My old lights were so bad that people riding with me didn't realize they were on if I was on dark blacktop. These lights completely changed that. I would guess that these are 2-3x brighter than my previous bulbs. Tonight I took it another step and cleaned the exterior light housing with the Turtle Wax light restorer and when I went for a drive I couldn't help but laugh at how impressive they lit up the road. I would highly recommend these to anyone and will be buying a set for everyone in my family this Christmas. After using these bulbs I would easily spend $50 or even $100 for them so they are absolutely worth the mid $20 price tag.

Installed in a 2014 Tacoma which are known for less than stellar highlight performance. I’d purchased a high wattage German set of lights before these and while very bright with great cutoff, they lasted 6 months. That won’t work for a daily driver so I went with these Phillips as a compromise: a little lower output but longer life rating. Honestly the output difference beteeen these and the high wattage German bulbs isn’t noticeable in a real world setting. I’ve only been running these for a month so I can’t speak to how long they last.

Not sure why Amazon says these bulbs won't fit my halogen-equipped GTI; unless I'm missing something, an H7 is an H7. And sure enough, they fit fine and were exactly the same size as the OE part. The bulbs are very nice; definitely whiter and brighter than the shameful stock bulbs VW uses. Some folks seem to have worries that they may not last as long as stock bulbs. Don't know if that's true. And frankly, I don't care. The extra light is worth it. Especially at this price. (Wearing latex gloves when installing is definitely recommended. If oil from your skin gets on the bulb it shortens the life.) A couple of tips for VW GTI/Golf owners: -Watch some online videos on how to change the bulbs. They can be very helpful. However, don't pay attention to the ones that would have you remove the whole headlamp assembly. Totally unnecessary unless you have huge hands. You can access the bulb holder from behind by taking off the rubber boot. -The fuse box on the (U.S.) driver's side is really close to the assembly and makes it hard to access the bulb holder. Go into the front wheel well and release the four front screws from the well cover. Peeling the cover back allows you to access the lamp assembly from the bottom and use two hands.

Replaced my sealed beam headlights in my 1998 Jeep Cherokee to H4 conversion housings which came with xenon bulbs. With the upgraded wiring harness this made a huge difference. The bulbs that came with the housings were just standard bulbs nothing special. Although the difference from the factory sealed beams was significant, I wanted to see if I could get a little more light with just upgraded bulbs without upping the wattage. I figured I would try these...and I am glad I did. Holy crap these things made a huge difference not only from stock but from the bulbs that had originally came with the housings. They are actually so bright I may feel the need to take them out if I find it is blinding other drivers (I don't want to be that guy) My Jeep is lifted and the cutoff for the headlights were set when the lift was installed. I am more than happy with these, as they outperform almost all standard (non HID or LED) bulbs I have used over the years

I picked these X-treme Vision 130 bulbs up last week to replace the depressingly dim stock halogen bulbs that came in our new 2017 GLE350 M. Benz. The vehicle uses a projector style headlamp, where the halogen bulb sits in a lensed tube that actively directs the light onto the road in front the car. The issue with halogen bulbs in projector style headlamps versus the older style reflector bowl style headlamps (that passively scatters the bulb’s light everywhere) is that if you have dim yellow bulbs, then the projector doesn’t have much to work with. Projector headlamps cut off and focuses the bulb’s output downwards as to not blind oncoming traffic but you, as a driver, cannot see anything beyond a short distance in front your vehicle if the bulb in them have poor road brightness. This is extremely dangerous for night time driving and it behooves me that Mercedes Benz wants customers to pay upwards of $80,000 to $90,000 for their GLE and GLS SUVs that come with cheap dim yellow halogen bulbs buried inside fancy projector style headlamps. My priority is road brightness and with the X-treme Vision 130 you get a noticeable increase road brightness that goes out well beyond 20 feet in front of the vehicle. The X-treme Vision bulb’s color is NOT white, like other reviewers stated, but instead it is a 3700K white-yellow color. It is whiter than the stock halogen bulbs BUT it is certainly not LED or HID white. The road brightness is much improved in distance of output as well as width and intensity. See my pictures for the proof. In the one co-joined picture you will see a before (stock halogen) picture and after (X-treme Vision 130) picture with the before picture on the top. Other pictures show the light output and projector cut off on a wall 10 feet away. Even on the dash cam you can now see the light brightness on the road in front the vehicle. If you want the look of 4000K to 6500K and beyond but need to see at night then LEDs is a cheap and effective bet. Halogen bulbs in that color range, such as the Diamond Visions, will give you the look but will also sacrifice bulb life and road brightness. As for the X-treme Vision 130 I am extremely happy with my Amazon purchase. I do wish I could get the pure white look and keep the road brightness but LEDs and HID kits won’t retrofit into my GLE350 tight headlamp housing. So I can only put in a halogen bulb. The X-treme Vision’s yellow is not that bad (it is a really light margarine-yellow color) and still looks good on my $70,000 Mercedes Benz SUV. See pictures I posted and also a video on my olaf2046 youtube channel.

