Awesome product. We have tried other wireless doorbell systems in the past and have been very disappointed. Just the opposite this time! This system worked perfectly right out of the box (pun intended). We've only had it a week, but there have not been any hiccups. Unlike some other reviewers, we found the setup very straightforward. With regard to feedback that you need to run through all the tones/songs to get to the ones you want for each door, perhaps the reviewers didn't realize they did not need to listen to the whole tone/song each time. You can keep pressing the button right after each option starts until you get to the one you want to select. So, you only need to listen to all the options once, then quickly fast-forward to your selection. We have a large, spread out, two-story house and were able to put one receiver on each floor. The one on the second floor is audible in all bedrooms and also downstairs at the front of the house. We put the first floor receiver in the far back of the house, to let us hear the doorbells when we are away from the front door. Both receivers easily pick up the signal from both the front and side door buttons, which are closer to the front of the house.

These expandable door bells are fabulous. I was able to hear the different rings online so I knew that I would already like the rings that come with the units. It was as easy to install as plug and play. Seriously, there was nothing to it. Programming it was a cinch also. We have two doors-one that is attached to a portico and leads to the courtyard, and one that is our actual front door. I have one unit at each door. Each has a different ring so I know what door the visitor is at. We have a small house that my mom lives in that is attached to our house. We have the same set up with her units. The portico doorbell will ring in our house and her house, but the doorbell attached to her door only rings in her house. It's easy to adjust the volume, and moving the receiver to where you want it is a snap. Also, if you are going to be in the backyard, but you're waiting for someone and don't want to miss the bell, just take the receiver outside (test the range first) and plug it in. You won't miss that bell. These are just fantastic.

This STARPOINT system is the one to buy. I have owned three brands and not happy with any of them. I use them as a care giver indoors assistance alarm. You can put as many ringers-receivers and transmitters-buttons as you feel necessary. The ringers are both plug-in as well as battery ones available. The button-transmitters are both indoors and water proof Order these separately. I use both type bells in the event of a power failure. I use mostly the indoors button-ringer as it lights up when pushed. The water proof ones should be good for a shower area in as dry a spot as you can find. Mount these with adhesive pads and mount them low in case of a fall. I have them in all places my wife frequents and ditto the bell-recievers on loud where I frequent. I am slightly hard of hearing and the highest volume settings on both the battery and plug in ones are quite loud. There is 5 volume positions. Programming was very simple for all to work together in my situation with a lengthy attention getting tune or you can find a usual door bell tone too. There is about 50 choices of tones and tunes.. The is a YouTube video out on a walk through of programming them.

STARPOINT Expandable Wireless Multi-Unit Long Range Doorbell Chime Alert System, Base Starter Kit includes 2 Plugin Receivers & 2 Remote Button Transmitter, Model LCBase, White Very happy with this product and their tech support. Bought the base kit and added an extra 2 receivers ("bell") and 1 transmitter (button) for my 3,500 sq.ft. house. Easily programmed 2 of the units so that they all sound one way for the front door, and a different "bell" for the back door. Had difficulty with the 2 other receivers and emailed tech support (address on their website). They responded with an automated email, then a personalized email asking for a number to call me. When they did, my Caller ID said "telemarketing" so I didn't pick up. I got 3 more of those calls, and then another email that said they couldn't reach me. I sent another email this morning (a Sunday!) and they called me (same Caller ID but now I was smarter) within the hour. The rep walked me thru the setup and the step I was doing wrong, and now everything works perfectly. Impressive tech support and I'm very, very happy with the product. In fact, I just ordered (from Amazon) another transmitter for my side door and a receiver for my detached garage to hear when someone rings the front door. If you need flexibility in setup and a large distance, these are the guys to go to.

The transformer of my hard wired door bell failed, and try as I might I could not locate it. It's probably buried in blown in insulation. Hiring an electrician would have been prohibitively expensive, so a wireless plug in system was the obvious choice. I chose the STARPOINT because it was expandable and the base system contained what I needed. I added a waterproof unit for the more exposed side door. PROS The base unit arrived in two days as promised; the waterproof module arrived a day earlier than promised. Excellent service. Extremely easy set up I needed two classic doorbell sounds and found them Loud but adjustable. We have a very large house and the units sound throughout. I was concerned that the transmitters would not fit on the narrow door trim. Fortunately, they did, and the waterproof unit is only 1" wide. Some folks have complained about having to scroll through 50 songs, but it's not necessary to listen to each one completely. Just keep hitting the music button on the base unit, and you'll be able to go through all of them in a minute or so. The instructions say to act within 5 seconds to program the transmitters. They aren't kidding. CONS They've only been installed for a couple of days, so I'm hopeful we won't have spurious rings in the middle of the night , as some have reported. The base unit transmitters are not predrilled for screw holes. The waterproof unit is. I was concerned about cracking the case with a drill, so I used an awl. It worked but it was a bit of a pain which should easily be avoided. I don't t trust the tape to be a permanent solution. It's very difficult to open the waterproof case and changing its battery involves removing the tiniest of screws. I hope battery life is measured in centuries, not years.

