Super product. Works wonderfully if you read the directions and set it to the proper mode. Quality product. Very versatile. Glad I bought it. Shows not only incomplete connections but where each wire starts and ends. Plus, accurately measures length. A better tool than I am a craftsman.

Invaluble tool for Etherrnet

This was worth every penny. A cheaper brand would have sufficed for TV cable testing. But for Ethernet, this it really worth the extra money. Especially for for tracing out multiple drops at the same time. Having multiple plugs saves a lot of time walking around.

Easy to use

I inherited a house with Cat5 but no guide to what was where. I was able to sort out all the connections in about 30 minutes. I didn't read the instructions... just opened it up and started fiddling. Easy to use.

Good enough for any task

I bought this for testing connectors on CAT6 cables. I have used other handheld testers that cost hundreds more. This Klein tester is comparable and easy to use. The identifier part is a major plus. While it does seem to be made inferior, it has been holding up to the demands of the job without fail

I shopped for a week, reading reviews on cable testers. I ultimately selected the Klein Scout Pro 2 LT for the line measuring feature. My use is mostly for home repairs and troubleshooting of network and phone cables. Coincidentally, mom called me a week later to complain about her phone. I had the problem pinpointed within 15 seconds and replaced the phone plugs in her phone line. Over time, the tugging and dragging on the cord caused one of the leads to fracture within the plug. Separately, I had been chasing phantoms in my giga-speed internet feed into the house where I would regularly see 100mbps speeds. Using the Klein tool, I was able to isolate which cat-6 cable within the house was the culprit. I don't really need so many network ID modules or same for coax cables. It would have been great if Klein offered a better selection of a la carte packages. But overall, I LOVE THIS TOOL.

Another essential tool in the bag! Well worth the price. It'll save hours of frustration chasing a bad termination. The case is very durable, it should keep it nice for years. Cable length is not exact, but close enough to keep records with. I'm not sure if it will measure the distance of a break in the wire, but really, if there is a problem, I'm making a new full run, I'm not going to splice in the middle so that length isn't an important decision for me.

It Helped Save my Install

I installed a POE Security Camera system at my house. Being the first time to ever do so, add connectors on Cat6 cable ends and locating which cable at the Router went to which camera, this tool was a life saver. Worth ever penny I paid.

Great Tool, lots of useful features

I use one something like this at work, but much more expensive. I was looking for something to not only verify the wiring but to give me distance as well. This one does the trick without breaking the bank. The number of ID units included is great as well. As always Klein tools are the best.
