If you are a puzzle fanatic like me, I suggest purchasing. It comes with 4 drawers and enough space on top to hold a 1500 piece puzzle. The drawers are especially nice if you like to categorize pieces. There are two small downfalls: 1 - When you need to store puzzle (while constructing it) you have to put it flat somewhere with this much space (see size below). Approx. total board size: 36" x 27" Approx. individual drawer size: 16 1/4" x 10 3/4" 2 - One drawer doesn't come out as easy, I think the top board is slightly warped, but it doesn't interfere with putting the puzzle together, and you can get the drawer out with slight pressure. I've tried other puzzle mats where you have to build them on a piece of felt (which isn't flat) and then have to roll it up and construct a plastic center - and puzzle won't stay together while being stored. This is by far the best puzzle keeper I've found!

What a wonderful idea! Our table arrived in perfect shape with very adequate packaging. The drawers have small magnets that hold them in place allowing you to move the table freely without fear of drawers falling out. It's small things like this that make this table so wonderful! Such a great product and well worth the price! Don't hesitate to give it a try. :) Note: We purchased the large size which PERFECTLY accommodated a 1500 piece puzzle.

I got this for my wife after she found it on the Bits and Pieces web site and I checked Amazon for it. It was packaged well and there was even a bonus in the packing I will explain below. The quality of the workmanship is excellent and you would pay a carpenter a lot for something similar. We had considered trying to make one, but from a time and cost perspective, this product is highly effective. I was going to cut the inner box to act as a cover. As I was getting the stuff out of the box, there was a piece of cardboard the same size as the puzzle board. We simply lay the cardboard on it and then the cat can't get the pieces or mess up the work. The only concern I have is damage from water like condensation from a cup beside it. I may spray the pieces with clear Rustoleum or Krylon.

We recently rediscovered the fun of working puzzles and decided to set up a puzzle station so we could have a puzzle going most of the time - for us and for guests - one we could put away when we need the extra space for seating. We don't plan to travel with the board. We shopped & decided this item best met our needs with respect to size, appearance and functionality. Straight out of the box, with no modifications, we loved it. Because our family room isn't brightly lit, we picked up a clamp-based magnifying lamp and clamped it to the frame of the board. Then, we got a swivel TV stand Convenience Concepts 191034 XL 2-Tier TV Swivel Board for Flat Panel TV's up to 32-Inch or 60-Pounds. When it's just us working the puzzle from a couch, we use only the (very convenient) swivel base. But, when we have a group working the puzzle, we put the top shelf on to raise the puzzle (about 9") - making it comfortable for those sitting in chairs. We had a little wooden easel in a closet and it works perfectly to hold the box lid so we can see what we're trying to make. Even with the modifications, in matter of seconds we can dismantle the station and tuck it away under a couch or bed. Finally, while the drawers are perfectly functional, we've found it's better for us to put smaller "trays" in the drawers so we can share color/shape/area sets without having to pull the large drawers out, completely. The "trays" are the lids to some collapsible organizing boxes (CD sized) we had on hand. Oh - this board isn't big enough for some of the oddly shaped puzzles or most puzzles over 1000 pieces, but, it ships with an easy fix. It's packed between two fairly sturdy corrugated sheets. We taped the two sheets together on the long edge - giving us a working area of about 52" x 35". We slide it into the edged-corner of the puzzle board for support and have plenty of space to work almost any puzzle we'd want to work - then we fold it and slip it behind the couch when we don't need the larger space. We are very pleased with this purchase.

This got to my door unscratched, un dented and even more beautiful than it appears online. Its heavy wood and well bulit (ingenious) 4 drawers to categorize each puzzle piece! It's huge, but This means that when you move your puzzle around to get out of the way or out if the room, the surface will not bend or slide around. The 4 drawers can even be removed so that you can have all the pieces available AND they do not take up space on the board! The drawers are big enough so that specific pieces can be found much faster! Whether you want to do puzzles as an addictive distraction for yourself or your family, this thing makes it much more accessible and less of a drag.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! (and that's saying a lot! He's so damn picky!!) The quality is great. Well built. Strong. Very smooth surfaces. And the drawers are great! Be careful when you move this cuz if you tilt it to get thru doorways the drawers will slide right out. So if you need to tilt it be aware of this or pull the drawers out first. The biggest puzzle we've done was 1000 pieces and with the drawers it fit just fine. But keep in mind my husband builds the frame first and doesn't like loose pieces inside the frame. (...told you he was picky) So that meant all the loose pieces had to fit in the drawers and that still worked fine. So given this I'm sure a 1500 piece puzzle will work for most. We plan on taking this to our cabin in the mountains and I'm guessing we'll come home with half built puzzles. So I kept the box it came in and the cardboard that will fit on top inside the box. Our plan is to put it in the trunk and lay our soft luggage on top. It looks like that will work fine. Time will tell. But so far we are thrilled with this. Well worth the price.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents. They love it! They do puzzles all winter long, there is always a puzzle on the dinning room table. This is great because they can move the puzzle easily whenever they need to use the dinning room table or if they would rather work the puzzle in the living room in front of the fireplace. And the sorting drawers are great. For larger puzzles they used to have multiple TV trays around the table used to sort the pieces. Now they use the drawers instead. Totally recommend this if you or anyone you know is a big fan or puzzles. It comes in one box completely assesmbled. Ready to go straight out of the box.

The puzzle table is well made with a generous 26.5 x 35.5 inches. It has two ledges that help contain puzzle pieces from falling over the edge. Four roomy drawers provide storage for sorted puzzle pieces while you enjoy using the flat surface to put together your puzzle pieces. I am really glad I spent the money for this item. It would be useful for giving as a gift for birthdays or Christmas. When the weather outside is frightful, the puzzle table inside is delightful!

Purchased as a gift. Great puzzle board, fairly sturdy construction, although we had to fix one edge on one of the two we purchased. I was trying to find a board that would hold at least a 2000 piece puzzle as well as the shaped ones and this one isn't quite big enough. I came up with some adjustments that make it great for any size puzzle. I purchased two and had my husband hinge them together. He also added an edge to the edge that didn't have one, pads so that it doesn't scratch the table, a lock for when it's folded, and some leather handles for carrying either when closed or for moving while open with an active puzzle. My Mom now has a board for any size puzzle that has 8 drawers for pieces. She loves it!

If you and or your kids do puzzles, you need this table. PERIOD. The biggest problem with puzzles is the time they take to play and the puzzle being in the way. We place this on the coffee table, and then when we need to move it, we have a place to put it out of the way, we can then come back to the puzzle later. ALSO, if you play board games that take a long time to play, this works well. If you are thinking about buying one, make sure you get this bigger one to support your average puzzle size, and the ability to arrange pieces. I don't think the smaller one would work. It is worth the extra $20.
