The case is awesome and the pieces are very sturdy
This was purchased for my daughter's second birthday and she absolutely loves it! The case is awesome and the pieces are very sturdy. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase! The stethoscope that makes a heartbeat and cough sound as well as the circa 2000 "nokia" looking phone are fun additions. Truly a well-made toy!

After playing with my granddaughter with her favorite present I would rate it 10 stars.
Purchased this for our granddaughters 4th birthday a couple months ago to go with a Dr coat and others items we had got her for Christmas. I don't know what word to use because love just doesn't seem to cover her excitement for this kit. She plays the Dr and then Mommy is the Dr and then she is the Dr again and then she decided I was the Dr. You have to wear the big Dr glasses (not my glasses that allow me to see) and you have to use everything in the kit to be the Dr. The cell phone that lights up when you touch the keys, thermometer that can show normal or a fever, the blood pressure cup that moves on different numbers as you pump it and stays on with velcro. You have a big plastic thing to give shots, 2 plastic bandaids that fit and I will not get it started on the stethoscope. It doesn't matter if she is the Dr or you everything has to be used and some items I don't know what they are but she tells me how to use them. To hear her say breathe in, hold it and breathe out is priceless. The phone is for calling in cough medicine when she will say "Do you like cherry or grape medicine better?". We have had so much fun with this and they live out of state so we don't get to see it all the time. She had it all this weekend and of course had to take turns. I was enjoying her so much I had not noticed pictures being taken around us. Imagine yourself dressed up with all of it and opening Facebook to see yourself tagged in a picture by daughter-in-law. On one side adorable granddaughter dressed up being the Dr and other half of page is Granny doing the same thing with those big round glasses and a caption that read "Who wears it better". Not exactly my high lite of best picture taken but it just shows how involved she is with this Dr kit and how involved she gets everyone else. The new things we had bought her for this weekend were literally tossed to the side with a thank you and let's play Dr again. The best present I think we have ever bought and outside of books the one we spent the least amount of money on. Clean up is also easy because she puts everything back in the Dr kit it comes in for when she needs it again. I would give this 10 stars if it were an option.

... daughter would become familiar with what medical equipment looks like (roughly) in a non threatening setting
I got this kit hoping that my daughter would become familiar with what medical equipment looks like (roughly) in a non threatening setting. She has always hated going to the doctor. So far, it has been a hit! She likes to play doctor and check on the health of her stuffed animals. I'm hoping our next visit to the doctor goes better. The variety and quality is good for what you pay. The changes I would make are: The cell phone doesn't have the correct tones for each number (a detail, but very noticeable), so I would change that. The stickers are kind of half stuck on/half exposed. It would be nice to have them stick on properly without peeling off. The tubing in our kit comes with permanent kinks in it. These are all small details though, and haven't had any impact on my daughter's enjoyment of the toy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this toy.

Nice to have such a neat doctor's kit with working parts, too!
I bought this kit for my 5 y.o. grandson. He wants to be a doctor "to heal people". Ahhhh. He & his 7 y.o. brother re practicing with the electronic pieces and the old fashioned kind, The kit case is also sturdy & easy for little fingers to hold onto!

Looks very well made
Recently my 4 year old granddaughter visited Looking for toys she and I came across her father's toy doctor set. When we opened it she said " I love everything in here." As her birthday was in a few days, we went on line to pick out one for her. She kept coming back to this one. It had more doctors items and they looked as well made as her father's kit which has lasted 38 years and counting. I received a photo of her holding her new one. She had a huge smile and I am told she is very happy with it. The caption under the photo said "It has all the stuff a doctor needs!"

I found this one a good choice in part due to the variety of pieces
I bought this for a 3 year old. Before purchasing, I compared it to other popular brand names i.e Fisher Price etc. This one has more pieces and a phone that has sound. I found this one a good choice in part due to the variety of pieces, the addition of something that has sound and locking case. True that this 3 year old has just experienced her mother's hospitalization due to C-section and many of the tools here were visible to her just prior to her receiving this; but yet that's why it work so well for her. She saw many of these instruments used on her mom, her new brother and herself. It's a little hard to get everything back into the case, but the variety and quality are great.

She wants to play Dr. - So I bought this its cute.
Really cute. The stethoscope makes a coughing sound for when the child listens to your back, your lungs and a kinda odd heartbeat sound when they listen to your heart. I thought more things lit up.. But they didn't. The only thing that looks annoying is the stethoscope and blood pressure cuff are made with tubing used with aquarium pumps and the way they've packaged it they crimped the tubing terribly and I don't think it can be straightened. Otherwise its pretty cute little set.

Exceeded expectations, great quality and fun interactions
This kit exceeded my expectations. The parts are interactive which I didn't even realize when I bought it. The phone and stethoscope have battery operated sounds, the air pressure cuff has a gauge that spins when you squeeze the green pump, the themometer clicks in to change the temperature reading and the syringe is spring loaded so they can actually push it in as if it was full of liquid. The Band-Aids are flexible enough to be put on an adult wrist and the overall quality of the pieces is really nice, along with the hard carrying case to hold everything. My 3 year old son loves this kit already and took a break from opening the rest of his Christmas presents to play doctor for a bit.

Excellent Doctor's kit!
I was beyond pleased with this item and my 3 year old daughter loves it. Each item is sturdy and of good quality down to the details- nothing in here feels "cheap" like I had expected. The carrying case makes for easy cleanup and transfer. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a doctor's kit for their kiddo!

Happy with this purchase
When my grandson got upset at his last doctor visit, I decided to buy a play medical kit so we could practice for the next time. I like that all parts are contained in a sturdy carrying case, and that the individual pieces are not flimsy. He has been very interested in playing with it so far, and because he is 18 months we supervise his play with the kit. We've played with it about 4 times so far and he has already checked my ears and let me check his. I am very happy with this purchase and I think our play with it will help his next doctor visit to be less stressful.
