These work just fine. I like the heavy plastic for random roadtrip pitstops with no trashcan for miles. You can sub grocery bags with NO HOLES and a napkin in them. Choose a heavier plastic bag if you can like from target or sprouts. There will be a smell though. Maybe get a travel lysol, baking soda or febreeze if you have to stash it for a while. I keep both the oxo tot refills and the DIY version in my little travel stash. These have worked out really well for us. We try to have a bag already in the toilet (seat folded or set up in the back of the car) because sometimes seconds count. Actually most of the time seconds count...

I have purchased this bag several times already. - Very durable - Absorbent (Enough for my 5 yo pee FYI ;) ) Yes, these are just bags with paper-towel-ish absorbent paper on the bottom. But honestly I do NOT want to deal with a grocery bag with a hole so I use this product :) 30 bags for $10 isn't so bad when this saves my sanity to not have to use public restroom. I use OXO travel potty (http://amzn.to/2F9yv3J) and it's perfect.

I know that this potty can use regular grocery store bags--it is a lot cheaper that way. Cheaper isn't always better though. Grocery store bags leak all over the place--and you'll end up putting a diaper or something down in them to catch the pee to keep that from happening anyway so you'll wind up spending the same amount of money in the long run. These bags are quality. This is my second package of bags and I've never had one leak. The absorbent pad comes in handy but if you have a heavy wetter like my kid, it won't absorb all the pee--and that's ok because the bag doesn't leak! I recommend this potty system to everyone I meet who has small kids. I have 3 kids and people come to me all the time for potty-training advice. The first thing I always tell them is to get the OXO potty and bags--especially if their kids are afraid of a big potty. These are a must for on-the-go potty training. We take our potty and bags everywhere. We even used it one time in a cave--those non leak bags are great when you have to tote them back to civilization. So, there you go! Get these bags and if you don't have the OXO potty, these bags fit on the poteet plus--they're kinda big for the poteet but fit just fine.

These bags are great and we use them as a traveling essential. You know when you child tells you that they need to go potty, you look at the closest possible places to take them, and you think that you will need a shower once you leave the restroom... These bags and potty will save you from that nightmare! These bags come with an absorbent liner in the bottom to keep everything contained. The plastic is a little heavier than a grocery bag and will keep the smells contained. I see some people using grocery bags with napkins, but I don't take the chance unless absolutely necessary. You never know if those bags have holes in them and I don't want to end up with a mess in my vehicle (especially while traveling for hours). The potty along with these bags have been really good and I would recommend them!

This thing is awesome! We live in the country and find ourselves far from Home often. We have a stubbornly pottery training 3 year old and a 1 year old. Often the toddler “needs to go” when we aren’t around bathrooms or the one year old is asleep in the car. So we just break this out and there’s no problem. It’s so anticlimactic that it limits the potential for the toddler to be saying she needs to go just to Power play with me... it’s also great in general because taking both my girls in a public restroom is hard! II perfer to have her use it before going in instead. Fit in a planet wise medium wet/dry bag which gives you a pocket for the bags too. We take it in to use as a toilet seat cover when visiting grandparents too. It’s perfect for us!

Potty training is a stressful process but the OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty and these refill bags have made it easy. I have multiple potties at home but my toddler likes the OXO the best. For whatever reason, she would only defecate in the OXO potty. I know I can subsitute these refill bags with regular grocery store bags but the risk of them having holes (very likely) and leaking all over the place seem to be a nightmare. Additionally, using regular grocery store bags may not be as sanitary and require extra steps to clean them. OXO refill bags are great quality and compressed which makes it easy to travel. This is my second purchase and I've never had one leak. Once the pandemic subsides and it's safe again to bring my toddler out and about, I will be taking this potty and refill bags everywhere to avoid germs.

While you could just use plastic store bags.. I love the absorbent layer, especially since when we use them we aren’t always able to throw them right away. Yes.. I could also add napkins to the bottom of the stire bags but when you have a toddler screaming they have to potty and aren’t always able to pull over right when they say it - one less step is nice! I have repurchased and will continue to until we are past potty training days/she can hold it until we can stop at a store.

No leaks! These are essential for OXO tot portable potties. My daughter has been using these since she was potty trained at 2. She is now 4 years old and this is priceless when we are stranded at a park or school with no public access bathroom w/in walking distance (while at her older brother's soccer or baseball games). We simply set this up in the back of the SUV and she gets her privacy while I keep the back of my SUV pristine. I recommend keeping hand sanitizer, wet wipes and TP in the back of the SUV. I do use a bathmat in case of "misses."

These things are a lifesaver. My kids are 4, 3, and 1.5. I'll soon have all 3 needing to use the car potty. My 4 yr old is a camel and doesn't pee often, but my newly 3 yr old is the kid that pees before leaving the house then has to pee again 15 minutes later when we're trying to get somewhere.....and then again 30 minutes after that (insert eyeroll here). I even take the potty to her big brother's tball games and other parents with kids with younger siblings have had to borrow our potty. I like that everything is lined each time and so easy to keep clean! This is my 3rd pack in a year and a half, and I've never had one leak.

I set up our OXO Tot 2-in-1 Potty for travel everywhere we go, and use with these disposable bags. In the park (which towel for privacy), in public restrooms, in the back seat of my car... I stand in front of the door and allow him to help pull his underwear down, then sit him on the toilet. So easy, and the bags are absorbent enough and clean. They keep contents safely within the bag all the way home and in-between errands if needed without any leaks whatsoever. There's an absorbent paper-like square at the base of each bag that soaks up the urine. Absolutely great investment - WELL worth the money and convenience when potty learning or simply providing a SANITARY and respectful toiling option for your toddler!
