As a mom of six, with my oldest being 23, I feel I know a thing or 2 about baby products. When looking for a swing for baby six, I was worried that the new type swings where baby lies in a cradle wouldn't last very long. I was looking for something small, but also with a style like the old swings that were a seat rather than a cradle. This swing absolutely fit the bill. I have had this for 3 months now and use it every day. It was good for my 2 month old, and I am confident it will still be a favorite at 7 months. To address some other reviews, yes, most of the time I have to give the swing a little nudge to get going, but once going, it never stops unless baby starts to kick too hard. But even then, once baby stops lucking, swing picks up again. I also noticed that when baby was 2 months I couldn't go past first setting, but now at 4 months and 14 pounds we need setting 2, sometimes 3. So although at first I thought it was crazy that they even had six settings, I now understand that it is a weight thing. I do wish the toys that came attached to it were colored a little more vibrantly, or at least attached so they could be switched out. We do however, hang better toys from the straps for baby. Although I be ER use sound on any baby equipment, when we tried the music out I was totally impressed. My older children and I joke that baby has surround sound. The sounds on this swing are really really good. Overall I am extremely happy with this swing!!!

I bought this as a gift for my sister. I was a little surprised she requested this since she usually goes for more expensive items. After her baby shower, I realized this would be a second swing! She had a bigger, bulkier, glider swing. I thought she was crazy but she said this swing would be for upstairs. I didn’t consider how practical a smaller swing would be until I had my second baby. I also had a bulky glider swing that stayed in the living room, plugged into an outlet. It was difficult to find time to shower, really do anything, with a newborn and a four year old who thinks she has a real life doll. So I got the same swing (in a different color)and it’s been a life saver for me. She’s swinging away happily while do what ever I need to. It’s also been handy for when we camp in our RV. It folds flat for easy storage. Really, one of my favorite baby items!

This was perfect for my 3 month old baby with reflux. It sits him up at a perfect angle for milk drinking. The soothing vibration is a definite plus and works while its swinging not only in seat mode as they demonstrate in the instructions. Easy to assemble and takes up no more space than a bouncer. Brings several different swing speeds but I haven't had the need to use it above speed 3, the higher ones really take off and I'm assuming it's to compensate for a heavier baby (mine is 15 lbs now). Super soft material with thick padding which is why I threw away his $200 full size swing because the hard plastic bucket seat was giving him flat head. I move it all around the house as I do my chores. He was intrigued by the dangling birds at arms reach but I can easily add a more colorful toy on the bar above. It takes 4 C batteries that I buy from the dollar store. Will update how long they last. I've been using the swing about 5 hours a day for 3 days so far.

This is my first baby and my first baby swing. I saw some of the negative reviews here but I wanted to give it a try. After all how complex can a baby swing be? So I will try and help those who are looking for an inexpense solution to baby crying and to give your arms a rest. Hands down this thing works. It's not made out of titanium and steel, it's plastic and aluminum and it snaps togeather in about 10 minutes. Easy to assemble instructions included. This swings and vibrates and plays music. The swing speed is adjustable. The music volume is adjustable. There are 4 sounds for baby. 1 music that has several songs that rotate every 10-15 minutes. I personally like it. It's not a bose sound system but for the need it's perfect. It relaxes me and the baby. It has 2 different nature sounds with birds which is the theme since it has hanging little birds for baby to see. It also has a shhh sound which is constant. It runs on 4 C batteries. The battery lasts long enough. It's better than having a cord because this is foldable and portable. That said it does. Not plug in to the wall. Rechargeable C batteries are a must. I would say you need 8 rechargeable batteries with charger and a small Philip screwdriver to supplement this baby swing. While you have 4 batteries going you have 4 charging so you always have them. The screw driver is to remove the battery holder with 2 screws. People complain about this and I do see why. If the company upgrades this swing it's the only thing they should change. It should be a door with no screws needed but it's not a deal breaker. I realized you only need put in the screws very little to hold making the batteries easier to replace. Keep the small screw driver near the swing or atttach it with a string and or Velcro and it will always be handy. If my baby cries in it I will sit in front and talk to him while it swings. It sits low people complained but to me that just makes it safer, if for some reason the planets align and it breaks you baby bottom will fall about 6 inches to the floor. You can place a cushion under if you feel paranoid about that but I doubt that will happen. With higher swings I'd be scared so I see it as a benifit. You can also set it on a table for closer viewing. It don't stop all crying but it helps a lot for us. After your baby outgrows this which i think is 25 lbs this will be a hand me down or in the recycling bin. It doesn't pay for most working folks to pay $200 for a swing. This has all you need and more to get the job done. I highly recommend it.

With 3 kids I still try to maintain my house identity and not have it look like babies r us exploded everywhere. I intentionally look for baby items that are travel size or some sort of design that will blend in. This swing is no exception to my rule, it is small but more sturdy that others. The top bar is very strong that I am able to carry baby in one hand and lift swing with other to move to different areas in the house. Baby seems very pleased with this swing. I've had larger swings in the past and am really confused why I felt the need for such a large swing, this one is perfect and has all the same functions.

Our twins LOVE these swings and so do we. We purchased 2 and they are extremely sturdy, well made, support our babies heads perfectly (some swings either have no head support or the infants chins are touching their chests) and the design is beautiful!! Goes perfect in our living room. I love that you can lock these in place. It has been a lifesaver because I feed our twins in these when my husband isn't home to feed one twin. We would definitely purchase these all over again!! Thank you Fisher-Price!!

After thinking I HAD to have the Mamaroo, I spent hundreds on a very attractive swing that my baby HATED! We decided we should try a traditional back and forth swing instead of the side to side/up and down on the Mamaroo. And we are much happier with this one. It has very nice colors and isn't obnoxious in style like some others are. My son likes to sit up straight in it and look around for awhile, but then slowly his eyes start to close and he ends up asleep in it. I like that it has a vibrate function also and that can be used along with the swinging motion or on its own. The other swings we looked at didn't have the vibration option. Very happy with our purchase!

This is the perfect size if you are looking for a space saving solution. Most swings are so big they take up so much space that it becomes frustrating. However, this fits perfectly in a living room or small nursery and even folds flat if you want to store it in a closet or under a bed. There is a total of 6 speeds of swinging. The swing can vibrate and has music or nature sounds. The clips are sturdy and the insert can be removed for when your child is bigger. I've also had a few friends trade their big sized swings in for this one. One downfall is that this swing does not plug into the wall. It only takes batteries. It takes size C Batteries.

We love this! I was nervous it wouldn't have enough power - but it's got a great swing - we only ever use the first two settings. It's really wonderful to be able to move it around the house. And the traction doesn't skid - we sometimes put it on the table so baby can be at our eye level - never unattended of course. I also love the ergonomics - it seems to keep baby's back nice and supported - unlike the Mommaroo. We have an older Mommaroo and I far prefer this swing. The baby will hang in the Mommaroo sometimes if sleeping - but the swing is much better for both awake and sleep time. I do wish there was one more setting to be even more upright.
