Awesome... love it!!!! Great for my home made Raiden MK2 cosplayer costume!.. So well constructed I'm going to use this around the house for yard work!!! AWESOME!! It has a basket on the inside for your head, so it sits higher and more comfortably than a costume one... and it doesn't wobble! Very practical

Love this hat. Times Two.

Just ordered my second hat. I used it as a garden hat out here in the heat and humidity of Texas Hill Country, and pretty much wore it out. It is still very serviceable but I'd like one that isn't so ratty. I knock it around all the time, and I keep expecting the crown to develop a hole. What I don't understand is mine is bamboo but this latest one says 100% polyester. ?? I guess we will see when it gets here. Also.. when it rains, this keeps my head and shoulders dry. Oh.. it keeps major sun off my face and shoulders, something even the big sun hats did not do.

I wear rice hats a lot since I work outdoors. This one is built to last. Pro craftsmanship, strong knit, and clear coat keep the weave tight. I dropped it a couple of times and the point is still intact. Also, the real wood inner cap thingy makes a big difference vs the plastic ones.

Love this hat!

I purchased this for my trip to the beach earlier this month (June 2015). I wanted something that was durable, had plenty of coverage, and functional. This hat nailed all three of my expectations. I have a large head and broad shoulders so I was initially afraid that it may not fit correctly or look awkward in proportion to my body. It fit really well, setting on the crown of my head. The leather straps made it easy to adjust and stay put. The shade was great. It produced enough to cover my face, neck, most of my shoulders and depending on how I sat, my feet as well. It held up when I went into the water, preventing most wave splashes from penetrating. At the end of the day, I would let it air off, shake off any sand and debris, and get ready for another day. The straps only failed me in winds in excess of 15mph, making it difficult to stay on. The only real down side is that it can catch the wind in the breeze and come off your head if the straps are not adjusted properly.

Excellent quality

High quality hat that allows ventilation between the head and the hat due to the inner ring that makes a gap through which air can flow. Size should fit any adult. Will protect the head and neck from exposure to the sun while the chin strap will hold it in place during activities. This is not a weak, floppy hat, but made of strong fibers which should hold up to usage.

Get a coating to put on it!

The hat is exactly what I ordered. I’ve been wearing it for a solid week now with no issues. With that said here are some pros and cons Pros: -well made -sturdy -Shades very well Cons: -it appears that some type of coating on the hat may have to be redone over time to protect it. -not the most ideal for windy conditions. Overall it’s definitly a 5 star for me because it was everything I was looking for. However I do recommend trying to find a coating to apply to the hat to make it last longer.

Thought I was being a dork, but ended up being smart

I bought this hat for fun. I like to be dorky. Plus I thought it would be fun doing yard work with a cone hat on. Give the neighbors something to talk about. Little did I know that this was actually a quite useful hat and the design of the hat is really clever. One, it gives plenty of coverage from the sun. I live in Oklahoma and it seems like the sun is simply closer here. Secondly, the hat sits a bit up off your head so there is a bit of airflow in there to help keep you cooler. So, at first I wore it for fun, now I wear it because it is smart. This is a great hat for doing yard work or being outside in the sun extended lengths of time.

It'a light weight and fits better than expected

I've worn the hat the past three days since received. It'a light weight and fits better than expected. I get fully shaded on my face and neck from direct sunlight, Its made from sturdy materials and the chin strap holds it on when I get a small wind. This was a great purchase

I got this to keep the sun off while doing field work in a farm. Works very well, fairly sturdily built, total 360° coverage; iconic fashion statement. Really came to like this style had after wearing one a lot in South Korea, though that’s not what they typically wear; they called it the Vietnam hat.
