Buy it don't hesitate!
I should have purchased this a long time ago. Holds your sharpening Stone in place much better than I expected. Best part is it raises the stone up Enough where you don't have to worry about dragging your knuckles across your table or countertop. However if you are doing the technique probably you shouldn't have to worry about that anyways. Experts own these and if you are a beginner this should help with your Technique. Beginners don't give up it took me a half a year before I could properly sharpen a knife. Start with the cheap knives and work your way up. I am not a expert yet! But I have been at it for nearly two years. Just some humble advice. Sincerely knife geek! Update! Over a year and a half has gone by and no rust! All you need to do is when you're done take it completely apart dry it and reassemble it afterwards. Spray a little WD-40 wipe off the excess and you'll be all set for next use.

Excellent product! EXCELLENT!
I very rarely rave about a product! Thus sharpening stone holder is fantastic! Very well designed and manufactured. It allows me to quickly and easily swap out different size and grits. I can go from my 8X3 water stones to my 2X6 diamond plates by spinning the knurled adjustment knobs open, remove the first stone quickly make my adjustments to the new stone and I'm back at it. The all stainless and rubber allow me to immerse the holder and stone while mounted, the rubber grips whatever surface I'm working on well. Whether I'm reprofiling a blade with an aggressive stone or doing fine touch ups this provides a solid stable base to work on. It also facilitates hand held use quite well. I have been using this for nearly a month and LOVE IT!

Solid and well built
Top quality products always give a great first impression , and this stone holder is a top quality product. Even before opening , my first impression of the box it comes in was , hmm.. this is a nice box ! That's always a good sign because top quality products always come in nice boxes. After I opened the box and pulled out the stone holder , I knew right away all the five star reviews were correct. It's solid, well built, and attractive. The first stone I put in it was my Chosera 1000. The rubber adjustment pad snuggled right up to the stone perfectly and the adjustment screws spun smoothly to tighten it in place. The stone holders rubber feet holds it in place very nicely , and it elevates the stone from whatever surface you set it on the perfect amount to allow plenty of room for your fingers ...... with proper care I can see this lasting many many years . A top-notch stone holder =)

Works great for Diamond and Ceramic stones
I used this for hold various dry stones for sharpening and honing my knives. It grips the stone and the table well, but I had some issue with moving the adjustable rubber grip, but I solved that with some super lube (Vaseline probably will work the same). The grease/Vaseline trick might also work for others who find the rods rusting when used with water.

Great Stone Holder!
I haven't used it much yet - the rubber does not stink on mine even a little which is great. It is heavy and grips the table wonderfully with the rubber bottom. I spray it with a bit of wd40 now and then to help avoid rusting. It will rust a but under the nuts etc but it's easily wiped clean. I use a rubber pet food pat to set it on, on top of a rag/towel, and this setup is working great for me. Everything grips the table top thanks to the pet food mat, and no mess, also thanks to the pet food mat.

Pretty much lifechanging if you do a lot of sharpening
Years of sharpening on anti-slip pads and rubber legs had left me grumpy concerning the subject of anchoring my stones. I needed a new waterstone so I finally caved and bought this too. Pretty much lifechanging if you do a lot of sharpening. Yes, the rubber does stink pretty bad. It was still noticeable when I opened my tool bag months after I had bought it. It seems to have mostly faded now, about 8 months later. BUT IT WORKS SO WELL. GOD. Just like a rock. It doesn't budge on anything I've set it on. REALLY a nice little holder performance wise.

I definitely feel like this item has enhanced my sharpening experience
I definitely feel like this item has enhanced my sharpening experience. Before i got this, my set up was to just put a whetstone in a sheet pan or something similar to catch the water and a side towel under the stone, and another shelf liner or damp towel under the sheet pan; the problem with that was the edges of the pan would limit my mobility. This stone holder raises the stone high enough to give my hands and knife the clearance they need to move freely. I got around this for a while by folding the towel under the stone a couple times but the fibers would compress over time and the resulting swarf absolutely ruins towels. I haven't tried the more expensive version of this and so far I see no reason not to. Some people have reported rust forming, so I always make sure to dry it off with a clean towel; I move the screws to dry under those as best as I can and so far haven't seen any. A great alternative for those who can't or don't want to build a sink brindge.

Perfect at the price. Get two.
Compared to the other offerings, on Amazon at least, this is the only way to go in my opinion. I have owned a strikingly similar stone holder that was priced nearly 3 times this and was no better and in fact while claiming to be stainless steel was actually showing rust within the first couple of uses even after drying with care. This one has not but as it is **strikingly** (read: exactly) similar to the aforementioned holder, I wouldn’t be all too surprised if some corrosion shows up but at the price it’s a no brainer.

very well built sharpening stone holder
this stone holder is very well built . I bought this stone holder for my king kds model wet stone. it holds my stone perfectly in place. now I can sharpen my knives at a comfortable height with a good holder that will prevent the stone from moving around. I recommend placing a damp microfiber towel underneath the holder for greater stability. do not hesitate to order this holder if you plan to sharpen your knives on wet stones this is a great holder at a great price.

Great product for a great price!
This item is perfect for holding just about any kind of whetstone, sharpening stone, or diamond sharpening stone. You can adjust it to just about any size. It also grips to the surface really well. I've played around with a couple of different ways of securing my stones. This by far seems to be the most practical, and versatile. Again this might not be for everyone, since sharpening has a lot of personalized touch to it. However I find this works perfectly for me. would highly recommend for anyone getting into sharpening knives.
