This is a great product at a fair price. Other units offered allow either one or both sets of LEDs to light but this has a simple on/off switch that does the job. The replaceable LED units are on the warm-white end of the spectrum so skintones are rendered more accurately. I replaced all seven of the original fixtures and with all of them on at once they draw less power than one of the tungsten-based assemblies. The diffraction lenses slide away from the center switch area allowing them to be removed to allow installation. No screws are included; You must provide your own and, in my case, the screws from the old fixtures were too long for the new, more compact units. Not a big deal at all.

I just purchased eight of these lights for my 16 foot hard shell camping trailer, my intent was to replace light fixtures that utilized # 921 incandescent bulbs which gobble a lot of energy because they produce much more heat than light. The light fixtures were fairly similar in shape to the originals, allowing me to cover the majority of the screw holes of the originals, and the wiring required for installation was very straight forward. The light output of these LED units is very impressive, comparable to or appearing to exceed that of the # 921 incandescent units, I was very pleasantly surprised about that aspect. All of that is fine but here's the bottom line: I just took my trailer to the Adirondacks mountains in northern New York State for a two night trial run, it was very rainy, windy, and cold, we used the lights extensively because of the poor weather and they performed beyond my expectations. I couldn't believe the reduced power useage and proved that by testing my 12 volt deep cycle battery at the beginning and end of my two night outing. I cannot speak for the longevity of these lights because I just got them but they do perform impressively for illumination and power conservation, very impressively.

Installed easily as an exact replacement for the original light in my RV kitchen. The original incandescent bulb overheated and melted the socket and part of the housing. This unit replaced the damaged part. It produces more light with less heat. Some reviewers have noted and objected to patterns in the light from this LED lamp. Once installed, the light patterning was unnoticeable in my application.

Very pleased with the units. "Warm white" is pushing it a bit but the color is a pleasant bright white with no blue overtones. The light output seems a bit better than the twin 1003 bulb units I replaced. I'd put the output somewhere between a 1003 and an 1156. The lighting is a touch uneven but much better than other units I've seen. The lens is a diamond design to the sides spreading the light with a small clear patch at the bottom projecting a little more light towards the floors, table or whatever, a nice touch. Everything fit correctly and uses modern surface mount technology on the LED boards. I'm satisfied enough I'm going to replace all the old fixtures in my RV with these units. The small current draw versus incandescent alone is worth it for boondocking.

This is a good replacement for the original Lumitronics rv fixture that used the old style (hot) incandescent bulb. Not only do the led bulbs in this fixture operate much, much cooler, they also consume much less power which results in not loading the power converter in your rv as much. Also, the led bulbs included in this fixture are significantly brighter than the old style bulb! You will be pleased in using this fixture in replacing your old style rv fixtures. Cost of this fixture that comes with led bulbs, is not much more that trying to buy the led bulbs alone. Great product and value!

I bought 2 of these as a replacement for the Lumitronics Double RV Ceiling Dome Light fixtures in the bathroom. The light it puts off is your typical white LED light and very bright which is perfect for the bathroom. I won't be replacing the fixtures in the rest of the camper with these because the light isn't cozy enough. Installation was easy for me since they were direct replacements. I only had to unplug the black, cut and strip the white, wire nut the new white to the white from the ceiling and plugged the black one back in. That's it...same screw holes and all.

With incandescent bulbs in my trailer, I can hear the fan in the main circuit box kicking on when I turn 3 lights on. I switched to these LEDs, and now I can turn all 7 lights on without the fan kicking on. So, less draw. They also produce zero heat to the touch, which is a nice change from the old hot bulbs. Much, much brighter..

We live in a Residential/Recreational Community... I bought this brand of lights at least 5 years ago... ended up replacing all our older lights , over the years, in all the other campers & RV that we have... Never had one light go out... not even a single illumination diode has gone out... If everything in this world was made to last like these... we'd be much better off...

Exact replacement for one in my Passport fifth wheel trailer. All 6 screw holes matched up exactly. Easy to upgrade to LED bulbs or you can buy one already setup with LED's. The standard bulbs have a tendency to overheat if left on too long. Probably not a serious fire hazard but can reduce the life of the rocker switch or bulb mounts - so LED upgrade may be wise.

I ordered this 12 volt LED dome light to mount in the back of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. I like the built in ON/OFF switch, as I wired 2 lights directly to the Battery (using an in-line fuse of course), so that I could have lights bright enough to see what I was doing in the back of the Jeep, but not need to have the key in the ignition. I mounted 1 light on the roll bar next to the tailgate, and one light on the overhead roll bar between the seats. The amount of light put out by these LEDs is unbelievable for the small amount of draw on the battery.
