I bought this In April 2017. I’m now replacing it (December 2018) because it is a bit frayed at the edges. But I’m buying the same case again because I love it. It is lightweight, slim, but protective. It’s been perfect for me. I use my iPad many times, every day, and on my frequent personal and business travel. It gets a lot of use! My previous case was heavy and bulky, so I did not want another one like that. I much prefer this case. I’ve dropped the iPad many times, but this case has protected it. I can’t expect the case to last too long with my kind of daily, hard use. It has lasted just as long as my first, heavy, thick, leather case which was 3 times the cost of this one! Now if kids are using your iPad, I suggest a heavy duty case, not this one. But for adults, particularly those that need a slim, lightweight profile, choose this one.

Honestly, I was a little hesitant to buy this case since it was so low in price. But it actually turned out to be a really nice case. The plastic feels leathery and the magnet works perfectly. People who saw the case yesterday thought I had paid 40 dollars for it. Highly recommend it! P.S. This case also has the same issue as all the new cases for the new iPad Air 2: the front flap extends out about 1/2 inch when it is flipped behind the iPad. But that issue is not explicit to this case by any means. The new apple leather case has the same issue as well. I believe it's because of the thinness of the ipad. Hope this helps!

I’m comparing this to the only other case I’ve purchased for the iPad Air 2 (Case Crown Omni), but I’ve purchased 4 of them over the past 5 years; the Case Crown Omni which I've been very happy with. (They look very similar, which is what caught my eye at first.) I didn’t mind that I had to purchase a new Case Crown every year or so (because of breakage). Small price to pay for one of such quality. It did a good job protecting iPad from monthly drops of 2-3 feet. But the corners inevitably broke each year. I looked at it as a $20-$30/ year protection of $600 iPad (the price went down each year). The Case Crown Omni was the only one I wanted since it was very thin, very light, and inexpensive into the bargain. I purchased this one because it was even cheaper, though I expect it to be slightly more durable. There are areas where each compares favorably. The Case Crown Omni was slightly thinner and lighter but more expensive. As stated, this one appears to be more durable, but we’ll see. That means I paid less for something (the Fintie) which ‘seems’ more durable, which makes me feel frugal. The Case Crown has gone down in price, so if I purchase this again, it will have to be more durable (last longer than a year). Both are good. I am happy with both purchases. So far. Other than the Case Crown being thinner and lighter, it has four fold panels rather than the three this one has. That means this one has a wider, sturdier base, but the Case Crown was slightly easier to hold as I tucked my index finger into the hollow of the folds. But this one compares favorably in price and sturdiness or durability (I think) and the Case Crown for it’s thinner lighter size. I’ll update this review next year, or if it tears or snaps too early.

I had originally bought this case for an iPad air 2 clone that I bought from china. It fit great but I gave it to my gf because she had bought an actual iPad air 2. The case has been around for years. My gf is ultra clumsy. She drops her iPad all the time. She broke the corner of the case near the camera. If she didn't have this case she wouldn't have an iPad anymore. I just recently got a reburbished iPad air 2 because it was cheap and I liked hers. I again bought this case for mine seeing as hers has taken such a beating for years and is still going. I rarely ever drop a device. Normally if I do it's before bed when I'm exhausted. I'm sure the iPad will be fine though. Great case. No reason to spend all that money on an apple logo. Which is why I only paid $200. on my iPad air. Same price I paid for the clone. 😊

I had originally ordered an Apple smart case for my iPad Air 2. Well, I thought I did, but I mistakingly ordered a regular smart iPad Air case (instead of one for the 2). I purchased from Wal-Mart, but it turns out they do not even have the Apple smart case for iPad Air 2s yet- something about a wait period before Apple will let distributors sell as far as accessories go. So, I decided to look elsewhere. I was hesitant to buy this one but read awesome reviews and decided to give it a try. Now, this case isn't as light as the apple one, but it IS awesome. Mine fits perfectly. It is not super light, but it's not heavy or anything, it just adds some extra weight, nothing to worry about. The magnetic smart feature works just fine. The inside is soft so as to be easy on the iPad itself. I am SO impressed with the quality of this case! I originally purchased it to use until I was ready to fork out the money for a more expensive case, but I honestly don't think I'll be replacing this one. If you're looking to purchase this, DO. You won't regret it, and you just might be pleasantly surprised.

