Life saver! After wanting to give up on breast feeding because of sore nipples that blistered and cracked from cluster feeding my little one, I decided to give these a try. I had tried the gel pads and other shields on the market but they didn't help more than 30 mins at the most. These soft shells are perfect! I can feel the relief immediately. It keeps the friction from the affected area and allows easy air flow. I've worn these for a little more than half a day and my nipples feel more comfortable when feeding my little one and he's been latching a lot more easily. The shape keeps it discreet under the shirt too. I wish I had tried these earlier!

These were such a lifesaver! After 6 weeks of breastfeeding on a severely cracked nipple, I was continually told to "keep nursing" & "you're just getting used to breastfeeding". BOY were they wrong. It was not a crack that was going to heal with time. So that's where these shields came in! After 6-7 weeks of cringing and crying through nursing, these provided SO much relief. Between religiously applying prescription nipple cream, giving them time to breathe in these shields and solely pumping from the cracked side, I healed up over the course of a week. If you experience a severe crack and need to heal - THESE ARE AMAZING!

These are much better than any cream or other pads. They make it so nothing touches your nipples, allowing them to heal. Also helps with getting flat/inverted nipples to push out a little more.

Let me start out by saying that I had these for both of my little nursing monsters, and these things have really helped out when you're nipples are so sore, you can barely stand to have anything touch them. They are noticeable in thinner nursing bras, but you are adding a dome to your breast, so what can you expect?? Both my kiddos have had lip ties, and these helped to reshape my nipple when it was really pinched (ouchie). I definitely recommend these for anyone who's having soreness, and looking to get by in the interim.

I've had these for 3 hours and I can already tell you, I wish I had bought them a month ago! In a soft bra they are naturally shaped but still noticeable. A more "regular" cup bra would hide them. Otherwise a scarf (or winter clothes) would make these fine for out of the house. In the meantime, as a mom of a 6-week old, I'm still at home with my breasts glued to my newborn and being someone who has large breasts (and despises going bra-less) these make sore nipples SO much more comfortable.

These are the only things that helped me heal when I had cracked/bleeding nipples. I even had to sleep in them for a few nights (which is not advised) to get relief. The only downside is the numerous holes in the top. While it allows for good air flow, if you forget to empty them and bend over, a fountain of milk comes pouring out! I also wish that more replacement sponges were included (comes with 4 total). I'm on my second pair of sponges and they are starting to smell really bad, despite being washed daily. I'm also down to just wearing one shell on the breast that is not being nursed on to catch the letdown. Bottom line is that if you are suffering from sore, and especially cracked or bleeding nipples, you need these!

I had horrible bleeding and cracking with my son (first baby). Breastfeeding was so painful. I used Lanolin, the hydrogel pads, I tried nipple shields, but just toughed it out for the first few weeks. It was awful. I found these on Amazon before the birth of my daughter and I have used these with EVERY feeding starting in the hospital. True, I only use them during the day, because they can leak if you lay flat. But I religiously use these and wash them every night. My daughter is 5 weeks old and I have had ZERO bleeding or cracking and the pain has been much better. The fact that nothing can cause friction against you, breastmilk can just dry on you, and you get oxygen through the holes all help you to heal in between feedings. I have told all of my pregnant friends about these. I so wish I knew about these with my first baby. Aside from a good latch, this is the one thing that I have tried that will help! P.S. This is the 2nd Amazon review I have ever written and I use Amazon all the time, I just feel so strongly about these.

So glad I bought these. I’m a first time mom and was so worried about having nipple pain when starting to breastfeed so I bought a lot of nipple care products in case. Luckily the little guy was a natural at breastfeeding, I never had any nipple pain. However, I noticed that a segment of my right breast would not drain during feeds, I had to manually express because it was getting so engorged. I figured out that my long nipple would fold when wearing my nursing bra (it’s even a loose fitting bra) and kink off the milk duct and make it hard to drain. I always noticed my nipple would fold up even before I was pregnant and when wearing normal bras. To help keep my nipple from folding, I use these soft shells in my bra and it did the trick. No more engorgement behind the duct that used to kink. It took a few days of use to get to that point. It’s also nice because I have a fair amount of milk letdown when my boy initially wakes for a feed. The soft shells catch the milk well as long as I don’t tip it in a way that the milk will leak through the air vent holes. I don’t use the little foam piece that it comes with to soak up the milk. I have gathered up to 15 ml of breast milk this way! I just wash the shells well after each use so they are clean when they catch the milk. During the feed on the opposite breast that my baby is feeding on, I use the Milkies milk saver instead. It can catch more than these shells and there is less worry of spilling. I also use them instead of the nursing pads. I bought some washable nursing pads that were too itchy for me. These are very confortable, keep the nipple dry (the nursing pad soaks up milk and keeps it against the nipple), and of course catches some milk. Wouldn’t want to waste that milk into a nursing pad I can’t retrieve it from! I highly recommend this product. If you are trying to do some research, there is also the Medela Therashells that are similar to these, but are for flat/inverted nipples. Make sure you get the one that is most suited to your needs!

These SoftShells are an absolute miracle. I'm currently 6 weeks postpartum and exclusively pumping, and my nipples were so sore I was about outside my mind. Pumping bordered on excruciating at times, and heaven forbid I bumped into anything! These breast shells make all the difference. I began using them as soon as they came in the mail and got relief instantly. Now I wear them all day and leave them off to sleep. No soreness whatsoever! I would recommend these 100 times over to anyone suffering from sore nipples. Just be sure to use common sense and wash then daily so they don't smell all sweaty. (Note: I did NOT buy these for milk collection; that is not their purpose. They catch a little leakage when they need to without wetting my shirt, but they are not intended for milk collection... duh, they have ventilation holes! I mean, unless you want to use them as little watering cans.)

I'm battling thrush which if you've ever had it know that your nips feel like they're on fire. It's incredibly painful and these have helped a lot to keep them from rubbing up against my shirt or even my cloth pads. The air holes let them air dry so I'm not having to walk around the house with my stuff hanging out after I wash/do treatments on them. I wish I'd had these for my first child.
