Pressure washer works great! I almost bought one of the other yellow ones with the great reviews on here. But I like the form factor and engineering that went into this machine. Doesn't have the same power as a gas washer, but for most people including me, it is perfect. It's quiet, auto stops, doesn't leak, doest take up a whole storage shed, is easy to maneuver, take up stairs. It has a loooooong 30 or so foot cord, and another 30 feet of high pressure hose. The reel should also have enough capacity to add another 25-30 ft of hose, no problem. Soap dispenser works great, has four levels of adjustability! I haven't tried the turbo nozzle, cause I just use it to wash the cars. I was washing the front entry concrete, wife came by and asks how I like it, so I gave her the wand... She took over and was going to town on finishing that, annnnnnd the rest of the driveway! I am very happy with it, and would highly recommend. Enjoy. Oh and I didn't get this for free! I paid for it.

I have access to a gas pressure washer and have used it to strip paint off a driveway. But, for 99% of the things that I do, the gas model is simply overkill - it is heavy, loud and requires me to store gasoline in my garage. On the other hand, every electric pressure washer that I have owned has been junk, until this one. There are several reasons why I chose this unit. The pump, perhaps the most important moving part, is water cooled and made by AR or Italy, one of the most respected pump manufacturers in the world. The unit is then assembled in Singapore, which has a history of quality manufacturing. This unit is not "made in China" and that is important to me. It is also important that Michelin and Black and Decker relabel this washer and sell it under their brand names, a testimony to its quality. Finally, it is a Consumer Reports top choice. Out of the box, there was minimal assembly. It is heavy, probably because it is clearly well made. The design is very well considered. There are stubs on the handle for storing spray heads and one on the side (not shown in assembly instructions) for storing the rotary head. The spray gun fits perfectly in a holster and the power cord is wound around a set of stops. The hose reel has two lock downs for securing the hose, and they work. I'm a guy and I love tools, so I took this baby out for an immediate trial run. The original section of our dock had not been cleaned since it was built in 1999. I was black from caked on dirt. Using the rotary head, I went to work. It did a great job, removing 16 years of grime using water pressure only. I next did the paving stones leading to the dock; they also had not been cleaned in sixteen years. Again, the AR got them spotless. Like another poster suggested, a kick stand would be nice and maybe the option, for a few more dollars, to have sturdier, rubber wheels. Other than that, for almost anything that one needs to do around the house, this machine is perfect if not overkill.

Ordered the product to replace a 1650 psi unit that finally died after nearly 10 years of use. Struggled with this decision between gas and electric and when you read other reviews, you release that there is always someone that hates everything. After struggling and looking locally, I decided to purchase the AR Blue Clean AR390SS, which is 2000 psi model. I also purchased a few other accessories (like a hose extension, extra o-rings as I'll need them sooner or later and a snow lance) and the washer arrived one day after all the other accessories. I was worried about shipping damage, as that was mentioned by others. There was none. The original carton was in another carton which was in a box with essentially no packing. Assembled in a couple minutes and turned to washing a car. My old unit stopped cutting out the motor when the trigger was released, so I have to get used to that again. Always a good idea to purge the hose of air as that can be a temporary disruption if you hit an air pocket. I get more pressure from this unit that my previous Husky model but less fatigue. The stream is strong and the tips are easy to change out. The hose does retain some amount of the reel loops, but nothing unmanageable (like others said, don't pull the hose off the reel from a distance ...pull the hose off the reel before you start using it to prevent tipping). Tip: For those that need the power of gas, you should buy gas. Most household uses are handled sufficiently by a unit like this at the cost of a little more time and less chance to damage what you're cleaning. Electric units do not have the maintenance concerns like gas units do. Will 2000 work so much better than 1950? No. Better than 1700? Probably. But do I need 3000? Realistically, no. Product concerns: The clip that holds the top part of the wand doesn't always stay attached to the unit, so that needs to be pushed back on occasionally. Would be nice if there was a pocket for the GFCI/outlet block to store it easier. Overall, small items and will not keep me from using the product. I've had for a couple weeks and used twice (once to wash a car and once to clean a deck) and find the 25 degree tip and the turbo tip together make for a great combination. Would purchase again based on what I know now.

