Worth it and easy to assemble! So glad I got it :)
So this is the first thing I assemble by myself ever... I'm a 21 YO female who needed a mattress base because my mattress was so unevenly distributed on the bed. So after reading all the reviews, I figured this was the best one to buy! The package was a tad heavy so I asked someone to help me carry it to my apartment, as it was delivered to the reception office. Anyways the assembling took me an hour and 15 minutes sharp!! I did it all by myself! And the instructions were quite simple without any words, but with a tad of logic you can figure everything out in less than 5 minutes! The product looks great on my bed and very sturdy! I must admit that I did tighten all screws like crazy (a bit OCD). Anyways no equipment is needed besides the ones provided with the package. Highly recommended and here are pictures showing my bed before and after I got this products with steps showing how to assemble it!! Good luck :)

Great for us overweight folks.
LOVE this box 'spring'. For every review that is complaining about how heavy the box is; I'm going to need you to stop and think. This is a metal frame NOT a traditional wood box spring, of course, it's heavy. Please read the weight of the package. This was pretty easy to assemble even without words. There were one or two snags. In step one, the image looks as though there are nuts to be applied to the screw, this is not so.Then the images for steps 3 & 4 seemed to indicate you needed more nuts than you actually have. The M screws just like the L screws do not call fur nuts. So if you have ten nuts you are all good.Even with those moments of confusion still easy to assemble. Took about 30 minutes from start to finish and that was with a 5-year-old running around insisting on 'helping'. It was easy peasy to get the cover over the metal frame, zipped up with no issue. However, if you really find this to be too much of a hassle just buy a bedskirt and be done. This is providing us sooooo much more support than our old box spring (to be fair that thing was a decade old and its spring had long sprung). As my other half and I are both weight gifted, I really wanted to go with this box spring in hopes that it would handle our weight better than a traditional box spring. Only time can really tell on that front, But I am pleased thus far. We are using a Zinu 12 inch mattress and could not tell that we were laying on metal. Gave the mattress just the right amount of firmness. I slept so well last night I almost cried when my alarm went off and I had to get up this morning. I'm sure at some point we are going to have to move again. I like the fact that we can deconstruct this, thus saving room in a moving truck when packing. Suggestion, do not remove the up stickers on the frame so that when it comes time to reassemble you'll know which way to put the pieces. Add to all of that that this was cheaper than any box spring that I could locate at my local furniture stores. I'm one happy camper.

This is a awesome box spring
This is a awesome box spring. I had the old style box spring with coils and as I purchased a new mattress it was necessary for me to find the correct box spring that would work with my new mattress. The assembly is easy, the construction is awesome and I dont think I will ever need a new box spring. I would suggest not doing a total unzip on the cover, well for me what worked best. I just did a unzip on the top portion and put in on like a pillow case. Some may prefer doing it a different way but this worked best for me.

Fantastic box spring. Very high build quality. Easy assembly.
I can't find a flaw with this thing. I was amazed at the build quality I got for $119. This is literally the only "assemble yourself" product where they include a RATCHETING allen wrench tool. I appreciated that so much. Using the standard crummy allen wrench tools can hurt your hand. But literally everything in this box just screamed high quality. Even the ratcheting allen wrench. But let's say you don't care for that tool and wish you had a regular allen wrench... They give you one of those as well. Along with a really sweet thank you card. The assembly was RIDICULOUSLY easy. If you see a review on here saying it was hard, that person is lying. Every part is labeled with sticker numbers. You connect 1 to 1. You connect 2 to 2. You connect 3 to 3. And on and on. After the first two connections, I didn't even look at the instructions anymore. I understood THAT fast how everything works. Built it in half an hour and I was taking my time. It's pretty light weight for a box spring, can be easily disassembled and moved, and provide fantastic support. This is exactly how a box spring should be made. I wish I could give it 6/5 just because of all the nice little things they included. And if you can't tell, I was just blown away that they included a ratcheting allen wrench. Someone put thought and care into this product, and it shows.

