Perfect For The Home
I bought this shredder three and a half years ago and it is still going strong. I use it several times a week. In this age of identity thieves, I shred everything with my name and/or address on it. This shredder does not vertically shred paper. It turns it into confetti. I shred my bills (after I have paid them!), junk mail, old medical records, whatever. I like the reverse feature in the event I feed too many pages at once. To keep the shredder lubricated, every once in a while I take a letter sized paper and spray it with Pam or a generic vegetable oil and run it through the shredder. It's as simple as that. There is a vertical window on the side which indicates how full the shredder is. Even so, if it gets overfilled, it stops working until you empty it. I am very very happy with this shredder for my home.

DocShred C560-D Doc Shredder
C560-D Micro Cut Paper Shredder. So far this item has worked very well for me. I have shredded a lot of bank statements, card statements, etc. Seems to be of good build quality and has performed as described by manufacturer. It is a bit loud when operated, but over very satisfied with its performance. Before I used it for the first time I went to a local office supply store and purchased a pack of paper shredder lubricant sheets and followed the directions on the lubricant sheet package. Simply run a lubricant sheet in the shredders forward motion, then run another one in the shredders reverse motion. This will help lubricate all the gears and I feel will help in keeping paper from getting stuck or wrapped around the shredding mechanism. The lubricant sheets say to run one sheet per month to keep your shredder running in good order. I plan on following that recommendation. The shredder senses when there is paper you are wanting to shred and turns itself on. The shredder that this one replaced, I basically needed to fold sheets in half for double thickness and force it in to get the shredder to respond. So far this one works great a single sheet at a time. All in all for the price I paid for this micro cut, I am a happy customer. The shredder fits well next to my computer desk in limited space between my desk, a modem, a cabinet, and a subwoofer. I'll attach a couple photo's. Shred on!

Bonsai shredder
So far I have found this to be a very good product. It is super quiet, not like my other noisey one. I has a handle that makes it extremely easy to pull the top off so that the basket can be emptied. The basket is super huge so you have to empty it less; the only downfall is that I find that the basket is less sturdier than my last one, but I can live with that. The only thing that I found that I do not like is that the CD/Credit Card slot only cuts them in 4 huge pieces, so your name and credit card number still shows, but I place the credit cards through the slot for the paper and it works fine. I would recommend this shredder to anyone looking for a shredder that shreds important documents in tiny, unreadable, pieces, at an excellent price.

Excellent Paper Shredder and a Great Price
I was browsing around for a while to get a new paper shredder and like most people do, I was reading the reviews on all the models that interested me and this one seemed to give the best bang for the buck. It's hard these days to find anything on Amazon that doesn't have at least "some" negative reviews and it can give you a headache just trying to decide whether or not you should take a chance at buying something you like, so even if you read a few bad reviews on an item, don't let that deter you from buying it if there are substantially more good reviews than bad. You just have to remember that in this world, we can't make everyone happy and somehow there is always someone out there complaining about something. I trusted my instincts and so far I have no complaints with this Bonsaii shredder. The packaging was great. You will receive a box, inside of a box, inside of a box! I included photos, so you can see what everything looks like. The top and bottom of the shredder are also seated with a block of styrofoam for added protection. It also does an excellent job of micro-cutting the paper and I included a photo, so you can see the scale. One common complaint you see with ALL paper shredders is someone claiming the shredder can't shred the number of sheets it advertises, but I believe those people don't use common sense. Think about how many different grades of paper are used in everyday mail/junk mail and there is a huge difference in how many sheets you can shred at one-time, depending on how thick the paper is. If you are shredding credit card offers you get in the mail, those sheets are often laminated or much thicker than standard printer-paper, so YEAH people, you CAN'T expect the shredder to chew six of those pages at one time. Some of those people who complain are probably also emptying an entire drawer of old documents in one sitting and these standard shredders are not built for that, so don't complain when it overheats or jams up. If you use the shredder for normal everyday home/office use like me, you will be very happy with it. If you go to the mailbox and have junk mail that needs to be shredded, go right to the shredder and get rid of it immediately. Don't let it accumulate and clutter because that is where these complainers come from. They finally decide to get off their comfy sofa's (after an entire month) to clean up their old paperwork and when the shredder burns out from excessive use, they give it a bad review and say it's a piece of junk. Well I have news for those people. Your ignorance and misuse is what causes the shredders to fail, so don't blame Bonsaii and every other manufacturer out there like Fellowes, Royal, Swingline, etc.

