Nice Looking Replacement
Some Dorman Aftermarket parts can be Iffy and junky looking, but this replacement Shift Lever Boot feels and looks really well made, and the price here on Amazon save me $ verses the Dealer and local parts stores who want anywhere from $25.00 up to $30.00. Price here on Amazon $15.70. Advance Auto Parts wanted $27.00 for the very same one. I would like to add some words of advice to those of you who need to replace your (Combination Switch Aka Turn Signal/Cruise Control Malfunction Switch or the Shift Lever Boot) the upper and Lower Steering Column Covers are made from "Cheap Brittle Plastic that have fragile locking Tabs that you need to get just right to snap them back together to lock them together, If your Dealer or anyone else has removed them before, be forewarned that the life span of the Plastic Tabs is iffy, Which means you may need to purchase new ones.

Nice Part, but a difficult fix, so proceed accordingly.
Seems to be more substantial than the original. Can be a very challenging piece to get on and fit, so buyer beware. Most times GMC's and Chevy's have identical solutions to problems, but this is one of those rare times when the screws, bolts, body work varies between models with identical years. For example I have a 2001 GMC Yukon XL and there are no screws or bolts holding the steering column cover together. Normally you unscrew those pieces and fit this boot. Some SUV / truck owners may have the screws, some may not, I would suggest investigating your model and how you're going to get this on before you buy.

Cool boot replacement
Great product. Was a little stumped at first as to how installtion was to proceed. This boot was simply slipped over the column shifter. And attached to the upper and lower pieces of the column covers. I had thought to remove the shift lever and cabling. But cabling ran through the column downward to the floor board. Once slipped over. It retained its shape and working fine. No problems. Thanks for a great product!

Good product for a Great Price!
Not much to say here? The Boot went on well but streched a bit but that is to be expected. I'm happy with this new one as the old one was split and just looked bad. One hint, use a little light oil or other lubricant to stretch it over the shift lever if you put it on that way as most people will do. Thanks for a Great product!

Great
A bit tricky to install, definately need to remove the lower column cover. Otherwise great replacement. Dont be afraid to carefully stretch the opening to fit over the end of the shifter, it will retuen after a day or so and fit tight again.

Exact fit. Very easy to install, tool less 10mins. Was skeptical thinking this would spilt, but the rubber seems pretty solid. As other reviewers have stated, use dish soap to get it to slide on the shifter.

Fast shipping and easy to install!
I think its just as good as OEM. Thick material that feels like it will stand the test of time. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of it.

It’s good
It came in early, I installed it after my truck got stolen so my steering colon was a little broken n loose. It’s real flimsy and it ripped a little bit but I didn’t care at least it’s not showing all the wires n stuff , this is just for now till I order everything but good quality

Fit like OEM
Fit perfect on my 01 GMC Yukon Denali. Now when you slide it over the shifter take it slow and warm up the rubber(warm day or place in sun on dash for a little bit) .

Like O.E.M.
Works like a dream. Just be very careful on disassembling the steering column components there made of cheap plastics. GM Junk!
