This is a great option for someone fishing from small watercraft or from the bank. It works well in lakes and in larger "holes" in streams. The readings seem to be accurate. I like it because it assures me that there are fish in the water I am fishing. The only negative is that my phone is difficult to see in direct sunlight.

What an awesome little fish finder. Took it out ice fishing and it worked great! Can’t wait to try it in the summer at the lake!

I just got mine and I’ll start using it this weekend. So far I really like it, it’s compact and easy to use anywhere. I’ll provide an update after I get some time on it. Update: I used it most of the day today and it works great. Although the fish weren’t biting it was picking up a lot of them of all different sizes. The only thing I don’t understand is in the app and book it states it picks up above and below 15” size fish with orange tags for below 15” and green tags for above 15” . Today I experienced 20” to 37” fish on the sonar but the tags were orange. I’m not quite sure what to think of that yet. In accordance the tags should’ve been green for those sizes. I love how it tells me how deep the water is and the raw sonar is handy too.

This thing is awesome. Valuable tool to pinpoint fish while anchored on bars and drop offs. I use all day on one charge easily.

Love the iBobber. Great while drifting to show the fish from my kayak! Just be sure to buy a protective cover for your phone! Worked flawlessly.

I’ve had my iBobber for over three years and I’ve used it from Portland Oregon to the East Coast here in Delaware. I love it. It does exactly what they said it will. I can find fish, I can map the bottom where I’m fishing, and even save my fishing experience. If you want something that’s easy and ready to use offshore or in a boat I highly suggest you pick one up.

Great bobber for the price and is well loved. Only issue is it has trouble with cloud cover. So won't really help unless clear skies. Otherwise amazing!

I fish local small lakes, ponds and rivers via kayak and knowing the depth and temperature of the water is essential for finding certain fish. The IBobber is exactly what I was looking for and needing for this knowledge. You only have so much room on a 10ft kayak and with the IBobber the only extra piece of equipment that is needed outside what I already use every trip is the small pocket size IBobber itself. And to my astonishment, it’s pretty much dead on accurate with depth readings because I have actually used it along side of a friends Lowrance on his bass boat and everything was dead on, even with passing fish under the boat. I also like the price tag. You have an accurate sonar with a ton of cool features for just under 100 bucks. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased the iBobber July 3, 2015 for use in my fishing kayak. It was at a nice price point and has the benefit of supreme portability. While it had some software problems initially, ReelSonar offered rapid and helpful support, even offering a replacement unit in the meantime. The software issue is now resolved and I'm now seeing where the fish are in my favorite fishing holes. If you don't use an iPhone or iPod you will need an Android phone running KitKat 4.4 or higher with Bluetooth 4.0. For my use, I found an inexpensive TracFone that did the job so I didn't have to risk my daily driver phone so close to the water. Also, I attached the phone with Velcro strips at the front of my kayak cockpit so my hands could be free. There is no question that it is a benefit to know when you are over a fish, and be able to present your lure at the correct depth; especially in deeper waters and with schooling fish. Nice product.

Who hasn’t wondered about how deep, what size fish or what kind of structures were in their favorite, but uncharted fishing holes? I know I have! Picked this up to answer those questions. Right off the bat, I had an issue with updating the device. It required an update as soon as I linked to it(yours probably will too) but after speaking with a very helpful customer service rep, we got it squared away. Updating the device hint: The directions were very clear and straight forward, after linking it as per the directions (no issues with that) it required an update. It wasn’t updating the way it said to in the directions. So we figured out that it needs to be in the charging cradle to update properly. I hope this tip helps you out if you’re having the same issue I did. Besides the update issue, it has worked flawlessly and has helped me land a few big bass, as well as helped me see what was going on in the water. Definitely a product worth the money.