Best shredder for maximum security
I was cleaning up the house and I found a huge pile of old papers and mail from years ago. I always tear up anything that contains personal information. After about an hour of ripping everything by hand, it only just occurred to me that I should really get a shredder. The name "micro-cut" speaks for itself. The clippings are so small, you would need a lifetime to put them back together. If you're looking to protect your personal info and want to be absolutely thorough, this is the way to go. Micro-cuts are more expensive than other types, yes, but the main purpose of buying a shredder in the first place is for destroying sensitive documents and making sure they cannot be recovered. Why not pay more for the best? The shredder does come with a bin, and the bin has a convenient little window so that you may gauge how full your bin is. Though, I personally keep a plastic bag on the inside for easy cleanup. Make sure your shredder is turned off before plugging it in. When you're ready to shred something, plug in the cord, then turn the switch to "Auto". Now just stick your papers in and it will automatically shred them to pieces. Note that this shredder has a max limit of 6 sheets of paper at a time. Be careful not to exceed that limit, so you don't risk jamming it. (If you're using ultra-thick paper, you might want to shred fewer sheets at a time). There is a Reverse function in case anything gets caught. It's recommended that you don't exceed this shredder's maximum continuous run time, which is 2 minutes, lest the shredder become overheated. This might cause your shredder to automatically shut off. Also note that this shredder automatically turns off and won't shred any further when the bin is full to the brim. So make sure to empty it. A common complaint about shredders is the sound volume. If this is your first time using a shredder, than yes, they're going to be pretty loud. I don't believe there is such a thing as a quiet shredder, though. I have yet to find one, anyway. Shredders are dangerous, and not to be played with. Before using it, make sure not to wear any loose or hanging clothing or accessories. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and again make sure it's turned off when not in use. It would also be a good idea to keep it unplugged until you're ready to use it.

This Bonsaii just went banzai on my paper piling toward the sky.
Love it. Much quieter than my last shredder, and much smaller pieces. I'm no longer worried that shredding paper will wake anyone up. The paper is chewed up in such a way that it is much harder to try to reassemble. I do mean chewed. No perfectly cut edges, everything is bent up and ragged. The handle on the shredder lid is well centered, so lifting it and returning it to position doesn't require any attention to making sure it is oriented properly, so I'm not worried I'll accidentally dump the bin. The window gives a great view of the depth of paper that has built up.

Bonsaii Shredder
Here are a few things I think you should know about this shredder. When you first open the package you may notice paper inside the unit. This in most cases will not mean it is used or refurbished, but that is in fact a test sheet of paper used to inspect the unit. You can shred 6 pieces of paper at a time, but to me it sounds like the machine is working extra hard and I prefer 3-4 sheets at a time if necessary. I had a lot of papers to shred, about a laundry basket full, so I put a timer on for 5 minutes and shred until the time was up, I could get a few more minutes, but then the unit would overheat and after that happened once, I felt 5 minutes was enough and I didn't want to break my new shredder. If it does overheat, you should unplug it and wait at least an hour. Since this is a smaller unit, most people I assume will be using this daily for a few pieces of mail and should have no problem with it. I have been using it for a week now and have enjoyed using it and finally getting all of those papers out of my house. Update: I have had this unit for a year now. If used as instructed above like I do you should have no problem. I still love this, still sharp.

Mess Free
Love these, so easy to use and mess free. Have an expensive bonsaii shredder I also love, and it's a small price to pay to keep it in excellent condition. I use a sheet every time I empty the shredder and never shred staples even though it says you can. Don't want to take any chances bending the blades. Keeping them properly oil and maintained is easier and cheaper than replacing shredders every year.

Excellent customer service
There is no such thing as being perfect 100% of the time. What matters is how a company stands behind their product. I had Bonsaii shredder which worked great for several months. It did paper, credit cards, etc. Then one day it stopped working. I could head the motor working, but shredding wasn't happening. I figured it was probably some gear inside that either broke or got misaligned and the motor was just spinning without actually turning the shredding teeth. So I emailed customer support late one day. Literally in under an hour, I got a reply back. I replied back with my order number and a video of the shredder not working. They replied in under 2 hours and said that a new shredder would be shipped out to me. And I could just throw the old one away. And 2 days later, the replacement shredder has arrived. This is customer service on par with Costco/Nordstrom. Keep up the good work Bonsaii!

High performance for a low price!
I *really* like this shredder. It's compact, quiet, and it's reasonably priced -- especially for a micro cut shredder. A couple of weeks ago I bought a generic basics micro cut shredder which I promptly returned within a day. Based on it's rave reviews, I really wanted to love it, but it was *awful* - perhaps it was an anomaly, perhaps it was inflated reviews. At any rate, paper consistently pulled to left causing it to fold over, bunch up in the corner, and jam the device...over and over again. So -- what's to love about this Bonsaii shredder? I was hesitant to purchase this shredder because I had never heard of the brand. But, it also had pretty good reviews. First, the paper pulls through true and straight. And yes, I can compare this to the performance of the shredder we returned. Second, it's pretty quiet. Even more quiet than our old cross cut shredder. Third, it's compact and fits nicely under our kitchen desk next to the recycle bin. Fourth, It looks nice and I especially like the handle that makes removal of the shredder head super easy. No struggles! Finally -- it's very reasonably priced for a cross cut shredder. As with all shredders, remember to properly maintain.
