So far I have only tested it out and it works fine. Fits nicely in my Canon D70. Looks like it will work nicely for my eclipse photo shoot...

Camera: Canon Rebel T3i When I went out shooting astrophotography with my dad, he mentioned using a remote. The ones he had all had bigger ports, and for some reason, Canon built mine with a miniature port! After our camping trip, I looked all over for a suitable remote that would have a hold button and a timer. Skeptical at the cheap price, I purchased this and received it in 2 days. This remote DOES IT ALL! If you set your camera to BULB, you can press the HOLD button on the remote and slide the button up, and it will move upward to lock into place - keeping your camera shutter open and on to gather so much light! It will then produce a red flashing light and make a ticking noise. The cord is long enough to place nearby or dangle off of the camera without detaching comfortably since the remote is also lightweight. CONS: There is no POWER button. You have to remove one of the AAA batteries (sold separately) for the remote to shut off. I'd recommend this to anyone with a miniature port on their camera for the remote control! -Chayla

This timer works great. Very easy to use, well made and works just as well as the expensive ones. Instructions are very useful and easy to understand. Have taken some great time elapse pictures with this remote.

I used this to take photos of Christmas lights at night. The remote was very easy to use and the images came out very nice. I'll be using this for more night photos as I learn night photography.

Works as advertised. Nice build. feels solid.

Good remote release. I used it for photographing the eclipse and it performed flawlessly.

Nice product. Had an excellent use

Works great...very easy to use after quickly browsing the manual...

It really should be a 4.9 star... Love the unit and everything works flawlessly. With one caveat, the light will either stay on or off when you lock the shutter on, depending if it was on or off when you slide it. . You have no control over the lighted screen when you slide the lock up and hold the shutter. A minor annoyance. However it seemed notable. So, A) you can't see how long it's been locked without an external light. Or, B) the lighted screen stays lit the entire time the shutter lock is on. Which can be a bit frustrating. But this little remote is sooooo worth its cost that's its crazy not to buy it.
