Honestly, this was not the Hot Wheels Hauler I was looking for as a Christmas present, for one of the grandkids. I wanted something that looked like a cool actual auto carrier. After checking probably 30 different sites and seeing that the plastic ones were basically junk and you can expect to pay $88 & up for metal ones (and I mean WAY up), I decided to give this a shot. Really glad I did, because this is a solid little vehicle. Over the years, there have probably been hundreds of Hot Wheels and Match Box cars in my son & daughter-in laws home (they have 14 kids). After my son has stepped on a lot of them, guess where they ended up?? This holds up to 50 vehicles and I know some of the other kids will be putting theirs on it too. I included 5 more Hot Wheels for him too (in case dad has tossed some out). If they seem to do well with this, I may purchase the Orange Hot Wheels Mega Hauler for them too, because they all play with each other's toys. I always check the toys out, when they arrive and this toy moves freely and seems pretty well made for the price. I recommend it. Thank you for reading my review.

Huge hit!!

I bought this for my nephew - 3 years old- and my kids 7 and 6 were playing with it in the packaging before I wrapped it. I kind of felt bad because after he opened all his gifts, he only played with this loader and some cars I got for him. Score one for the favorite aunt!

Great toy for kids who love Hot Wheels.

I bought this for my son who has collected many Hot Wheels and the cars were laying around the house everywhere as he found it no fun to store it in the collector's display cases. With this truck, not only does he have lots of fun playing with it but also naturally cleans up the cars laying around the home into a neat truck that carries at least fifty Hot Wheels cars. A very nice concept - fun and practical!

Great STORAGE trailer. It's not a transporter.

This is a great buy if you know what you're getting. My son and I manage to fit 56 Hot Wheels and a few Matchbox cars in this behemoth. See the pictures! When fully loaded the trailer isn't going too go far, its far too heavy and if you topple it over the cars will spill out. This is a storage unit NOT a transport unit. My son pushes it around the house a bit but it gets more use after play time, again as a storage unit. The extension of the top shelves is nice. Overly wide or tall car will have to fit on the top.

Great truck for storage and play

My two year old grand son really likes this! It is not very heavy material, but it seems to be holding up well. It is easy enough to maneuver and stack cars...even for a little one that just turned two.

This thing is awesome! My son loves it! He has had this toy for about 9 months now, and he still plays with it daily. At the age of 2 and a half, he was able to operate this truck without assistance from anyone. While the cars shoot out of the rig on carpet, it works best on either tile or hard wood. The other thing that really gives this toy longevity is that it works with all hot wheels which we can pick up at our local grocery for under a dollar.

Solid build, good fun.

Bought this for our 4 year old. It's a great truck; very sturdy and doesn't feel like it will break despite the abuse he's given it over the past few weeks. It comes with three cars and you can load a bunch more on the bottom row and more on the top. Not all Hot Wheel and Matchbox cars will fit as once in a while we run into a car that is a little too wide; the 'tracks' on the truck seem just slightly smaller than the orange race tracks. The cars on the bottom rows will shoot out the front of the truck. This action isn't exactly precise and sometimes the cars come flying out and sometimes the kind of roll out a little early when you pull the launching button back, but it's still fun. Again, some cars do better than others. Aside from the size requirement, we discovered that convertibles and other cars with lots of jagged top portions tend to get stuck so we avoid launching those. The from part of the truck has to be pushed all the way back and snapped into the trailer for the cars to launch, and in this configuration it won't move side to side. But if you pull the front part forward it will easily move side to side. If you look at the pictures this will make more sense. I will say that although I thought the launching function would be the coolest part, my son actually prefers just driving it around and loading cars onto it. He uses the launching function only occasionally. Overall, a great purchase and easily worth the price.

My son loves this truck, and the price was right!

My son loves trucks that carry cars, and he would see this one at Toys 'r' Us and Target all the time and play with it on the shelf. The problem was that it was a bit expensive for what it was. At TRU it was $20, and at Target it was $14, still a bit pricey for this, I felt, considering it doesn't come with any cars to carry. But at the wonderful price of $9.96 that Amazon was offering it for, I was able to grab it for Christmas! My son will be thrilled.

Good quality and my boys love it!

One of my boys favorite things to do is to haul "stuff" around. They don't care if it's rocks, hot wheels cars or their sister's barbies, it's game on as soon as they find a suitable hauler! So, I bought them each a hot wheels hauler for Christmas to accompany the hot wheels garage we had bought. They LOVE them!! The hot wheels cars fit on the hauler perfectly and it doesn't have issues with detaching. I love how sturdy these haulers are, they've held up well to my three rowdy boys. The color makes them easy to spot in the toy box and goes nicely with the other hot wheels products. If you have a car hauling enthusiastic kiddo, I highly recommend this car hauler! It has provided hours of imaginative play and is hard for them to put down!
