• STRAIGHTENS BETTER: The rounded design of the rotating barrel and tourmaline ceramic heated plate prevents creasing and crushing that can flatten hair, while the ionic bristles brush and polish strands to reduce frizz and deliver maximum shine.
  • MAXIMUM SALON STYLE: MINIMUM EFFORT.: The larger surface area of the 1.25” round barrel (versus a flat plate) strengthens heat recovery, allowing MAX to maintain a consistent high heat of 425°F for maximum speed and styling efficiency.
  • PROFESSIONAL STYLING: With 360° of straightening power, the MAX Rotating Styler is preferred over flat irons for straightening and controlling frizz, while adding body and shine.
  • USE ON ALL HAIR TYPES: With 4 Heat Settings 285°F, 315°F, 385°F, 425°F, use on all hair lengths, types, and textures. Also has a 6' Professional Swivel Cord and Automatic Shut Off.
  • MAXIMUM VERSATILITY: The revolutionary design of the 1.25” two-way rotating barrel straightens hair and gives you the option to easily add curl, body, and shine.

I just received this after buying it on Prime Day. There is a learning curve on using it. I tried to use it right out of the box and it went ok. You NEED to watch a couple of videos to really get the hang of it. After I watched the videos, it went much better. I know after a few more times, I will be a pro. It makes my hair really shiny and removed the annoying "bad perm" curl my hair normally has. I would recommend it if you are patient and used to using curling or flat irons.

I have used the original InStyler for quite a few years, and literally wore out 3 of them. I have longer than shoulder length hair that is of medium thickness, and totally straight. When my last original InStyler suddenly quit working, I went into a panic to find something I could use to curl my hair. When I found this model on Amazon, I decided to try it since it looks very similar to the original. It may look the same as the original, but it certainly doesn't work the same. The 2-way rotating iron is difficult to work with. It is supposed to change direction when you quickly click the unit closed twice, It does change direction, but sometimes reverts back to the previous rotation when you attempt to use it on your hair. The problem with this is that rotation in the wrong direction creates the effect of backcombing. For long hair, this can mean knots that have to be combed out. Another problem with this InStyler is a small spacing between the rotating iron and the handle. If your hair happens to get into this space, it grabs your hair, wraps it into the opening, and pulls the hair out at the root. If you can stop the rotation before it yanks out your hair, you have to figure out which way the hair is wrapped to unwind it. I suppose this can be avoided if you make sure your hair is in the middle of the roller, but this isn't always easy depending on the area you are curling. Since the original InStyler is no longer available, I will try to deal with this one, but I am not happy with it at this point. UPDATE 6/10/18 I have been using this InStyler every day for almost two weeks, and I am getting used to it so it is working better for me. It will still grab my hair once in a while, but keeping the hair away from the ends of the iron prevents hair from getting caught in it. When I start curling my hair, I make sure the rotation is going in the correct direction, and have learned when to change the rotation for each section that I curl. This curling iron takes a little time to get used to it, but it's not bad once you do. I have increased the star rating from 2 to 4 since I have become accustomed to it, and it's working better for me. This curler is good to put a bend in your hair, but it is not much of a curler. If you have curly hair, it would work well to straighten and smooth it, Update 8/12/18:: I have the 2-Way rotating figured out so that I know which way it is turning once I get it going in the right direction for the top of my hair. After I curl the top, I double click to change the rotation, and the rest of my hair is curled with the same rotation because of the way I hold my hand that is holding the curler. If you have any frizzies, this curler will smooth them so they aren't seen. It will make your hair smooth and shiny. For long hair, such as mine, it adds body to the top, and just needs to be held a little longer on the ends to get a bend. I have longer than shoulder length hair and, once the top is done which is shorter, I can do all my hair in 5 sections after it is washed and dried. Between washings, I split the hair into sections from the back and curl only the ends. At this point, I very seldom get any hair caught in the ends of the curler. Since I am happy with this curler, I have increased the rating from 4 to 5 stars. UPDATE 09/25/18: Now that I am used to using this curler, I actually love it. You just have to get used to what direction that you want the curler to rotate for the sections of hair that you curl. Once you get this down, it's a no-brainer to curl your hair. I have noticed that it sometimes takes twice to get some curl and the curl is loose.I have long hair, and all I want is a bend at the end of the hair, so this works fine for me. The option of choosing the rotation is actually beneficial so that you can use the rotation the is best for the hair you are curling. I use one rotation for the top of my head and the opposite for the sides because of the way I hold the curler. Using this curler is a learning thing, but it works and it works well. I have also found that it works well on slightly damp hair. This seems to set the curl better.

