Good batteries, great company

I'm bummed I bought these. After reading all the great reviews, I was really looking forward to getting these batteries, and charger, for such a great price. Unfortunately, the batteries don't even hold a charge for 1 day. I also tried using them in my camera and I was only able to take ~5 pictures before they died. I've tried charging them a couple times now, thinking it was a fluke, but no dice. Pass on these ones folks. \\ edit - Jan 12, 2018 I want to update my previous review. After I posted the above EBL actually reached out to me and sent me a new set of batteries. I must have just gotten some duds the first time. These new ones work much better! If you have any problems, definitely contact EBL.

A must have for any house hold that uses battery powered items

I have a 5 yr old son and am soooo tired of buying batteries for all his battery sucking toys! Not to mention, remotes around the house, smoke detectors, the list goes on and on. I finally buckled down and purchased this battery charger. I got it with all AAA batteries and bought a large pack of AA batteries separately so I have lots of both. The minute I received it I plugged it in and loaded it up for the first charge. I came back less than an hour later and all 8 batteries were done. I took those ones out and reloaded, came back 30 min later, again, done. Now, these were new batteries so they may not have taken as long as a totally dead one would, so I decided to try some rechargable batteries from a remote control car my son had that had its own little 4 battery charger. Took those 4 super dead batteries, put them in the new charger and walked away. When I came back a short time later, the red charging light had turned green, indicating they were done. Put them back in the car and they worked. So yeah, I am happy. I am thrilled I do not have to buy normal AAA or AA batteries anymore!

My issue was resolved to our complete satisfaction. Thank you

UPDATE: 01.28.2017 The charger is working wonderfully, no leakage and charging the batteries perfectly. My husband always has freshly charged batteries for his headphones. He is a happy camper as well as myself! Increased the rating to five stars. The customer service is outstanding, I would highly recommend this product. UPDATE: After posting this comment the company contacted me offering to send a replacement. We just received it Saturday, 11.26.2016. Immediately we replaced the other one. So far so good, no leakage. We are very impressed with the excellent customer service and therefore increased the rating. I feel certain it will be resolved to our satisfaction but will continue to update this as time goes forward. After 5 days of having this thing plugged in the batteries started leaking all over the battery charger. My husband cleaned it and it continues to leak leaving quite a mess. Highly do not recommend this product at all. It's a mess to have to clean up continually. Once he cleans it, it works fine and he uses the batteries over & over. Not sure if the price is worth it.

Works great, but gets hot so don’t cover it up ...

UPDATE: After posting my original review, EBL contacted me with concerns of it being defective. They immediately sent me a new unit with 8 more AA batteries, everything free of charge. After several weeks of use, I know now the other unit was defective. New unit does not get hot and is completely silent. I feel this company stands behind their product and their care of customers is obviously top priority. Changing the rating from 3 to 5 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Works great, but gets hot so don’t cover it up when using. Also, it makes this really high pitched buzzing noise that is uncomfortable to listen to. Not sure that’s safe, so I wouldn’t use it unless in the room.

A full charge may take a few hours (7? 8?...I fell asleep), but the battery charge lasts a long time. The charger is completely quiet (I've had some that sound like an air conditioning unit while charging), has color indicators to let you know when the batteries are done charging, and it's a "smart" charger. It shuts off on its own, so that batteries are not overcharged. Neither the batteries nor the charger ever got hot during the entire process. I love it for my camera during my trips because I can charge all 8 batteries overnight after sightseeing all day, then in the morning, I have 2 sets (my camera uses 4 at a time), so I never run out of battery. Truth is, the first set usually lasts all day anyway.

Battery Doesn't Hold Charge Very Long

Update: Customer service contacted me and identified that the batteries was defective. They immediately sent me the replacement. The new batteries work as described. Great customer service. Will buy again! Highly recommended. I bought these batteries to play VR games and the battery doesn't hold a fully charged very long. I usually fully charged the batteries and took them out of the charger and left on the table(for fire hazard safety reason). They will depleted about 30% a day. After 3 days on the table, I put the batteries in my VR controller and the battery level is already to low to operate the controller. Thinking of try Amazon brand.

Keeps the Lights On

We have two under counter LED light strips that use 4 AAA batteries each and they last about a week, coming on and off with motion sensing if there is not enough light. These EBL rechargeable batteries are a nice relief to the constant purchase of batteries and they recharge fast enough to keep the lights active when needed. The charger has lamps that turn green with each pair of batteries, and I always charge all 8 batteries at one time. The plus is a standard AC outlet type which I enjoy instead of the transformer. We are hoping for a long life and that the batteries do not begin to get weak, requiring more frequent charging, but the price is right for another pack of eight.

Updated review - positive results!

Update: 11/7/17 This company reached out to me after my negative review and sent me a new charger and more batteries free of charge. They have been quite responsive. The new charger seems to work great so far. The AAA batteries charged in about 2 hours, the AA charged overnight and I am not sure how long they took. The newly charged batteries are working great so far and I am very happy with them. Thank you very much! These are not very good in my opinion. They take around 2 days to charge and don't last very long no matter where I use them. Looking for another brand. And yes, I bought the charger of the same brand. It is good that it holds both AA and AAA, but charging time is excessive and battery life is too short.

Very convenient

I've got so many battery chargers it is ridiculous. It's odd that it is often cheaper to buy a charger WITH batteries than just the batteries themselves. This one is a fairly "slow" charging unit but I'm not concerned about that. I bought enough batteries to make it a non-issue. The batteries seem to last fairly long in everything EXCEPT my XBOX controller. Those seem to burn down quickly even if I'm not playing much. But the batteries recharge so right now I'm just waiting to see how many times I can actually recharge them. I am on my 3rd cycle with about half of them.

Update: I short-changed this seller by not thinking to contact them about the problems below; they reached out to me and have been stellar about helping replace what was apparently a defective unit and batteries. The new unit charges the batteries fully and quickly, and the batteries hold a charge very well. If this had been what arrived initially, I would have given them a five-star review from the outset. My thanks to the seller for making things right, without hassles on my side. *** Not pleased; kiddo bought these when she was grounded from her phone but allowed to carry dad's old discman. Batteries never charged well - tried another charger I have, as well - and couldn't be powered up enough to run the Discman, even for a few minutes. 😕 Paid for expedited shipping and these arrived in 24 hours. That was the best thing about the whole purchase.
