We got this to stretch some carpet ourselves. I watch a couple of Youtube videos and was off to the races. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.

Used this knee kicker today. It did all that it was supposed to do. I was able to tighten up the loose carpet bulge better than I was expecting and found the instructions helpful also. Kicker was sturdy and worked as good as I could have wanted. For a home handyman who would only use it occasionally it was a great bargain.

I used to make these when I was 19 years old. So when my boss was having problems with her carpet, I said, "I can do that, we just need a kicker". So we got one and fixed the carpet. Note: if you use this method to stretch your carpet for re-tacking, you will need two people, one to kick the carpet into place and the other to tack it down. Or you can get the other model that expands and allows you to use the wall for support.

Fixed the loose carpet in a walk-in closet. My first time stretching a carpet. The stretching got better through some technique trial and error. I have some other areas in the house to stretch as well. One of those power stretchers would of course work much better, but this is a good frugal solution. One recommendation for anyone new to carpet stretching with a kicker, wear jeans or other durable long pants. I got a nasty rug burn on my knee while wearing shorts. Also, a rubber mallet works well for some tight spaces that don't allow you to get your leg back for the kick.

Made very well ! Sturdy construction ! Good for a smaller room ! Just small jobs ! Also should work well on thinner grades of carpet. Example, commercial carpets or high low pattern carpets. May not be good for a really thick plush carpet ? But it may work ?

Works well. Not a carpet "stretcher" but a decent option for carpet repair or re-stretching. I wouldn't recommend this tool for a new install, but I used it to re-attach my carpet to the tac strip after pulling it up. I had to run some wires around the room and that required pulling up the carpet.

Does what its supposed to do. I had two rooms where I had to pull up a few edges of room to room carpet due to water intrusion from a storm. Let the carpet dry out and used the to kick it back onto the tack strips. I'm not laying rooms of carpet . This worked perfect for me.

Compared to most of the other options out there, this was a very good value. It worked fine for some small areas / fixes. Not really designed for laying down a full room of new carpet, though if you had nothing else you could make do with this and it would be way better than no stretching method. Ideal for a closet type area or re-stretching and fixing some loose carpet.

Perfect for the homeowner. Used to stretch back loose carpet in several areas of a house i purchased. Worked great. Cheaper to buy this than to rent for the day from a local rental store. I'm sure I'll need it again eventually.

We had to pull up our basement carpet for a leaking foundation during heavy rains. It was impossible to put the carpet back in place without this knee kicker. I highly recommend this item if you need to put your carpet back in place. It is an inexpensive fix and easy to use. Much cheaper than paying someone to stretch your carpet back in place.
