was disappointed with the product. I ordered a different product now that my years worth of RB is almost finished and this product required warm/hot water to be activated. It has a fairly strong chlorine scent after cleaning complete. I then tried the RB with warm/hot water and it finally worked. The previous formula didn’t require warm water as it worked fine in cold. If you are using with cold water switch to warm/hot and you will be much happier with the product. It does say on the directions to use with warm water.

these work very well. keeps my retainer clean. i use 1/2 tablet in the morning after taking my retainer out for the day, then 1/2 tablet in the evening before putting the retainer in for the night. you can also soak your toothbrush head with your retainer to keep that clean too. easy system and easy to pack for travel.

Absolutely a life saver for dental appliances, highly recommended

After a ruined invisalign retainer for my daughter from discoloration we were convinced nothing could keep them clean. On a recommendation from one of the techs at her Ortho we tried this, well 2 months of use and it looks as good as new. Nightly soakings and brushing is all we do now. Her last one went cloudy and yellow in less than 3 weeks, using a denture cleaner and the same brushing. If you have dental appliances I cannot recommend this product highly enough!

Only product my friend uses for her retainer - purchased it for a whole year to make sure she didn't run out

Last year my friend asked me to purchase this Retainer Brite for her. She says it is the best product for keeping her retainer clean and feeling fresh. This year she asked that I get a full year's supply to make sure she didn't run out. She looked at all of the Retainer Brite products and already had a case so she decided to purchase this one. I don't have a need for this product so I have to go by my friend's recommendation. She tells me it is the only product that she uses.

A must to keep your retainers looking like new!

These are a must to keep your investment of retainers clean and clear. The tablets really do keep the retainer material clearer than if you tried to brush them clean. They also reduce the "smell" retainers can get.