For home use, I think this is the best pressure washer for the money. I am extremely pleased with the AR390SS pressure washer. I have only had it three days, but have cleaned my concrete full length front porch, my gutters and vinyl awning, and have started on an enormous deck (48ft x 48ft surrounding a pool. What was I thinking?) The deck is in bad shape. It is 20 years old, and has not been kept up as it should have been, so very weathered and covered in black/grey. I painted it with Deck Restore a few years ago (don't ever buy this crap) and most of it came off. I am using the AR390SS to clean the deck, and it is working really better than I had expected. I have looked at a lot of videos on cleaning decks, and see some using a 15degree nozzle. The AR390SS has only a 25degree fan nozzle, so I have ordered a 15degree. With the 25degree, I have to get pretty close to the wood to get it clean, and I have started using OxiClean mix to help break it up. The AR390SS has a detergent tank, but the detergents that won't harm the sprayer are pretty worthless, and you should NOT use OxiClean mix in this tank. I use a brush and bucket to put down the Oxi wash, let it sit 10 minutes, then use an old floor scrubber with natural brushes to scrub it before washing it off with the sprayer. Better, but still won't come clean unless I work on about a 3inch strip each pass (very close to the wood). I'm sure that I am taking off a bit of the soft wood, but plan to paint the deck with KILZ Interior/Exterior Enamel Porch & Patio Latex Floor Paint, which has very good reviews, even a few years after it is applied. Update 07/19/2018: I have used this pressure washer for everything. Cleaning my concrete patios, porches and sidewalk. Cleaning vinyl siding. Cleaning gutters, fascia, and trim. Cleaning my deck and privacy fence has taken me a LOT longer than I had expected (my fault due to years of neglect and a freaking huge deck) so it was a good move on my part to buy this instead of renting one. This paid for itself in two days (vs renting). I still, after a month of nearly daily use, highly recommend this pressure washer. I use the 15 degree nozzle that I bought separately for every job. I don't think the 25 degree would have done the trick. I have used the soap nozzle, and it works fine for spraying cleaner onto the deck/fence. Note: If the washer stops working, check the reset button on the plug. I have accidentally tripped it twice while plugging it into the wall outlet outside.

I was looking for a pressure washer to speed up my weekly car wash routine. I purchased a Torq foam cannon from Chemical Guys (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OA66IG0/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_7) and needed a pressure washer. I did a lot of research on if I needed gas or electric to make the Torq foam cannon work properly. After I looked at all the options I decided to roll the dice and go electric and feel it was the right way to go. Some say the electric pressure washer's just don't work well enough to produce the massive suds that the Torq foam cannon is capable of....I thought this one did just fine! Pulled this unit right out of the box and went to work. Took about 5 minutes to assemble and I didn't have to hunt down any special attachments for the Torq foam cannon that I see other people having to do with other pressure washers. Some claim the hose reel is a little cheap feeling and doesn't work properly. It worked just fine for me just need to take your time when you wind it up and guide it. It has nice little attachment points for all the fittings so they won't get lost. And I had NO leaks at all. The hose is a little stiff but I will deal with it for now. Might look into changing it out for a more flexible hose but the hose if fine for now....it didn't kink on me.

I’ve owned multiple pressure washers both in the US and Europe. And so far this is the best I’ve come across. The build quality is very good, the connections are solid and feel like they’ll last. The plastics are strong compared to other brands I have tried. The hose reel is a little annoying when it comes to unwinding, but extremely handy for keeping it all tidy when putting away. Though when buying a pressure washer all I really care about is the performance. And this doesn’t disappoint. At my house, our water pressure is not great, so I’ve struggled finding a good pressure washer with low GPM with a higher PSI. Though this has been amazing. It takes a few minutes to get the air bubbles out and truly perform but that’s an issue with our water not the unit. The nozzles all work well as intended and when paired with a foam lance, it’s great. The lance hose is a perfect length to navigate the entire outside of a large SUV. No dragging the unit round the car to get all the areas. For patios etc, the dirt buster nozzle provide excellent cleaning, get those stains off with minimal passes. Highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a pressure washer to perform all domestic task - cars, garden and home.

WOW. I spent about 9 hours on the internet reading reviews about dozens of pressure washers. None had perfect five stars in my price range of up to $300.00 but this unit had the cooled motor and the pump that could take suction directly from a barrel or pond. I will never use that capability but it told me that the pump could run dry momentarily without burning up like most of the other pressure washers. As others noted, it is a tall unit, like many others on the market and the heavy reel and hose are at the top..making it important to watch how you pull on the hose to prevent it tipping over. It IS a little awkward to roll the hose back up - I found the best way was to position myself at the back of the unit, put my stomach against the top handle to brace the unit and use one hand to operate the reel and the other to guide the hose onto the reel. Note: I had no trouble assembling the unit as to me it was obvious where/how everything went together ( however, I DID read the instructions anyway! ). If PROPERLY assembled, there is no leakage where the garden hose attaches. Because of experience with other pressure washers down through the years, I turned on the garden hose and bled the air out by holding the wand trigger till water comes out. THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD RECOMMEND THIS as it keeps wear and tear down on the pump!!!! ONLY THEN do I plug it in. Many electric pressure washers cannot be run continuously as the motor will overheat and burn up [ limited duty cycle, causing the operator to have to wash for a few min then 'rest' and cool the motor for a few min ] so the cooled motor meant I could start blasting and just keep washing!!! I have used the washer for over 20 hours use now and for an electric it does a fine job.. I have cleaned automobile wheels, B-B-Q pit, cinder block walls, red brick patios and my large driveway/sidewalk with excellent results. No problem with the soap tank, it dispensed the Simple Green + Oxyclean mixture { Note: pre-dissolve in advance so no powder is present before putting into tank or it will clog it up } and removed all algae(bricks and walls), mold(on wood deck) and oil stains. Used to wash the gutters on my house eves too. So far, seems to be a good choice...

