I really really like these (love, if it's possible to feel that sentiment for inanimate objects). They are a perfect size and better than what I expected. I like to use these for prep work when making dinner. Hold minced garlic, lemon juice etc. That kind of thing. Smaller than a standard measuring cup (go do the math, you know you want to. Fine. I will. 6.25oz is .78125 cups) Seriously. This is one of my favorite purchases ever. Top 5. AND THEY HAVE LIDS! Icing on the cake! I think this review is coming across as sarcastic, but I'm really not trying to be. This is a great product and you should buy it. I will likely buy another for myself and another to put in the drawer for the next occasion I go to because these are awesome.

I just ordered my second set of these wonderful little glass bowls with plastic lids. Great for busy people to make freeze ahead portions of meat to then thaw and eat w/ fresh veggies throughout the week. Saves $ and time. Great for leftovers, small dessert bowls, cooking prep bowls, so many uses! (These are lighter weight, more storable (stack inside each other), and more useful than the Ball 8 oz. Elite canning jars I was previously using for all these things.) I've had no trouble w/ lids not fitting or anything cracking or chipping. (Don't have a dishwasher, so not exposed to high heat.) I do avoid packing these right up to touching the lid to minimize BPA or other toxic chemical leaching into food in the freezer. One caveat: the lids are not leakproof. If the container tips at all with any liquid inside, it will seep out. So to take a container for lunch to work, I wrap it in a paper towel and securely twist it inside a repurposed plastic produce or grocery bag. Disappointed that these are now made in Mexico. Come on, Libbey, bring the production back to the USA!

I bought these bowls to use for pudding, instead of buying the pre-made cups at the store. They're perfect for that purpose. I can whip up a batch, pour it into the cups in equal servings, and throw them in the fridge with the lid on. And I'm sure I'll find lots of other uses for these little guys, as they're a good size for many things. The lids are nice and snug. The cups clean up easily in the dishwasher. And I like the look of the ribs/rings better than some others that I've seen out there. If I break any of these, I'd definitely buy these again to replace the broken ones.

I absolutely love these. I had bought a similar set from another company, and the lids started falling off right away. These lids you really have to push hard to get them on and off (but not so hard it hurts my arthritic hands), and they stay sealed. I use the constantly in the freezer and the fridge, for leftovers and deserts.

I do a lot of weekend cooking around the house, I guess you could say I fashion myself as an amateur chef. I worked in restaurants for a number of years in my teens, and one thing I learned there was the importance of mise en place, which translated loosely means "putting in place." For a cook, it means preparing all the little diced items or powders ahead of time and having them available as you assemble a meal. It saves a ton of time and mess. The problem for a home cook isn't remembering to do this, it's the fact that you simply do not go through as much stuff as you would at a restaurant. So this little bowl set is a fantastic find, especially since it comes with lids. When I am cooking, I can dice my parsley, cilantro, and any other herb; I can put some salt, sugar, or other powders within arms reach. And when I am done, pop a lid on and put it in the fridge or cupboard for the next day. No need to keep lugging the big heavy sack of sugar or flour out of the pantry for just a little bit. Works great, lids stay tight, everything is machine washable.

This custard cup size glass bowl is a must have, even without the lids. I cook in them freeze in them and store small portion of leftovers in them. As fast as I clean them they are used again before being put back on the shelf. Poached eggs, double jello shots, single serving quiche, frittata, apple crumble, individual dipping sauces etc. are only a few of my uses. They are thick glass and not only durable, but pleasing to the eye. For the price I would buy these to use for making gift candles or natural face scrubs etc., as well. The lids really are top rack dishwasher safe after multiple washings and continue to fit tightly.

I got these as a result of getting an InstantPot electric pressure cooker. Among other things, I can make fabulous vegetable or meat broths in the IP, and I also use broth in many recipes. Often small quantities, just enough for the steam pressure. These work wonderfully to freeze smallish quantities of broth. They have thawed in the fridge during the day when I remember, or safely in the microwave (plastic lid loosened) when I forget. They are happy in my dishwasher. The lids fit tightly and securely.

I'm not an organized cook. I'm usually rushing to cut or chop up something or look for and measuring spices, etc. in the middle of cooking. So, these, for me at least, have been perfect. They hold about 4 oz. and they seal very well. I've pre-chopped onions, garlic, ginger and stored them in my refrigerator for recipes I want to make in the next day or two. The lids are tight and they never leave an odor in the refrigerator. I've used plastic storage containers but they are generally larger than what I need and the chopped veggies don't seem to last as long as they do in these little glass cups. Plus, I don't have alot of counter space and these take up very little. SInce they are all the same size and stack well I don't have to work around them. Makes pre-assembly and organizing ingredients easy and makes cooking alot less stressful .

We were looking for small non plastic food containers and were happy to find these. The lids are plastic, but that is hard to avoid and ok with us. We bought one set at least two years ago and added on a second. They are the perfect size for packing food for our little one to take to day care. We put cereal, yogurt, fruit, cut veggies, pasta, etc. We like that they are rounded on the bottom because then they can be used like a mini bowl or snack cup at home.

Love these so far. Only giving them four stars because I've not had them long enough to judge everything about them. Love their perfect size for custards, baby foods, small side dishes or dieter's portions. All my lids are very snug although they may not be water-tight. I don't need them to be so haven't checked. They're better and easier than my usual plastic wrap on top and look nice. The glass is thick and sturdy and they ARE able to be used in the oven. (Obviously, don't put the plastic lids in the oven - bowls only). There were some people saying customer service said they couldn't, but am adding a picture addendum of the inside of box flap that calls them "bakeware" and says they are "dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe" but not to use them on stovetop, broiler, grill, open flame or direct heat source. And with any glass product, I would avoid sudden temperature changes. UPDATE: I've had these seven months now and can report they are still holding up well. I do use them to warm things up in our toaster oven (not with a broiler though) and have had no breaks or chips. The lids haven't warped even though I wash everything in the dishwasher. The longer I own them, the prettier I think they are! Am upgrading to a full five stars.
