- This is a sturdy item that seems, for all I can tell, to be identical to the ones offered in medical-supply places. I'm ery pleased with the quality, AND with the supplier, since it arrived very quickly and in perfect condition, and is exactly as described. - Do note that there is Some Assembly Required - mainly, the handlebars need to be inserted into the body, adjusted for height, and the nut tightened; and the brake cables get inserted into clips. - It's not complex, and once assembled, it's not all that heavy, but it *is* a bit cumbersome to get out of the box and get the parts together. So, if you're buying this for an injured or infirm person, that person probably won't be able to juggle it, at least not without help. Once assembled and adjusted, though, I found it easy to use and maneuver ((I have a lot of pain in my one hip due to arthritis)) I was even able to roll myself around the house ((which is carpeted)) - the action of the wheels and brakes is very smooth. - I also got a *great* price - I think it might have been on sale. But in any event, it's still less expensive than I could find locally.

I had a hip surgery and came home with crutches I could not carry a plate of food or a drinking glass while using crutches. The day I got this walker, I was rolling my water jug around to water plants, I put my small hamper on the seat and transported my laundry to the machine, and I put a plate of food on the seat and rolled it to the couch. Second day, I was able to bake cookies in the kitchen with the extra stability and transport power of this rollator walker! I seriously went from sitting on the couch all day and juggling crutches back and forth to the bathroom to actually being able to get up and move around as prescribed by my doctor. As for the walker itself, it feels very sturdy and rolls smooth as butter over my hard floors and rugs. I expected it to feel a little cheap given the price tag but it is legit! I love this thing. Photos: 1) while watering plants 2) of cookies this walker allowed me to make!

The wheel froze up on me on my old walker which I had for several years. This one is easier to maneuver through smaller isles. I not crazy with the wire basket. It barely holds my purse. And the basket is all open that things won't stay in there without falling out. I bought the red pouch but that is only good enough to use as a zippered purse. I also like the bigger wheels. I feel safer using it. I would like to add to this. The other day I was out for a walk and got stuck in a pothole within a parking lot. The walker collapsed into itself while I was still holding onto the handles and I fell but it is the first time I ever fell without getting hurt. I know a registered nurse. She called to ask how I was and when I told her that I didn't even get a scratch on me and that I made a soft landing, she told me that the walker was a "safety" walker that fact that it collapsed into its self. I've never heard of a safety walker but I'm glad to know that they make them. I'm not saying that that's a guarantee of not getting hurt but who knows. I guess if you continue to hold the handles it lowers you to just a few inches off the ground.

I bought this to replace a rollator I had for many years. I like the smaller size of the rollator compared to other models. I use the seat frequently and have no issues with it. I feel safe while sitting in it and have no fear when I go to stand again. Since this was a replacement, I used the soft foldable basket from my previous rollator immediately. My walkers must be able to fold easily, and with the foldable basket it makes it quite easy to transport this rollator. While I'm generally not the person who folds the rollator and puts it into the trunk, no one has complaints that it is hard to fold and we don't have issues with it staying closed. I use it over multiple types of terrain and whether it be soft sand or asphalt to inside the house or stores, I don't have issues handling it. The tires are big enough to handle the terrain I traverse. I also like how the back cushion folds up instead of needing to be taken off to create more room in the trunk. I use the back cushion frequently to lift the rollator through doorways or if I need to step up on a curb. The folding back cushion makes this easier to do.

Most of the work of putting the walker together has already been done at the factory. The remainder left to the customer is fairly easy when directions are followed. Someone who is a complete klutz might have some trouble figuring it out, but otherwise the process is straightforward for the average adult. Even the brake cables are already hooked up to the rear of the frame. Makers had to come to a decision about how heavy the walker should be. They chose strength requirements meaning that the item is in my opinion a bit heavy for getting in and out of a car. I weigh 175 lbs. The seat is steady and firm when I sit on it because of the strength built into the product. This reviewer lives on a ground floor where there are no steps or other obstacles to hinder rolling it outside for walks. I think that for dwelling-interior use a simple, light aluminum walker does a better job than the item now being reviewed. The lighter product is easier for me to lift and/or navigate around furniture and narrow spaces. And a light-weight aluminum walker is a snap to get in and out of the back seat of a car, for use when I go to a physician's office or other such interior-use destination. The building I live in has long, obstacle-free hallways. The 'Rollator' is perfect for walks in the thin-carpeted hallways. I'm glad I bought this product.

The Drive walker is valuable not only as a mobility aid, but as a tool for carrying objects. Early on in my recovery from a broken leg, I used the seat to rest, as I could only stand for 10 minutes. Now, I use the seat to move laundry, dishes, boxes- anything I need to move from point A to point B. It is especially helpful for objects that make my standard walker (aluminum, wheels in front legs in back) top heavy and therefore unsafe. I am even able to do some shopping with this walker. Assembly was easy; all I had to do was attach the handlebars and backrest. The brake cables were already connected and only had to be clipped on to the frame. Depending on the severity of your mobility issue and the location of delivery, you may require assistance moving the package. The box is large and a bit awkward to maneuver.

I am very pleased with this rollator. I had a bariatric one two years ago that Medicare paid for. Once I lost 100 pounds I was walking better and was not using it so I gave it to a homeless man who was barely able to walk. Now that I am going to need a hip replacement I need a walker but Medicare won't pay for one for another three years. I was so worried about how much a good one would cost, but I found this one with a lot of good reviews. It is great. Lightweight enough for me to lift into the back of the truck but sturdy enough to keep me steady as I walk. Solid construction and easy to put together, since it only requires attaching the handles and basket. One thing I don't understand though is why Medicare charged $350 for a rollator that I just found on Amazon for $89. Wonder how much Medicare would have charged for this one.

Purchased for my Nana, who is experiencing congestive heart failure. She loves the color (ordered a red), is lightweight enough for her to maneuver easily, and it has plenty of easily accessible storage. My tiny Grandpa can fold and lift it easily into the trunk of a car. It moves well and provides a lot of great support. The seat is super convenient for waiting in lines at the doctor's office or if she needs a rest in the hallway of her assisted living facility, and the breaks are reliable. It's hard to watch your loved ones suffer as they age, but this makes a helpful difference in her life.

I never thought I would be reviewing a walker, but here I am. I fell right after hurricane Irma, and luckily had an old wooden cane to help me walk. A few days in, my PD nurse suggested a walker for better stability. So searched on Amazon and decided on this one. I really love it! It does give me more stability and helps me to walk more evenly than clumping around with a cane. It is well made, in fact I was quite surprised at the price of only $44. The wheels glide well and I love the basket and seat. They make things so much easier. The only problem I have encountered is that having recently moved, my house is still somewhat cluttered and you need clear floor space to use it to it’s full capacity. It had very little assembly and was not overly heavy, I hope to only need it for a few days, but plan to keep it handy should I make another klutzy move.

I did some extensive online research before buying this product. My objectives were to find a Rollator which was substantially constructed, and also one which had oversized wheels. Although this unit, a Drive Medical Steel Rollator is a bit heavier than its aluminum counterparts--the benefits of increased strength and more importantly--stability--in my opinion, more than make up for the weight factor. With this model there are never any issues related to tipping. It is solid, safe, and the end-user is more than pleased with it. The Rollator has improved the quality of her life--and mobility. It is also a great value for the money spent. Highly recommended.