Okay this is an update as of 3/10/2016: In my original review I said I would have given it 5 stars if it was as described. They finally got it right so here's the 5 stars. I'm now in possession of the new and improved hose and spray gun and it is a night-and-day difference, No more kinks or twists that won't work out. No more junky wire lock to keep the hose in the gun. And mostly, no more coil memory in the new hose. I installed the new hose in a 40-degree morning and it laid out straight. The positive connection for the hose to the gun is now screw in and seals great. If I could have them change one more thing it would be to add a kickstand or something to help make it less tippy. As to AR. Jeez, what an amazing company to deal with. Unlike many manufacturers who seem to have an out-the-door-and-done mentality AR was amazingly interested in feedback. More importantly, they took that feedback and did something with it to greatly improve this product. AR is probably the best company I've ever dealt with in terms of customer support and customer response. Very nice working with them. Original review: If the pressure washer had been as described I'd give it 5 stars but there are 3 serious issues that aren't as described by the manufacturer. First, the hose is a piece of junk, not the "Upgraded braided hose for less kinks" in the description. Imagine the cheap clear vinyl hose from your local hardware store with some reinforcing to handle the pressure. This stuff will not pull straight, keeps trying to coil itself back up, and you end up fighting loops to work. Plus the force the hose exerts leads to problem number two: this thing tips over real easily. I have yet to be able to unreel the hose without holding the unit upright while I fight the coils of hose off the reel. Once the hose is off the reel all the force is at the reel which is at the top so a slight tug on the hose tips the thing over which leads to problem number three: everything is on one side of the unit. When it tips front all of the force of the fall is concentrated on the water hose connection. The first time it happened I was lucky to be using a cheap hose which just pulled out of the connector threads. Come on AR, add some feet to the front of this thing, it wouldn't add $1 to your cost. Lesser problems include the snap-in wand holder falling out when the wand is removed. (There are three user installed pieces, two of which are screwed in. The wand holder really needs a screw too. Also the soap is dispensed much (MUCH) faster than the 10:1 ratio stated in the instructions. Even at the lowest setting you'll suck a pint of soap out of the dispenser in about two minutes. Also, you better make sure the water input is completely air free or the pump will start screaming at you. So why am I keeping mine? Because the machine itself is great. The quick connects work and don't leak. The nozzles swap out quickly (helps to rinse off all that excess soap). And once the air is out of the supply line the thing pumps out the water. I was able to clean three years worth of algae, moss and lichen off a greenhouse without scrubbing. Even with a hand wash it takes about 15 min to wash a car. Now if I can just figure out how to keep it from tipping over. UPDATE: 11/28/2015 - So another problem has cropped up re: the hose. It no longer locks into the spray gun securely. It won't blow off so it is catching on the locking wires but when I turn it on water shoots out everywhere. I'm pulling a star because I don't like getting soaked. Bottom line: now I have to buy a better hose and a new spray gun. I should have just spent the money on a better unit when I bought this and saved all the hassle.

I used this pressure washer to clean the moss and crud off and out of my brick paver porch, deck, and walkways. It was easy to assemble and get running. It was slow work which took days but the washer was adequate to the task. Of course a gas powered washer would be more powerful but also much more expensive to buy a good one. It blasted the moss and sand out of the cracks so I could replace it with Perma-sand. It cleaned the bricks off okay but again, took some time. I found that the reel for the sprayer hose was pointless and I didn't use it after I uncoiled the hose. I just made big loops and hung it from the handle with a releasable cable tie.The reel is so small that it makes too tight of coils in the hose and turns it into a spring! They could perhaps lower the price a few dollars by eliminating that useless contraption and the extra complication of the connections; just more to go wrong. Between the long electric cord and the spray hose it reaches fairly far. I bought a 15 foot 14/3 extension cord for some extra length. It didn't hurt it. The sprayer trigger doesn't have a lock on it (probably for safety reasons), so I rigged one up using a releasable cable tie (handy things). Your hand can get mighty tired squeezing that thing for a long time. I bought a quick connect hose connector but had to modify it so it would screw into the unit's hose connector. I had to trim the unthreaded end portion of the quick connector off (Why make them that way? Dumb.) so the unit's hose coupler could grab enough threads to attach the quick-connect to the unit WITH THE SCREENED WASHER IN PLACE. That was the only "engineering" I had to do. I fooled around with the soap dispenser bottle and nozzle but it doesn't seem to be something I would use that much. Perhaps I will try it on the car this summer... but cold water, which is all you can use in this washer, isn't much good for getting things really clean. It will work for getting the first coat of mud/dirt off, for sure. All in all for the price it has good power and seems to be well built. Don't forget to squeeze the trigger and get the water flowing through the unit after connecting the hose and turning on the water... BEFORE turning the pump on! Happy blasting!

