The tool can withstand high torque/twist without failure
This tool is necessary to access 4 rear wheel bearing torx head bolts. The tool length combined with a shaft slender enough to clear the abs tone ring gets it done. To allow additional clearance for manipulation of the tool, I removed the press-fit socket. The portion of the tool shaft which became exposed as a result of said socket removal is hexagonal and will accept common mechanical tools. If the repair is done with the vehicle, in this case a Ford Edge, 2009, elevated on a car lift, there is sufficient room with the socket in place. I did the repair on a garage floor, on a jack stand, which limited room for a #250....I.e. long.....torque wrench to “swing”. Removing the socket helped clear the coil springs. The torx head bolts had been in place since 2008/2009....10 years.....and I thought the slender shaft or torx “teeth” might twist or break when loosening the bolts.....there’s not a lot of contact area at male tool/female torx bolt interface and I thought the tool teeth might break. Nope. The bolts when new are torqued to 85 ft. lbs. Add 10 years of corrosion.....it took far more than 85ft.lbs. of force to break the bolts loose. The tool held up fine. I didn’t use an impact gun. I thought that might break the tool. I used muscle. Probably could have used an impact gun. The tool is of high quality.....good metallurgy. I recommend it. A well made tool
This is one of those tolls that you have to spend a lot on and will most likely never use again. But I do like the build quality of the tool and it did a great job at removing and torquing the flywheel bolts. If you want to do the job you have to have the tools. But I always hate it when you have to purchase special tools like this one. I mean why couldn't they have just used a regular head or had it so you could get the bolt out with a shorter torque socket and an extension? That would have been nice. I gave this 5 stars because I think the build quality is excellent.

Worked perfectly! Curse the engineer who required this!
Exactly the tool needed to get the oem flywheel off that some engineer sitting at a desk created while laughing. Regardless, the tool was perfect, made a what seems like high quality and can certainly be used over and over. I don't plan on doing this job again however!

Worked perfectly
Used it to remove the flywheel from my E39 540i. Worked perfectly with no problem at all. A much cheaper alternative to the original BMW, about half the price
