Good enough for a professional
My wife is a professional photographer and finds this lightweight kit to be all that she needs. She went to JoAnn's Fabrics and picked up a few pieces of fabric as nice backdrops to hang on it. Keeping the backdrop rolled up is necessary to prevent lines forming in the fabric. The poles are just the right firmness to be stable yet remain light.

Party Backdrop
This is a must have for parties! It's great for candy or cake table backdrops, even photo booths. We used it for a Quinceanera but it would work for any baby shower, birthday party, etc. I used sheer curtains, a sheer window scarf, and gold table covers for the backdrop. The clips that come with it are sufficient for a basic backdrop. The gold tablecovers I used were heavy so I used stronger clamps from the hardware store. For a sturdy stand, you MUST use the included sandbags. I picked up sand from the hardware store. With the sandbags holding the legs in place, I was able to hang a heavy frame and gold glitter tablecloths from the stand with ZERO wobbling.

Great for my backdrops!
Worked well for my backdrop. I do candy/dessert tables for parties and special events. This stand works well for how I need it. Easy to assemble and take apart. Very easy to transport. I've only used it on light weight backdrops.

Works Well And Its A Great Value
I'm completely satisfied. It's almost impossible to buy any of these products because there's always 1 or 2 negative reviews that make it difficult to pull the trigger. Glad I did. Everything worked as advertised. Maybe a little WD40 or grease where the poles connect but only a drop at most, you don't want it to bleed onto your canvas. I bought a wrinkle free heavier canvas and it holds it well. If you're expecting to be able to do gymnastics on this, you can't but for simple, even professional photography, it's great. With the clamps, it held up the black sheet I used for the attached photos, along with the white canvas I bought as well.

Looks great!! Exactly what I needed!
So far so good. Set up was a breeze. Bought this for at home photo sessions with my two little ones. Why pay studio fees etc for over $200 when I can play dress up with as many outfits for as long as I need with this perfect photography setup!!

Great product - works as described!
I am so very pleased with this product. Set up is so easy and it is surely sturdy enough for my needs. I forgot to buy sand bags to use the sand bag pouches provided and it was fine for the event. The backdrop I created used a vinyl 5X7 background with many paper flowers attached to it and the unit was sturdy enough to hold it all. I am short so I had to keep lengthening and shortening the poles to get things just right and it worked out fine. The latches are strong but easy to open and close for quick adjustments. It unpacks and packs up quickly and easily. I used to use pvc pipe and connectors to make my backdrops for parties. This last party I used this unit and then the pvc pipes for a second backdrop. That pvc mess was so wobbly and unstable compared to this unit so I will be ordering a second one now.

Perfect for Conferences
We had a tabletop conference (no backdrops/pole setup). I purchased this to hold our banner. The photo is a bit offset, but you can see it in behind our table. We simply zip-tied the banner to the vertical and horizontal poles, from the front it looked great (from the front, not so much the side, this just highlights the use). The only problem was we couldn't pull it tight because there is no post at the bottom, so you get a 'puckering' in the canvas - you can see in the photo where the bottom is taut but the top has a wave. It's meant for really only meant for extremely light material. Well worth what was spent to purchase the frame. This is also great to use as a cheap separator for areas of a room by hanging a colored sheet. The telescoping is fantastic, although as it gets higher of course it gets more unstable. The pipes are fairly flimsy but size to weight ratio is perfect. Takes all of a few minutes to set up if you are familiar with the legs and arms. I don't know if I would ever put and leave it at the top height unless it was heavily weighed down or had some back support/post at the bottom. It's also worth noting that to get it to maximum height, you have to make the 'footprint' of the feet rather small, which lends to more instability. For small areas, this can be challenging not to hit the feet. I really like the product and never knocked it over when I hit them with my wheelchair, we just had to reset the post since it would spin. It's not pipe-and-drape, but the next best thing in a compact and light package. Since it is light, you always run the risk of it bending or falling if you hit the frame, so just ensure people active around it are very cognizant of spatial proximity and/or durability.

The stand worked great and was easy to assemble
I used this to create a backdrop for the bride and groom at a bridal shower. The stand worked great and was easy to assemble! I would note that if you will be putting anything heavy on the stand(like paper flowers) you will need an extra support in the middle.

awesome product!!!
It's great, I'm using it for my back drop for my wedding, it's so practical and I can't wait to add the lights! My wedding planner wanted to charge me $225 for my back drop and I got everything I needed for less than $90!!!! Unbeatable! Great for anything!