It's just like the photo, pretty and lightweight. The front cover lays smoothly over the whole front. I am an adult, not very rough on covers, so I expect it to last a year or two, including several plane trips. With kids or rough people, 6 months is normal. Look at all that wear and tear, and imagine the poor iPad getting it! Mine is still pristine due to covers like this. Ignore people who say it starts to show damage after a year. Pffft. I bet their gloves last only a season, their diaper bags are filthy in 6 months, and they have to buy a new set of dishes every 5 years due to breakage. Some people are just like that, can't save them from themselves. It's a wonderful case for $13, it will last until I think it's too shabby. Heat-sealed edges, which are what these are (I'm an engineer) will separate with ROUGH usage. This type of plastic goes brittle (less soft) in time, but it won't be noticeable for 3-5 years. If you want hand-sewn edges with fishing line, you'll have a different price point. The point of spending $13 and not $40 for a case is that you may break or retire this one in a year, so why overspend. If you're a dropper and manhandler (notice your winter coats last 2 years, a set of 6 glasses is down to 4 after 50 uses) buy one of the otter cases.

Another cheap case I got for my iPad Air 2 broke, so rather than order it again, I figured I'd try this one. It's quite inexpensive--certainly much less than an Apple case despite appearing very similar. This case fits the iPad well and the hard plastic shell seems a a bit thicker than it was on my old one, and the rest (the whole front cover and most of the back) is made from a soft leather-lookalike plastic (with the typical soft covering on the inside of the screen-side flap). I'm optimistic that this will hold up better than my old case while not costing too much more. Unlike some other cheap cases, this one has a grill for the speakers on the bottom rather than just leaving that part of the case open, so I think it should make the case a bit stronger and provide more protection for the device if dropped or when in storage/transit.

I bought my iPad Air 2 off eBay and it came with a Fintie case. Despite having bought a bunch of other cases I always came back to the Fintie case. It's thin, protects well enough for home usage, and has the magnetic wake/sleep functionality. After 3 years of daily use the case started showing signs of wear. It was still perfectly functional just frayed around the edges. I searched for Fintie cases on Amazon. I would've bought a new case sooner had I known there are all these designs. I chose the black and white composition book style which looks like a real composition book. It's so realistic it's tempting to write my name and a subject on the front like school back in the day. Will definitely buy another Fintie case when I upgrade my iPad.

Cover is very good. Light and slim, and material seems like will be very durable and stand up to everyday use for at least a couple of years or more. The magnetic cover is a semi-soft vinyl leather pattern on the outside and the inside a soft synthetic suede like material that will keep the screen protected. The bottom hard plastic snaps onto the iPad and all ports and cutouts match perfectly to account for the Air 2 new microphones and deleted mute button. Also, the cover snaps on and off very easily and with a satisfying click. More importantly, the company is outstanding and stands behind their products. I ordered two of these for iPad Air 2s. One of the two was defective (magnet too weak, would not wake and sleep screen). I started the return process and Fintie contacted me and informed me that they would test a replacement to ensure I got a working cover next time around. Sure enough, just got the new cover in the mail and it worked as advertised. They also maintained email contact the whole time updating me on the status on my replacement. In this day and age it is very refreshing to see great customer service like this. Will definitely buy other products from them again!

I keep an iPad in my classroom. As a high school teacher at one of the "rougher" schools in the district, things are stolen occasionally. I wanted to be able to have my iPad where I could use it, but I didn't want to draw attention to it. This was perfect! Students have no idea that it's not a notebook until I start to use it. Another teacher saw it on my desk and asked if I had another one. I told her it's the only iPad I kept in my room. She actually wanted to know if I had a composition notebook that I wasn't using. Staring straight at it, she had no idea. (My students know what it is now, but random students that manage to stroll in when they aren't supposed to are the ones that I'm most concerned about. No, the lock on my door doesn't work.) This is perfect protection for my device and just what I needed! Other teachers have asked me for the link. Love it!
