Broke with little use... But promptly replaced.

Worked well for about one year of very light/infrequent use, then broke into pieces. EDIT: Changing review to 5-star. After I made my initial review I was promptly contacted by and AUKEY representative to learn more about what happened. I hadn't taken any photos, so I couldn't give them a great deal of additional information. They still let me know about about, and honored, the 24-month warranty. I didn't know that warranty existed and appreciated them working to make this right. I don't expect perfection from a USB charge at this price point and feel the customer service was very good.

Excellent design and build quality

I have not had this for very long, but I will share my thoughts on it's design and function. The material and build quality are high. The contacts on the sides of the barrel are stiff and solid, and the charger fits into the power socket snugly and makes an excellent connection. It fits flush to the front of the socket, so well that the cover will close over it (note that this does not work in all cars, but in my 2006 camry it's great. The power output is good, and it charges my phone rapidly. I have not yet plugged into both ports at once, but both work equally well. All in all I am extremely happy with this purchase and I have already recommended it to others.

Great product, Great Price, Great Customer Service

Big fan of Aukey, had several of their products and I've always been satisfied with them. I've had this for several months now and it's still going strong. I bought it for work, I'm a dump truck driver for a construction company, and so I needed something that could charge my phone while using GPS and music all day. Sometimes, it also needed to be able to charge a passengers phone as well as mine at the same time. This was no issue, the 2.4 output works with both plugs, even at the same time so you can fast charge two phones at once with no issue. Aukey also has great customer service, I bought one of their large power banks and after about 6 months it broke and a day later they had sent a replacement my way with no complaining or blaming. I recommend based solely on their customer service experience, the fact that their products are great for such a low price is just the cherry on top. If you're in the market, buy this charger!

Small, metal, charges phone quickly without heating the battery

This is one of the newer ones with advanced charging circuitry. Charges my iPhone very fast and does not heat the battery. This is critical for extending battery life since hot batteries die early. The only thing you should consider with this one is that it's very small and doesn't give you a lot to grab when you want to remove it. However, since I want to keep it in my car that's a benefit and not a problem for me. Highly recommended. Metal, not plastic construction.

Works for 2013 Mazdaspeed3

Works in both power sockets of 2013 Mazdaspeed3. Be aware that the product description claims that it is not compatible with Mazda, and other reviews are mixed on whether this charger works for Mazda. I suspect that socket/charger variations in components and tolerances will determine whether this charger works for a particular Mazda. Some reviews indicate that this charger may have been produced with two different lengths of the center contact. This charger is tiny and the Mazda socket is apparently deeper than most other makes. Underneath the head is a small gap and then a narrow ring. It appears that the narrow ring is the intended stop point for flush installation. Removing the narrow ring would allow for deeper installation, but make it even more difficult to remove. I did not need to remove the ring. PRO: Small size enables flush installation. Looks almost OEM and may allow closing of the socket cover (may require small trimming of edge of charger on side next to cover hinge). No blinding LEDs. CON: Difficult of remove if it is not intended to be left installed in the socket. LED soft glow in the ports would be nice to indicate power and make the ports more visible at night. The reason I chose this charger is to be able to close the socket cover while the charger is installed. I previously tried a SCOSCHE ReVolt USBC242M because of the questionable compatibility of the AUKEY. The SCOSCHE is a nice charger and slightly larger than the AUKEY. The SCOSCHE does allow the socket cover to close far enough to enable the door of the console pocket to close, but it protrudes too far to completely close the socket cover. The AUKEY with minor modification allows the socket cover to completely close and provides more of a built-in OEM look. To get the socket cover to completely close required that a portion of the edge of the the AUKEY face be removed to provide clearance for the hinged side of the socket cover in the closed position. I just used a metal file to file a flat spot on the outer ring of the face. Another reviewer accomplished a similar modification using a utility knife and includes photos in the review. The SCOSCHE does have a nice blue LED glow to the ports that is not too bright and nicely matches the Mazda blue ambient LED lighting. At least for this Mazda application, a soft blue LED glow in the ports would be nice to indicate power and make the ports more visible at night.

Great, fast charger - so much better than my free ones

These are great if you plan to insert them and leave them in place. If you need to remove it, it can be a little harder to remove than some models because this one sits so flush into the socket. But it's not ridiculously hard to remove. I just plug them into all my cars and leave them there. You might think that free cigarette lighter USB charger you got at the tradeshow is fine, or the one you got at the gas station is OK. But these are so much better. This little gizmo is cranking out 2.4 amps per USB socket, so it will charge 2 phones in a fraction of the time some other models do. My son use to use a 6 foot USB cord with one of my free chargers, and his phone would barely charge if he was also using it. These solve that problem handily. Note that in two of my 3 vehicles, I cannot close the little lid over these when they are not in use, but that is minor to me.

Perfect fit for small center arm console

Need to replace a different brand charger that had failed. I needed a flush mount charger that would fit in the tight space of the center arm console in my 2013 Nissan Rogue and the AUKEY works like a charm. My wife and daughter have their iPhone lightning cables plugged into it and no issues whatsoever. I leave the charger in-place even when nothing is being charged and have had no problems.

Excellent little charger

Excellent little charger. And little is the key here. In my car there is very little clearance between the cigarette lighter port and my gear shift. When I had my original, much longer, charger plugged in plus the length consumed by the USB cable themselves, the cords got in my way when shifting gears. Very annoying. This little flush fit charger solved all that, however. Very nice. Oh, it also happens to charge my devices just as you would expect.

Super Impressed

I've had the Aukey Car Charger installed for about 24 hours but I'm so impressed with it that I couldn't wait to write this review. So far it is working as I expected. I'm using it in a 2016 Toyota Corolla S Plus and it is so low profile that it looks like it belongs in the car. I bought this (and a 10ft UGREEN Mini USB cable) to replace the 10ft mini USB car charger that came with the Vantrue N2 Pro as I accidentally shorted it out. The Aukey is a perfect replacement because of its dual USB ports.
