This is my first serious camera and I am enjoying it to the hilt. I'd recommend It if you are not ready for a DSLR but want something that gives comparable results.

Camera is just what I need as an amateur photographer.

Shipping was not 2 days but prompt. The product was well boxed and protected. The camera is just want I need. Digital, light body, and easy to use. And the super zoom! The kit has all the basic accessories that I need. The manual was easy to download to my phone. Wi-fi and NFC. I will definitely shop here again for more accessories.

Great Camera

My best friend, who is a photographer, bought me my last three camera's. In my move from Los Angeles to Ecuador my camera didn't make it. So I decided to purchase a new camera. I asked my friend for his opinion and we both picked the exact same camera. I love it! Going on vacation soon to The Galapagos and Matchu-Pitchu and can't wait to see the shots I can get with this baby.

Okay... I bought this camera back in Feb. this year... And I LOVE IT. It's an AMAZING camera especially for beginners or even intermediate photographers/videographers. It came with everything shown and I have NO complaints. Once I learned how to use the manual aperture, shutter speed and focus etc. That made my photos 10X better! IM IN LOVE! I would DEFINITELY recommend this camera to anyone who wants to tap into this side of art. Only "Con" I would say it has is that the Audio for videos isn't that well. However, the video and camera itself is amazing. The zoom is phenomenal as well.

Excellent pre-DSLR for intermediates (especially if you can live without ISO 6400)

Because my clients are mainly low-budget local nonprofit groups and no-budget entry-level rock bands, I needed a camera with: - a fixed lens (most music venues don't allow interchangeable ones) - high ISO settings (for stop action in low light) due to needing: - a flash that can be turned off (most performers don't like flashes going off in their faces) - the look of a "real" camera rather than a glorified credit card (coming across as an amateur to nonprofit groups or a "groupie with benefits" to music venues can get you turned away REAL quick) - battery packs (I've had enough of lugging twenty-packs of batteries around) - a light weight (I've also had enough of lugging a full-sized SLR around) - image stabilization (for the best low-light/no-flash stop action of fast-moving bands while in the vicinity of fast-moving mosh pits) - a maximum price of $250. The only sacrifice the Powershot SX530 required me to make is to have a maximum ISO of 3200 (there's a Nikon with a 6400 ISO and a fixed lens in my price range, but it runs on batteries). While I highly recommend the SX530 as a beginner digital camera, I don't recommend it FOR beginners -- combining its features with your experience and skill in using shutter speeds, aperture settings, and ISO what will take your photos to a higher level.

OUTSTANDING POINT-AND-SHOOT CAMERA!

Amazon had several different suppliers for this product. I believe I selected the best supplier. The camera arrived two days earlier than predicted in the shipping date. ALL of the accessories promised in the listing were provided. And while I have not yet put the camera through all of its paces, it seems to be excellent in the limited use so far. At this point, I am extremely pleased with this supplier. What I wanted was a camera with great and reliable technology for personal point-and-shoot use with family gatherings and travel. It seems perfectly suited for what I wanted. Putting aside for the moment the great technology, there is one frustrating non-technical aspect of this camera. It is next to impossible to attach the shoulder strap provided to the camera. I have noted on line that some people give up, toss the strap, and buy a different, more workable strap. But the included strap can be attached if you are patient. Despite this very minor annoyance, this camera seems great and I highly recommend this supplier.

Look No Further.

This is exactly what we were looking for. It is simple to use, and has an outstanding picture. I also love that the camera has the ability to sync right up to a mobile phone. The camera can even loop directly to your home WiFi. This option was a difficult to find the 1st time for whatever reason, but I stumbled into it the 2nd time I tried. The WiFi / Mobile phone capability is awesome! Great deal for all that is included. Very impressed overall!

Great camera plus accessories

I researched cameras extensively and settled on the canon sx530. I wanted something that took great photos, easy to use with a good zoom, but the option of having some manual settings. It can take both action and still shots. I recently used it on a whale watch and the zoom enabled me to get some good photos. My biggest complaint, not the fault of the camera, is that when the sun shines on the lens, the image on the LCD screen is impossible to see due to glare. Apparently the old fashioned view finder on a camera is obsolete! I especially like Beach Camera package; it comes with all sorts of extras like a case, extra battery, SD card, etc. I originally bought this camera at Target for $249 and Beach has the same camera with all the accessories for the same price! (Returned the camera to Target.). Can’t beat that!

Quality, entry level camera - one step below a DSLR

Great package deal with all of the supplies that come with this. The USB drive for the SD card is a great tool. Camera takes excellent pictures. Perfect for a beginner. I took about 400 pictures over a week's vacation and was very happy with the results. Learn the different settings, and you have a great camera. Camera bag is pretty large for the size of the camera -- I use a smaller one. Amazon offered the best price that I could find in retail stores and online.
