My son kept talking about this really cool toy, his words, he and his friends played with at school. I finally got tired of hearing about it so I did some research and stumbled upon this. I thought I'd give it a try since it was reasonably priced, and his birthday was coming up. It arrived within two days and my son found it outside our door when he came home from school. The surprise was outta the bag so he gave me the money so he could have it earlier. He couldn't wait to tear into the box and test out his new toy. Fast forward approx 30mins and my son is in tears, inconsolable. The toy hit the moist dirt/grass of our front yard and cracked! Come to find out, this supposedly "durable rubber" is nothing more than hard plastic, the kind that will eventually become brittle and crack over time. I expected it to hold up for far longer than 30mins! I wrote an email to the vendor explaining the reason why I wasn't the best to write a review because of what my son experienced. Supposedly they are shipping out a replacement to my son, I will update my review if and when I receive it. Until then, I can't recommend this item, spend the money on one that is actually made of rubber not plastic. They're 3x more expensive but are more likely to withstand a few drops on plyable surfaces! UPDATE April 8th - I just received the replacement diablo in the mail. Not only did I receive a brand new set (sticks, diablo, replacement string and bag) but they also sent me another diablo. This company far exceeded my expections when dealing with a broken toy. Gave them five stars just for customer service alone, very impressed!

Great customer service!

My son loves this yo-yo. It’s sturdy and a good weight, really amazing for the price. Fixed axle, so easy for a beginner as well as versatile for trickier moves. We are actually on our second one though - the first one arrived misshapen and wouldn’t spin correctly (it seems that the package was damaged during delivery). The company was SO responsive, reaching out to me to send a new one immediately. My son’s school uses these in their afterschool program, so I plan to purchase more from this company and donate to the school because of this great customer care.

I didn't know much about Chinese Yoyos and I guess I should have researched this a bit because my son was hoping for one with ball bearings (??) which this did not have. That's my fault though. It's a decent size.

Great fun for my boy...

My 9 year old son wanted this because he is taking a "lab" class at school with Kendamas. One of the kids brought a Chinese Yoyo to the last class and of course my son wanted one. He came straight home from school, found one on Amazon, handed over his allowance and waited patiently 2 days for it to ship (quick shipping, thank you!). He's playing with it outside as I type, loves it.

Great size, great fun...

My 9yr old bought this and hasn't put it down since it was delivered on Saturday. He loves the size of the thing and the fact that in a couple of days he can already do several tricks. We have to send him outside as he is always bouncing it off the ceiling.

Broke within an hour -- UPDATE

I bought three of these. One for me, one for my niece, one for my nephew. I hadn't used a diabolo in years but I could still do all of the tricks. My nephew loved it and started practicing right away. But, within an hour of using it, his diabolo broke. It fell a bunch of times, but it's not like he was even throwing it up in the air at this point. The diabolo walls are now all cracked. It's really sad because he loves the thing. My only assessment is that the material this is made of is not very durable at all. UPDATE Sept 17th - I just received the replacement diablo in the mail. Buy from Clean Air Commerce - you won't be disappointed!

I rarely write reviews, but I just HAD to write about the amazing customer service I received from the seller, Clean Air Commerce. I contacted them because the diabolo cracked while my daughter was practicing with it the day after we received it. Not only did Lars respond almost immediately, but he shipped out a replacement THE SAME DAY! We received it just two days later including a HAND-WRITTEN note apologizing for the trouble AND bonus items included. The service was above and beyond my expectations - the kind of service you just don't see often these days!! If you need ANYTHING they have to offer, definitely buy from them! As for the diabolo, it is great! My daughter needed it for their school's production of Pippin. The drama teacher gave her a cheap diabolo she had and it was just awful. I ordered this one and she was able to start doing simple tricks right away. It is weighted very well and spins fast and smooth. It is a quality product and most importantly backed by superior service. Thank you, Lars!!

Perfect Starter + Great customer service

The diabolo in this set is great quality, and the wood sticks are grippy even if your palms sweat. This should be everyone's first diabolo set. MOST IMPORTANTLY. There was a problem with my product (which I only told them about because my friend's two sets we're different). After ri told them the situation, they replied to my email that-day, and I got a package within 3 days with some extra goodies. Excellent service. I'm really impressed with this company because they mentioned they're only a 4 person operation! Super cool.

It seems to be made of excellent materials, and has a great feel

I used to be a hardcore diabolo player, but it's been about seven years since I picked one up. I decided to get back into it, but didn't want to invest too much, as money's tight. I found this option, and was skeptical about the price, figuring cheap stuff tends to be flimsy or poorly made. To my pleasant surprise, this was not at all the case with the flight diabolo! It seems to be made of excellent materials, and has a great feel. Now, having only just gotten back into it, I'm considering my opinion to be that of a beginner. So, that being said, I think this is a fantastic beginners diabolo; a great combination of affordability and quality.

Fun product; great customer service.

Like others, we had a break the first day of use. The vendor send us a whole new kit, plus one extra (gently used) yo-yo, and it arrived via Priority Mail in two days. As noted, it's a fun product with great customer service.
