I just ordered my third bag of this shredded coconut, and have been very pleased with this brand. I used to buy Bob's Red Mill, but I like the larger bag of this, as well as the zip-top packaging. Once opened, you don't need to store this in the fridge, but I do for more freshness. I've use this to make everything from granola to macaroons to cookies, and everything has turned out great. The coconut is very fresh!

Awesome product for the price. This stuff can be pricey in those smaller clear plastic bags in the supermarket, but buying bulk is a better deal. This stuff is great because it's not sweetened with added sugar, just pure coconut. It's great for making coconut macaroons and caveman crunch.Definitely a great deal from Anthony's, like all of their other products. Oh yeah, and the funny phrases they put on the front of the bags are pretty good. They fit in the 'dad joke' realm of humor.

This is the best shredded coconut I've ever had! Although it is unsweetened, the taste is terrific. Unlike other unsweetened shredded coconut, it is finely shredded. I think this is one of the reasons the flavor comes through so well. It stays moist, too. I know this sounds weird, but, I put this in a bowl and eat it with a spoon when I need a snack. The longer you chew it, the sweeter it gets. It is gluten-free, low-carb, and provides fiber. It would be fabulous on cereal, in oatmeal, and, of course, in baking. Just ordered it again and can't wait to get it. It helps me stick to my low-carb diet.

I used this to make homemade coconut milk- turned out very fragrant and mildly sweet, doesn't need any sweetener at all. Compared to the canned coconut milk I've been using this milk is thinner (canned coconut milk generally uses thickeners) and doesn't smell like chemicals at all, just coconut. I'm drying the leftover pulp for coconut flour now. The quantity is good and the packaging is very nice and easy to reseal and put back in the fridge or freezer. This is the only shredded coconut I've tried but I'd definitely order this again- very satisfied!

These shredded coconut flakes are fantastic. I was happy that I could find a coconut product that was firstly unsweetened and did not contain any additional preservative ingredients. I think they taste great right out of the bag. Additionally, I like to toast them for 12 minutes at 350 deg F with a 1:1 ratio of macadamia nuts and then blend it into a nut-butter. Lastly, they are at quite a competitive price.

My sweet, loving granddaughter, Arielle, requested that my lovely wife of almost 48 years of marital bliss, Linda, make ANZAC biscuits for her birthday. As a former history teacher, I feel compelled to share the origins of these delicious cookies. Anzac biscuits have long been associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) established in World War I. The biscuits were sent by wives and women's groups to soldiers abroad because the ingredients do not spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during naval transportation. Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served. Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally to honor ANZAC soldiers who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. At the risk of providing too much information. I purchased the beer mug on the left in 1965 when I was a knob at The Citadel. I "liberated" the beer stein on the right in 1971 while a lieutenant in Germany. I am certain that the statue of limitations has long since expired. Both are now serving a much more useful purpose as the repository of kitchen utensils. Linda's recipe: 1 cup oatmeal ¼ cup boiling water ¾ cup desiccated coconut (unsweetened)* 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda 1 cup flour 4 oz. butter 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. golden syrup Combine butter and golden syrup, stir over low heat until melted. Mix oatmeal, coconut, flour, and sugar together. Mix soda with boiling water, add to melted butter mixture, and stir into dry ingredients. Spoon on to greased cookie sheet, allowing room for spreading. Bake at 300 degrees for about 18-20 minutes. *I ordered this through Amazon

OMG where do I start??? Fresh! this product is fresh, tasty, yummy! I am not an expert on all things except for what I have a passion for and I LOVE shredded coconut! I have bought from Costco, Traders and Staters and by far this is the best product. I literally ate 3 spoonfuls. I thought that 2 pounds might be too much for one person, but I am going to make good use of it before it goes bad. I bought on 2/2018 and the expiration is 8/2018. So I am guessing it is a fresh product with not much else in it but coconut. Coconut is so good for you the health benefits are amazing. I am usually on some kind of health kick and coconut is usually in my daily smoothie, oatmeal or granola snack. Will buy more from this seller.

I used this to make home made coconut milk and it turned out amazing! The milk had a thick consistency. I like this brand the most so far compared to others I've tried. The others I've tried the milk just didn't turn out, it was was more 'watery' and didnt have a nice layer of fat. This product is a nice affordable bulk option if you love coconut and making homemade coconut stuff. I'm going to try making a coconut butter with my next purchase. I highly recommend for coconut lovers out there!

This product tastes so fresh as a dried product. There's no rancid, musty or soggy taste to it. As an island girl, I know my coconut and have a hard time with a lot of coconut products because I know when other companies have added additives or preservatives that alter the coconut. This product does not have that issue...it tastes like it was just grated and dried a few hours ago! I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone that loves coconuts!

Anthony's organic shredded coconut is tasty. The fact that it is non-GMO and is prepared in a gluten free environment are important to me since I have celiac disease and have found the KETO lifestyle to work for me. Mixed a little cocoa and erythritol in warm water added a couple of spoons of coconut and a few chopped pecans and had an instant and tasty treat. Perfectly healthy. Lots of KETO treats call for coconut for the added fat and Anthony's is a perfect choice.
