It's a cable, and it works.
It works. I mean what else can I say? It's a USB extension cable. It's not going to make you more attractive to the opposite sex (or same, if that's your thing...) It's not going to buy you a beer, put it's USB shielded arm around your shoulder and commiserate you for not being attractive. It won't drive you to the ball game to hang out with your friends to forget your worries. And it certainly won't bail you out of jail when you do something stupid like drink too much beer, scream at geese in the park and chase them into the water. I mean what kind of a friend is this USB cable anyway? I give it a place to stay, it uses my computer all the time, and I think it's eyeing my SCSI ports. And after I rescued it from the depths of a warehouse somewhere! I mean that's friendship for you isn't it? And I think it's eating all my popcorn too! But yeah, it does what I need it to do. What else can I say?

Guess I got a bad one -- data transfer rate same as USB 2.0
Guess I got a bad one -- data transfer rate same as USB 2.0. Tested copying a 2 GB file, which took 11 secs direct to device with its (short) native USB 3.0 cable. Same test done with this cable between the PC and device -- about 50 secs! -- which is the same performance as the 10 ft USB 2.0 cable I was hoping to replace. In other words, it performs just like a USB 2.0 cable. So many good reviews -- and I saw one review -- they did a data transfer test like me, got good results though (what up with that???????). It's not worth the energy to return. Thoughts: Amazon should take their good name off this cable. ######################## UPDATE: my bad. This cable is just fine. What I learned: 3 meters is pretty close to max length per USB 3.0 spec. So, without a repeater, you won't be able to use a cable of any significant length in conjunction with this extension cable. I initially tested with a native USB cable about 1 meter long -- and adding this 3 meter extension resulted in a total length of 4 meters -- too long for reliability in USB 3.0. So of course i experienced dropped signal, poor performance, and such. Tip: if you're not using a repeater, only plug this cable into a cable that is a few inches long (a mini), or else you'll likely get faults. Weird that USB 2.0 spec allowed for longer cables than USB 3.0 spec, but there it is. Websearch: "USB 3.0 cable max length" for more info ########################

Perfect Extender for my ps 4 and controller

Great!
These things are great! I have always bought my cables off of Newegg, and after finding AmazonBasics, will now be buying them from here. Oh my god, I have found so many deals way better than my old vendor. The cables are of better quality also. These two USB cable extenders that I bought are of high quality and will hopefully withstand the abuse given to them laying on the floor between my Corsair Gaming setup from across the bedroom, and my gaming PC (Strafe RGB and M65-RGB). They seem to outperform the Bytech USB 3.0 extenders that they replaced very well. Never lose connection. I mean NEVER! Would buy again, and have, with several other kinds of cables...

Works like a charm
I bought this to play Sea of Thieves with my friend online. She plays the game on an Xbox while I play it on my desktop computer. The problem was, my computer was connected to my tv in my family room which it mounted to the wall 5 feet in the air and approx 10 feet away from where I sit. I’ve never been one to enjoy playing computer games because I had to use the keyboard to maneuver around but with Sea of Thieves, I could use a controller if I could figure a way to get it over to me on the couch. I thought about a wireless controller but have found I prefer wired over anything, they never lose a charge, lol. I was already using one usb extension cord for the mic and was using a hub to share it between the mic and controller but realized doing it this way caused horrible distortion to the mic. I figured I’d purchase another usb extension cord for the controller so the two wouldn’t have to share, hoping it would resolve my issue and it did. I was tickled pink to be able to play with my friend without having to get an Xbox for myself. The cord was inexpensive and is thick enough to where my cat doesn’t want to chew on it so that’s a win win for me!

Fantastic product and affordable. I've bought several
Can't go wrong with this USB extension. I have purchased SEVERAL of these. Be aware that these are USB 3.0 speed, so this is the best if your USB ports and devices are 3.0 speed. However if your ports or devices are only 2.0 speed, they will be compatible but it will not increase the speed, everything will still run at 2.0.

These are great
There are times when we need to plug things into the usb ports on the back of the computer for temporary use. Pulling the tower out can really be a pain. Plugging one of these into the back of the tower and running it up beside the tower for easy access to a usb port makes things so much easier. They also work great for extending the reach of charging cords when charging phones, tablets and other items that charge from a cord that connects to usb. You can extend the reach of your keyboard with these cords and not have to sit right up on the desk or if you have a physical disability and need to use the keyboard in your lap this cord makes it possible to get that extra reach easily.

Thay work great
I have an Oculus Rift, and I needed USB extensions for the sensors to go farther from my PC around my room to the farther corners, and so I bought these because I have had good experience with AmazonBasics before, and they are competitively priced. I am happy to report that they have been working perfectly with my sensors since April 26th, the day I received them in the mail. However, the female end of the cable where you would extend another cable from isn't the tightest fit. It's not loose, but also not super tight so if you want to use these in a manner and environment where it's possible the cable could get pulled on, I would suggest using electrical tape to ensure that the two ends stay connected. Since these are running around my room and are in no danger of being pulled on at all, I haven't bothered to do this myself.

Works Well.
This is a quite long (9.8 ft) extension cord. I am very satisfied with it. - I have used it to connect my laptop to an additional screen, and it worked flawlessly. - The color (black) makes it unobtrusive. - At $7.76, it was quite affordable. Not much else to say, really. Finally, a modest plea. If you found this review helpful, please click on the helpful button. Thanks!

Works Well. Holds Mating Connector firmly
Works as expected or as well as I could tell compared or when replacing another but only 6' USB 3.0 cable. The female end holds the plug with good friction fit and it will not come out on its own. One annoying feature is that the Amazon logo side of the female connector is on the opposite site of what is normally up on a USB plug. The USB icon is always on upside of the cable but Amazon got it backwards. The cable jacket is supple and smooth making it easy to dress in a bundle of other cables.