Purchased - December 17 2015 for 2012 Toyota Tacoma trd. Life - January 5 2018 NOTE: one light died of the pair Location - Central Florida Notes - Very bright white light with blue hue in projector lense. Never had to use high beams. I hope this 130% Phillips is never discontinued because I will never choose another halogen bulb. I rarely give 5 stars but this headlight deserves it! Long life! I ordered another pair so the bulb that did not die will be backup. Additional Notes : Consumers MUST install CLEAN bulb with clean gloves. Inspect bulb prior to installation. If cloudy wipe clean using rubbing alcohol and clean cloth.

I'm sold! I'll be buying these again if they last over a year. I usually use the bottom of the line Sylvania in my 2005 Subaru Outback because they are cheap. I really shouldn't because I can't see anything beyond 10 feet! I restored my lenses recently and decided that I needed to see without having to use my high beams. I looked into super bright LED's but the hacking I'd have to do to make them fit would have been difficult so I opted for these. I'm glad I did, I noticed a 100% difference between what I recently had installed.

I literally exclaimed "Woah!" when I turned these on in my 2015 VW Jetta for the first time. Not only was the light whiter when seen from the outside, but sitting behind the wheel the light was just more evenly spread out and clearer. Definitely an upgrade on visibility, and the nice white hue is a styling plus especially for newer cars. In my photos, you'll see a comparison between all OEM then low beams with the Philips X-Treme Visions in, and I also changed the city lights, the tiny peanut ones next to the high beams, with SYLVANIA 2825 SilverStar High Performance Miniature Bulb, (Pack of 2). As you can see from the pics, these 2825 bulbs from Philips completed the new white light look, and made it slightly brighter. The X-Treme vision bulbs only have a 450h lifespan, so I wouldn't put them in any cars that use low beam as DRLS, like older Jettas from the MK5 series. But these will be extra useful in Chicago winters with little sunlight and lots of visibility problems with weather. Take a look at the pics below!

Because I travel full-time, I keep a set on hand should one or both go out. This review is based on my experience with the first set of Phillips Extreme Vision Headlight Bulbs. This specific review is appearing on a second reorder of the same product. CONS: It's hard to rate the longevity of this product because I'm not sure that the fact one of the bulbs lasted a little less than a year is due to some defect in my vehicle or if the product is not meant to last more than that amount of time. The other bulb is still going. NOT A PRO OR CON: A problem for me personally is that the bulbs are not easy to install on my specific vehicle - Chrysler Pacifica. But that's not the product's fault. So I'm giving Phillips the benefit of the doubt with a five-star rating. That'll change if negative FACTS come to light. Speaking of light ... PROS: What I can say FOR A FACT is that these bulbs are bright. I travel into some mighty dark areas. They light my way just fine.

Before purchasing these headlights I could only see 100% of the things in front of my truck being illuminated by the stock lighting system. Since installing these lights, I've noticed I'm able to see 30% more. I now know what Willis was talking about and I know Victoria's Secret. Don't buy these lights unless you're ready to see more than you have previously become accustomed to seeing... Or they work pretty good, I guess.