Well, Having owned a older Husky 1700psi unit (HomeDepot), and then the new Ryobi 2000psi unit(HomeDepot)..... I love this thing!! PROS: -Easy to get going. Literally, 2 screws, and that's it for assembly. -Easy on the curcuit. The Ryobi caused a UPS unit to go bad...I don't know how, but it was on that curcuit. Perhaps it would have gone bad anyway? -QUIET! Wow...I can use this anytime of the day or night with no worries of the neighbor blinking an eye! Its got a low wind up sound to the motor, not a piston loud sputtering sound. Excellent lance/wand with ZERO wabble. The Ryobi was of poor quality as it didn't attach to the gun in a confident nor straight manner and wiggled. Though the hose on this sucks, its stiff and needs a complete roll out before using. (Same with the Husky that had the twist connect lance.) -OK storage rack. This is a bit bare, but it does the job, and better than not having one. -Long hose for the gun. This I can't stress enough. Once you have a longer car or SUV, you won't know until you need the reach. Most others are 20-25ft. this is 30ft, and its great to reach the back of a longer car without moving the unit. -Hose was not so bad to unravel as I read in some reviews. No its not straight and does take some care....But I guess you never used the Ryobi which IS a pain. My other unit didn't even have a hose reel or holder. SO that was bad..BUT not as bad as Ryobi, as it had a reel ONLY for storage which made it very hard to use, and you have to disconnect the hose from unit and gun. But still this hose is stiff, and kinks. -Quick connect is a TRUE quick connect, where once you release the tip it stays open to accept another, so its a one hand operation. You don't have to use one hand to pull back the ring, you JUST snap in. To disconnet, you need to hold the tip or else you can manage with one hand.I spray it with lithium grease every so often. -Simple dummy proof design. You have an On-Off and the soap setting. -Amount of water to actually clean! This was good compared to past units. The Ryobi was a 1.2 and this was noticably faster cleaning. I guess the PSI may not make a big difference from say 1900 to 2000, but the gpm do make a difference in the small numbers. -Light weight. Can carry when needed up some steps and such. -Decent gun holder. -Nice touch with a foot support for reeling in the hose, or pulling it out. -Has a couple extra spots on the rear for a longer wand and thin accessories. Not enough for a foam gun, but, its nice to have. -No leaks with the aluminum hose connect. I might add a quick connect to this, but its just a few threads, and my hose tip is a bit abused, so thats the only part that dribbled some water out. May need a new gasket. CONS: -A kick stand of some sort to safe guard from tipping it over when pulling on it. I recommend you pull out all the hose and then work. Not pull out as needed. Just take it all out from the get go. This way you wont want to pull on it. -Is it 2000psi? Using the 0degree tip is the max I think. This is what felt a bit iffy. I tried to get old paint off the brick and it did. I tried on concrete and had mixed results. Some came off, some didn't. I used it on a metal door with a UV coating on it. Some came off most didn't. Areas that were flaking did. -Some of the upper plastic feels a bit less durable. As well as the reel winding handle. They do feel sturdy enough now, but I do wonder how it will be 3 yrs down the line. They may hold up just fine. BUT the Ryobi was setup on a steel frame and things were super solid. *(Updated)-The water hose is very stiff even after many uses Out of a 126 reviews as of this review, there were about 15 or so people who had bad units. Most that AR quickly corrected and noted in the review. Others don't know as there is no feedback. LONG TERM POSSIBLE ISSUES as REPORTED: There was a couple, at least, reports that the reel handle broke. Another couple that the wand holder broke, also of the foot step breaking, and the BIGGEST problem with 1 report was for the hose inline that connects to the body breaking. The owner fixed it and has posted a couple pictures of his fix. Same with the wand holder, the owner used a longer screw to patch it up. I really can't think of anything else to add for now, as I just used it, and will update as I get more familiar with it AND, most importantly see how the soap feature works. Am I up for a disappointing low pressure spray, or? As a user said it can be used at any pressure, but it has a soap tip, and maybe limited to this tip's pressure output.
