These work great. The only thing I did to improve them is that I cut a piece of plastic canvas to fit in the bottom of each one so that completed sections of the puzzle can be easily lifted out and added to the main puzzle when ready. The way they stack inside each other is very convenient for access, and space saving. The fact that they are different colors is good, too, because it helps you identify which pieces are sorted to which tray. The largest one works as a lid if you aren't using it for sorting, also.

Great idea, works great!
I was skeptical about this, as they are just really cardboard boxes and there is no lid for it all. (I seemed to think I should have something higher quality, but gave it a try anyway for the price). However, I must say they have worked absolutely wonderfully for sorting pieces and keeping them in a compact space! With all the pieces sorted into each box, you can still stack them one inside the other. For a lid on the top puzzle box I just put a piece of cardboard a bit smaller than the top box inside of it. I wouldn't tip it upside down, but it keeps everything organized and dust free in a compact space. These truly are handy to have and are perfect for the price. Lesson learned: cardboard does not mean it is any less in quality and function!

Great puzzle sorter and storer!
This has turned out to be a great puzzle assist. Because of my cats and the size of my puzzle table, I can't leave all the pieces of a 1000-piece puzzle out on the table. This allows me to sort in some kind of logical manner, and lets me put things away easily and restore them easily when it's time to work on the puzzle again. I couldn't be more pleased.

Sort and Stack - Perfect Sorter
This review is for the White Mountain Puzzle Sorter Wonderful way to sort puzzle pieces. Sorters stack on top of each other, nested style, when you are not working on your puzzle. The sorters are basically lids to boxes. Not very deep, but deep enough to keep pieces from sliding or falling out. There are six different sized sorters at this extremely affordable price. I have seen similar cardboard sorters at 3x the price, nothing could make them worth that. When I sort pieces I use the six sorters and the top and bottom parts of the puzzle box. I find it perfect for my sorting needs. I would be happy to purchase another set if I get into much larger puzzles. The purchase price also included a 'mystery puzzle' I received an attractive animal themed 500 piece puzzle made by White Mountain.

Two years of use and it's the absolute best!
Here's a puzzle for you...how can you complete a puzzle when you live in a small home with 3 children under age 4?! THIS!!! This puzzle sorter is amazing! The best part for me is that everything nests into the box and can be stored away. So the storage simply looks like a puzzle box! This came with a bonus puzzle too which was nice even though the puzzle I received wasn't within my personal style. I don't get a lot of time to do a puzzle but I can pick up right where I've left off. This is the best puzzle piece sorter and storage for that reason!

Highly recommend
I love these boxes!!!! For the money you can't beat them especially when you get a great puzzle along with the set. They are easy to stack and I can put the cover on.....that is if I don't have any puzzle parts in it. I try to keep the top empty, but if you stack them with the smallest one on top, you can always cover them with something. The other thing I like about them is that they don't take up much room, so you can spread them out or put one inside the other to save space.

Easier to sort in than the little trays
I like the size of these trays. I find the little puzzle shaped trays you usually see at the craft store are too small to be practical. With these trays, you can actually start putting parts of the puzzle together in the tray. I often find myself resorting to sorting in old puzzle boxes, and that's essentially what these are. The surprise puzzle that came with it was a nice little bonus, though it was actually so easy, I didn't even really need to use the sorting trays. Go figure.

Puzzle time!
We do puzzles regularly and we sort the pieces by colors when we start. It takes up a great deal of space and when the piece you pick doesn't fit where you hoped it rarely gets put back where it came from. So the sorting has to be done every couple of days. With this set of boxes I hope to fix both problems. After sorting into the boxes they can be stacked up saving space on the table. When the piece doesn't fit you put it back in the box it came out of, hopefully.

It is so good to be able to sort the pieces into different box lids and then stack them all together when you are done working on it. I have cats and am nervous about leaving my puzzle pieces sorted on the table -- this way when I am done, I stack them all together, and put them on top of the puzzle I am working on, then cover the whole thing with a blanket -- very convenient to keep curious kitties from destroying my work!

Helpful puzzle accessory.
I justified this purchase as it would be the cost of the "next puzzle" my wife and I will do together. It's a nice inclusion, not all sorters include a puzzle to work on. You could cut up boxes yourself and make your own. But If you just think of it as a free accessory to the puzzle you paid for, you'll feel better. I really like how the boxes nest inside each other. It makes storage of incomplete puzzle prices really nice. The included puzzle isn't bad. It feels like it was pulled from a QA reject bin. The pieces don't all seem to be cut through. There was a piece missing, but I am unsure if I just lost it myself. I would buy another one if I had larger puzzles to complete. Spoiler. My included puzzle was a 500 piece collage of hotel signs.