Best Box Spring Ever!
This product is great, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I am using this box spring with a Nature Sleep memory foam mattress. If you have an innerspring mattress your mileage may vary. My review as follows will cover several different aspects of this product and why they are great. Portability: Who knew you could assemble a box spring instead of lugging around a 50+ pound bulky wooden frame? Once assembled, the frame is lightweight and much easier to move around than a traditional box spring. The next time I move I am just going to take it apart instead of it taking up space in the moving truck, very economical in that sense. Assembly: Assembly was very easy, no mechanical inclinations required from the assembler. The set comes with an allen wrench/hex key and you use that to hold bolts in place while you tighten wingnuts with your fingers. Please ignore any reviewer of this product who said it was too difficult to assemble, took too long, or had confusing instructions, they are either lazy or completely incompetent. It took me about an hour to assemble by myself, and it would have taken even less time if I hadn't been half watching TV and drinking a beer while I was putting it together. The instructions aren't written words, but pictures showing which pieces to assemble with which bolts, but if you ever built a Lego set when you were a kid you should be able to handle this. It is easy to tell which pieces should be facing up during assembly, because most have a 'this side up' sticker. The pieces that don't, it either doesn't matter which side is up or you can tell which side should be up because of the notches the slats will fit into at the end. The Cover/ Looks: The zip cover looks nice and the white sides are a soft plush. Make sure you sweep your floor before zipping the cover on though or you might get dirt all over the nice white part. Some people said that the cover ripped when they were zipping it up, that was not the case for me. The cover is a very tight and perfect fit, but the white sides stretch. So when you zip it on, don't just yank on the zipper as hard as you can, pull up on the white parts that stretch and it will make the zipper easier to close. Durability: It seems sturdy enough to me. I have had for two weeks, no complaints. I have unzipped and re-examined the frame and it has not bent or buckled under the weight of two people or any vigorous activity. Could you bend the metal of the frame after you put it together? I guess you could if you tried to, but why would you do that deliberately? Putting a mattress on top of it and using as intended should leave you with no issues. I hope this review provided all the information needed to help in your purchase decision, and I am sure you will be satisfied with this box spring.

Awesome and easy!
Received our steel box spring for our king bed today and had it assembled in about an hour by myself. Very easy to put together -- I even put it together inside our king bed frame since I didn't have any other place to do it. While the individual parts are not labeled, it is easy to figure out which parts go where. The hardest part for me was figuring out which way the cover was supposed to go! :) Feels very solid and hope it last!

Great alternative to the tradional box spring and cheaper
I bought a King size mattress that did not come with a box spring. So, as I'm scouring the internet trying to find the best deal for a box spring I came across this. It was half the price of most box springs I found. I was a little nervous at first with it being metal and traditional box springs being wood but once I received and got it set up I loved it. Installation - You do have to put together. It's very simple. It just pieces together. The only thing that gave me a little trouble was the cover that goes over the metal and that was only b/c there is only one way to put it on and it fit all the way around. If your having trouble getting it to fit all the way around its on the wrong way. It fits like a glove so make sure your putting it in the right way

not your father's box spring
These days, you don't have to worry about how to get a giant box spring home. All 45 pounds of this puppy shows up at your doorstep in a compact box that's easy to carry upstairs and simple to assemble. The latter took me about 30 minutes, using the clear instructions and the included tools. The light steel construction distributes the weight of the mattress and the human (OK, maybe the occasional canine) bodies that rest atop it in a way that makes a heavier boxspring unnecessary. The fabric 'envelope' zips snugly around the finished metal frame. I recently assembled a smaller (twin) boxspring that uses wood slats. I prefer this metal assembly by a hair. Heartily recommended.

The Box Spring set was very easy to assemble and the construction is better then a ...
We purchased the King High Profile Box Springs for our low profile bed. It arrived yesterday. the box was no more then a foot wide and three foot high. Hard to believe that this is a box spring set. We assembled it last evening. The Box Spring set was very easy to assemble and the construction is better then a box spring set from a local mattress store. We had no issues at all assembling the box springs (App 25 mins). The directions are easy to follow that even a 10 year old could assemble. It could not be any easier!! The Coverlet for the box spring is zipper and of good quality. We are extremely happy with this product and saved over $150.00 by purchasing this a box spring set at the local store with delivery was $285.00. There was not any squeaks or issues on our first night. In fact I can say that it made our memory foam mattress much more comfortable. I will update this review after 30 days in Mid December. Suggestion: I would suggest before attempting to put the coverlet on to lay it on top to make sure you have it going on the frame the correct way.

A bargain compared to furniture stores
I purchased this box spring after my local furniture store gave me a $400 quote for a comparable model (they also said it'd take a month ship), so I figured I'd try this one for 1/4 the price and with free two day shipping. I am very pleased with it so far. Some people have complained about the weld quality - I inspected each weld and there were no issues with mine. Some people have complained about the instructions - this is a somewhat valid gripe. In my opinion, the instructions are fine, but the frame pieces need to be labeled. Set up took about an hour and was kind of frustrating. Just a final note for those of you who have foam mattresses; this frame does not satisfy the box spring requirements of many foam/memory foam companies because the slating is too thin and spaced too far apart. To correct this I placed 3/8 plywood over the slats so that the mattress would lay on a flat surface... I've had no issues with that so far.
