Cannot recommend highly enough

My wife suffers from MS and I have multiple health issues that make steering difficult for both of us at times. We have owned a number of steering knobs in the past. They were each satisfactory, but this is far better than any of those. The gripping surface is textured and rubberised making for a very secure and comfortable feel. The bearings are very smooth and operate with very little resistance. The look is very straightforward yet appealing without the hot rod look that is so common in most steering knobs. The only complaint is that the written directions for installation were solely in Japanese. That really wasn't a problem, however, as the accompanying graphics were more than sufficient for a quick, easy and secure installation. As our vehicle comes with a slightly padded leather steering wheel, I was concerned about possible damage. While I'm certain there will be a permanent impression once the knob is removed, the set of included pads ensure as much as is possible that will be the only issue resulting from the use of this product. I really am very happy with this particular steering knob and wish it had been the first I ever bought. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is in need of such a device, and if we ever need another steering knob I will definitely purchase this again.

Great Suicide Knob For The Money!

I dont know why so many people rated this product bad or too loose. first of all if its too loose and you used both the rubber inserts included, then you my friend dont have a steering wheel from a car or truck, you have a pinky dink go cart steering wheel that you should immediately call the manufacturer about!!! I didn't even have to use one insert on my GMC vehicle and it works like a charm. I drive for Lyft and this this is a life saver when you have to get around tight corners or make a 3-point turn. The picture makes the knob seem really big, but its not, it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and is easy to hold onto when driving on the highway. I have carpal tunnel and sometimes holding the steering wheel for a long time makes my hand hurt and this thing is alot more comfortable to hold onto. The piece itself has a nice rubber grip to it so it will never slip away. I mounted this at the 3-o'clock position on the steering wheel just above the T cross section for the best control of the vehicle. Dont try to mount in at the top of the steering wheel (your not a truck driver and placing it here will almost always get you hit by it when your turning) and dont mount it on the bottom unless you have a sever handicap. Also, the knob should always face outwards and not inwards, its designed to be like that, your not special, dont mount it where the knob is face inside of the steering wheel. Id buy it again if i had to. Also I used to be a trucker and hand many variations of this and his one is the most comfortable one ive had thus far.

easy to install

I do a lot of driving that requires me to use just one hand, I have to hold an object in the other hand. (No it does not take my attention from the road) This knob makes it so much easier to turn corners and move in and out of sites with relative ease. I used one of these many years ago while driving a friends car, he only had the use of one arm, and it stuck with me. When I ran into the situation of having to turn many times a day and only haveing the use of one hand this came to mind. I ordered this, only took two days to get here, easy to install, just a few minutes, and off I went. It has worked like a charm, and I now know that I love having this even when I am not using it for the purpose I purchased it. It just makes driving that much easier. I would recommend this to anyone.

Quality at a good price.

This product is made very sturdy for the price you pay and is much better than I originally expected. The clamp portion is metal and does not feel flimsy in the slightest, it feels strong enough to handle the every day use this is designed for. The rubber "spacers" or inserts are two different thicknesses. This will allow you to choose one or the other to mount appropriately to your application. The mounting hardware, or screw/washer in this case is a nice size, as big as any of the more important bolts on my motorcycle's handlebar, now the grade of metal is unknown. The washer is a lock washer designed to fit into the back of the clamp to keep a secure fit; time will tell if this holds up. The knob itself feels great, it has a very soft but firm touch to it, and the grip is outstanding. The rotation acts freely and I was surprised at how well it felt, again due to the price of the item. Now as for the people having trouble mounting this product, if you're trying to mount this to a soft foam or leather wheel, you have to take into account the looseness of that material when you are mounting the clamp. I'm a younger guy, and I do most of my own mechanic work; I had to fight with this to get it to mount tightly enough to meet my satisfaction. After fighting it for a solid 8 minutes, it will still move if put under enough downward or upward force, given that my wheel is NOT a perfect round shape. The wheel I mounted this to is elliptical all the way around the wheel, I was able to put it in a position that I feel comfortable using this product on the street as well as off-road 4x4 which was the main reason for the purchase. TL;DR for mounting, if you didn't fight with the screw to get the threads started during mounting, it will not be tight enough to hold onto your wheel and will be unsafe and/or loosen over time. If my opinion changes of the product I will be sure to edit with any modifications I had to make to enable sufficient use.

First off I came here looking for a knob for my Ken worth, and the reviews left me confused If this would work... The answer is yes!! It comes with 2 inserts to make it fit on your wheel tighter. I installed it without the insert the first time, but if I put weight on it, it would turn.. so installed again and it is perfectly tight with 1 insert! pros: sturdy nice bearings make turning easy looks cool cons: none

Looks and performs very well!

Got this today and so far I love it. The package and instructions are written entirely in Chinese or something similar but that's OK. It's not hard to figure out how to install. If you are ordering this I'm sure you know how to use and install it. One thing I did do was change out the lockdown screw that comes with it to an actual bolt that I could tighten town with a ratchet. That gives you much more tightening ability when installing, and you want this thing tight or you could lose your life. Looks really good and feels really good. Spins in your hand with zero noise and has very little drag whatsoever. Feels really well made. I drive 6-8 hours a day in my car and this made the work day much easier for me today. So far I recommend this over the ugly ones you can get at your local part store.

Best suicide knob I’ve ever used

My physical therapist recommended I try using a suicide knob to assist me with driving with my arthritic hands. After trying several different models, I have found this to be best suicide knob I’ve ever used! The flattened shape of the knob fits well against the palm of my hand, and does not strain my fingers during gripping. The silicone component of the knob makes for a very sure and firm grip with my hands. Installation was very simple and straightforward – a good thing, since all of the directions were in Korean! The assortment of washers made the attachment clamp compatible with the steering wheel in my car as well as my truck, and attached so securely that there is still absolutely no wobble or slip even after months of daily use. This has brought the joy of driving back for me and helped me overcome the limited use of my hands and my one arm. I have recommended this particular model to friends and family, my physical therapist, and I would give this 10 stars if I could!

Nice & smooth performer.

I bought this a while before I was going into surgery for a rotator cuff tear. I wanted to get used to it before my right arm was disabled. After some adjustments, I finally decided to mount it in the 8 o'clock position on the steering wheel. There I can rest my left arm on the car door arm rest & have the ability to control my steering. I liked using it so much, I will use it from now on, even after my arm is healed again. So much better turning leverage then sticking your fingers between steering wheel spokes for quick turns, or parking. I also have the model handle that clicks back out of the way if necessary. I'm hooked. I use it all the time, even with both arms still mobile. My surgery is in a few days. But at this point the speed wheel has been used regularly. It will never come off, with or without a medical restriction. Once my arm is healed, I will be putting the fold away model on for right hand use in the 4 o'clock position. I am thinking about getting a second fold away model so I can easily click either one into position. BL will be on my radar from now on. I may even buy a few more for changing off for something new to look at. Thanks BL