I normally don't write review on products but I can't help it on this occasion! This product has exceeded my expectations by far!!! I have seen the ads on television and thought "here is another marketing gimmick" but everything about this product is just as advertised. I have mixed quality hair that is long (half way down my back) and kinky, and I have always had a challenge with getting it straight. I have tried regular straighteners that works just fine but would take a lot of time because I had to do the same section of hair 3 or 4 times and add a LOT of hair products. With the Instyler I only had to pass it through my hair a maximum of 2 times for my hair to get super straight and silky smooth (with a lot less hair spray/moisturiser/etc)! So for all my kinky hairs girls out there who are doing tons of research (like I did) and trying to find the best product for your hair - you can stop looking because this is it!!! I also love the removable cool tip which has saved me from burned fingers every time. I love how easy it is to change the direction of the rotation so I don't have to be twisting my arms in awkward positions when styling my hair. It does make a soft, humming sound that may take some getting used to (after using it a few times, I don't even notice the sound anymore). My only challenge is that the Instyler is 110V which means that here in Grenada (and most other places in the Caribbean that use 220V) I have to connect it to a transformer in order to use it (FYI - plugging it straight into the wall will burn the socket and fry the Instyler to toast). Overall, a totally awesome product that is worth every penny I spent on it (and more)!!!

Love LOVE this product! I have very curly, fuzzy hair and in 2 passes with the instyler and I have amazing straight shiny hair! Only downside is the brushes start to bend inwards after so many uses and I cannot find replacements for it... I have had this now for abt a year and it is my every day tool!

I have a lot of medium to thick hair with wavy/frizzy texture. There is no such thing as a 5 min. hair styling for me, just the amount of hair I have requires time. I hoped this tool would help make styling easier, and I'm happy to say it does make curling my hair go faster. Because of the brush and spinning action the heat touches/brushes through all of my strands of hair, so I don't need to hold it in the heat very long for it to curl. It also smoothes my hair into a shiny finish.

I bought the 1/4 inch because I have very thick and curly and wavy hair. I get blow outs all the time because it's easier to manage and this product gave the feeling as if I had just gotten one. It's a little confusing to use at first but it cuts straightening time in half and I only have to go over one piece twice if I use a big chunk . This is the best thing Hair tool I've bought and I'm so excited but sad I didn't find it earlier.

Oh InStyler, how I love thee! I can wake up with my hair all hit up, just heat this up for about a minute and the magic begins! I walk out of the bathroom about 7 minutes later with perfect, work ready hair! I am in love! BTW I have super fine hair (Caucasian) with a natural wave that can be unruly at times. She tames it down just like a pro.

Best hair tool in my arsenal. I love that it easily straightens my wickedly curly hair but adds a polished curl at the bottom. My hair is very thick and very curly and this works like a dream once you figure out the best way. I watched YouTube videos and that helped tremendously. Definitely a bit of a leaving curve to perfect the technique but so worth it!

Works better than expected. On my hair, lowest heat setting is best. Makes my short layered hair do exactly like I want. I was leary of cost, but worth every penny (not on sale). Not hard to use. Amazing how much better it is than a curling iron or flat iron.

I ordered the InStyler from an infomercial years ago and was glad to find this here! It has been a favorite styling tool of mine and my daughter. I work in the modeling industry as talent and make up artist/stylist so this is my go to for those jobs as well. My daughter and I have very thick, long hair and this works beautifully at giving us perfectly straight, smooth locks..no frizz. I love how versatile it is as well, if you want curls, waves...you can get those looks too! The last job I styled models hair for, nearly every woman asked where I got this because they couldn't stop touching their hair, very impressed with the look and feel. I will be buying another; so I have one for professional purposes and one for personal use ;) My only criticism would be the little knob that screws on at the tip. My hair got caught in it a few times so I just took it off, problem solved.