This doorbell system works! I have tried other systems and not one comes even close to this system. The "ringers" plug directly into any AC receptacle and do not require batteries. The "ringers" can be easily relocated when needed and the two units that come with the system provide adequate coverage for the average house. I ordered an additional "ringer" that I plug into an outdoor receptacle when I am in the backyard. The door buttons are easy to install either with screws (which I did) or tape - both items supplied. The "ringers" also blink when activated, an added plus not contained in the product description. MAY 2016 - Just purchased a second set for my NJ home but this time I ordered the "water proof" buttons since they will be somewhat exposed. Placed one at every level of my home and all work fine. Thinking about installing one outside for when we are working in the garden. JUNE 2016 - Waterproof button - they are just what the manufacturer states - "water resistant". So far they have withstood some serious rain storms but it will take at least a year to evaluate correctly. I do advise putting a little dab of sealant over the top slot to give the button extra protection from the snow that will eventually come. AUGUST 2016 - Battery operated ringer - The arrival of my battery operated ringer completes my whole house doorbell/ringer system - one ringer on every floor and one outside on the deck. I needed a battery powered ringer because all other electrical receptacles were in use for other devices. Because it is battery operated we leave this one indoors where it serves as an additional ringer until we go outside. Works just as well as the plug-in ones work and it can even be put in a garden cart while we are working in the rear yard..

I am an acupuncturist with a 2 treatment room clinic. I want to ensure patients' safety and comfort during treatment when I leave them alone to rest. I purchased 2 "Starpoint Extra Add-On Remote Transmitters" along with 1 "Starpoint Extra Add-On Portable Vibrating Receiver". With this system, patients can summon me if they get uncomfortable or have to use the bathroom. I leave each patient with a remote transmitter and I clip the portable receiver to a belt loop or pocket. In the past, I used an overall doorbell system which alerted the entire clinic. This was affordable but disruptive. Later on, I invested in a set up similar to this one. The advantage was that the noise wasn't transmitted throughout the clinic. The disadvantage was it was extremely costly and the components broke easily. It was a challenge to figure out from the Amazon descriptions if the individual parts would work the way I wanted. I reached out to SadoTech, let them know my goals and asked for a recommendation. They emailed me within 24 hours with a spot-on recommendation. This system itself is about 1/2 the cost of my prior system. If/when I add more treatment rooms, I can just purchase new add-on remote transmitters. One extremely nice perk is all the tones to choose from. Some are loud and/or repetitive, while others are softer and/or quick. I set each transmitter to a different tone so I know which patient is alerting me. My patients are thrilled, especially those with prior experiences of being stuck in a room with a full bladder, getting too hot, etc. It gives patients and me peace of mind during every session.

I ordered this battery operated ringer to "back-up" the two plug in the wall ones with my original set-up. With an air-exchange system and hair dryer going full blast in bathroom, could not hear doorbell ring in nearest room. When I ordered the battery op one, I was concerned that before its arrival, there were two "tutorial" e-mails from Starpoint telling me how to activate it. I activated it by handing it to my son, who set up the originals. He did not have to refer to instructions. As he sets them up he gets to choose the music. He plays banjo, so my house is alive with the sound of Banjo On My Knee! I ordered original doorbells because I got tired of answering my door when a Home Advisor commercial comes on TV - it annoyingly ends with a doorbell ring identical to my house doorbell. oOw if my 40 year old houses door bell rings, I ignore it. The TV one, too.

you can use these for more then a door bell, we use these when my mother was sick with cancer and put one on a shoe string to hang around her neck and had one by the bed and the we have 3 chimes on long songs in homes on each side (I live on one side and my sister on the other ) and when she or my dad needs help in the night we could come running, my mother passed away and hospice or someone misplaced the remotes so I had to order 2 new ones for my dad cause he is getting slower since my mom is gone. thank you so much for this product it helped us give my parents quality of life and keep there independence
