If you're a true George Forman appliance owner I would recommend the "Evolve". Includes removable porcelain coated standard grill plates and additional Deep Dish tray. Omelets and fatata's are perfect in the deep dish tray. Egg whites, avocado.... Adjustable temperature settings. Use Sear function for Panini's and wraps.

We are loving this for bringing our grilling indoors for the winter! The nonstick plates are truly nonstick. You don't need oil at all, and what looks like truly burnt on material falls right off under running water or poking it with the little plastic stick it comes with. We have done steaks, porkchops, chicken, fish, and waffles. Works great. Don't overfill it with waffle batter, or it will smoosh out the back and make a big mess (thanks, honey). The plates hand wash easy or go through the dishwasher favorably too. The 'sear' option is a little quirky but works fine. Porkchops or steaks with a large bone are harder to cook, as the plates sit on the hard bone and don't otherwise make as much contact with the meat. This makes them take longer but they still cook fine.

Really love the Forman 5-serving grill. The ceramic coating on the plates is why I bought it and I am "Not" disappointed. They are holding up very nicely showing no signs of wear. I use it at least 3 times a week on average and I've had it for awhile now. Cooks evenly. The tilt feature is also great. One possible improvement to make this the absolute best would be to open it to a flat position for pancakes/eggs on both heating surfaces. Great product. I highly recommend it.

I really love this grill. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I have been reading the other reviews especially the negative ones and I want to comment on them. A lot of the negative reviews center around the plates not being absolutely non-stick. This is true. Food sometimes does stick to the ceramic plates. But it is easy to dislodge it with a nudge of the spatula. And then the plates are easy to clean with just a little soap and water. It would be better if manufacturers would call the products stick resistant rather than non stick. It's too bad that folks are returning the grill over this issue. They are depriving themselves of an awesome grill. It takes less than a second to dislodge a piece of meat from the grill. I had my grill for about a year and then it died. So why the 5 star review? Because of the great warranty service. My grill died on 10/16. I called the number in the instructions. They had me snip off the end of the electric cord with a couple inches of wire still attached. That is all I had to return. There are secret codes stamped on the metal prongs. And on 10/29 the replacement grill arrived. By the way, I needed to send proof of purchase. Amazon to the rescue. I printed off my order info from Amazon's order page and the company accepted that. The new grill came reasonably fast. And I just made myself a cheeseburger. Yummy! I think it was a fluke that my original grill only lasted a year. So I do highly recommend the grill. And, based on my experience, you can buy in confidence knowing that a real warranty program backs you up.

I am really happy with this grill. I'm single with a full time job and busy schedule. This is perfect for me. I very rarely use my full-size oven any more. It came with the ceramic grill plates, a baking plate, and a muffin plate. I have used all 3. I did find that I had a little bit of sticking with the grill plates. I make hot dogs quite a bit. I really did not want to use a spray on the grill plates because I didn't want them to become discolored. So, I bought a cheap roll of aluminum foil and put a piece on the top and on the bottom and spray that. It makes clean up so much easier. I have not found that the grill plates can be cleaned with a wipe of a paper towel. I often have to use a magic sponge to get them looking like new, but that is really no big deal. It's not like you have to scrub really hard, I just like the plates to look spotless. I have made corn on the cob on the grill plates also that came out pretty good. I wrap the ears in aluminum foil with butter, salt and pepper and put them on the grill, then turn them a quarter turn about half way through cooking. The plates are also good for frozen hamburgers and frozen hash browns. I did try to make a grilled cheese sandwich on the grill plates, but had too much cheese on the sandwich and it oozed out onto the plates. But, I think this is just a learning curve. And, the plates cleaned up fine. I have made brownies using the baking plate which came out good. They are a little thinner than using a regular baking dish and you have to keep in mind you are baking from top and bottom so the time may need to be adjusted a little. I have also made corn bread (just a mix) in the baking dish which turned out good, again a little thinner than using a baking dish. It would probably be really good if the mix was doubled. I have also used it to cook the frozen hash browns using some oil in the bottom and they turned out good also. Something to remember is setting the grill back to the horizontal position when baking. It's easy to notice though because your batter will all pool to the front. I also tend to forget to set it back when I grill something so the grease does not run into the grease catcher. Again, a learning curve. I made blueberry muffins in the muffin tin. I did notice though that the tops were high and tended to be cooked by the upper grill plate. I do wish this grill had a height setting feature, but it was not that big of a deal. The baking plate and muffin tin are extremely easy to clean. These actually could be wiped with a paper towel. I have had nothing stick. I purchased the waffle plates separately and am glad I did. I make waffles and freeze any leftovers to be re-heated during the week. I can make two waffles at a time which is fine for one person using a quarter cup measure of batter for each waffle. One thing to keep in mind is both the upper and lower plates are hot, so if you open the lid to stir something you have to be careful not to burn yourself on the top plate. I eventually want to get the low sided baking plate which I think would be good for pancakes, although you can use the high sided baking plate for that. This is great product and I would purchase it again.

I've always liked George Foreman grills, but I have to say that this is the best model I've owned to date. The features of this model which make it better are as follows: 1. Removable cooking plates for easy cleaning. 2. Searing function helps lock in natural juices. 3. Adjustable hinge helps evenly cook thicker cuts of meat. 4. Non-stick ceramic will not flake off after a couple of months like the old Teflon coating. 5. Comes with baking pan attachment and muffin insert. Other cool plates/attachments are available from the manufacturer and at Amazon, making this a very versatile cooking machine. 6. When using the baking pan or other attachments, you can adjust the angle for a more level cooking surface. 7. The price is very reasonable for all of the features this product has to offer. **TIPS: 1. DO NOT use cooking spray on grilling plates. The chemical propellant in the spray will leave a sticky residue which is impossible to remove. 2. When using the searing function, meats may stick to grilling plates. To solve this problem, apply an even coat of cooking oil to grill plates using a soft paper towel before preheating the grill. 3.To clean the grill plates scrape off as much of the debris as possible with the included plastic spatula. Hand wash plates with a scrubbing sponge or place them in the dishwasher. Conclusion: This grill has come in quite handy in the past couple of months and I look forward to many years of continued use. This would make an excellent gift for just about anyone, including college students living away from home.

Wow I love this grill, Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for right. I was torn between the George Foreman GRP4842P 2-in-1 Evolve Grill or the Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler. I'm happy that I choose this George Foreman. Very easy to use, just plug it in click the power button and wait for the beep that sounds when it comes up to temperature, set your timer and your good to go. A good sized boneless, skinless chicken breast cooked at 350 F in 12 minutes, nice sear marks and juicy. I cooked it with the plates level and had garlic, onion and bell peppers grilling on the side which was nice not to have the veggies try to fall out the front. Pro's: Ceramic grill plates (They don't recommend cooking spray) Comes with waffle plates Has a Sear option at 500 F Adjustable Timer Adjustable Temperature Removable plates Can make plates level so food don't slide forward. Easy clean up Cons: Just the price lol. but its worth it. I'm very happy with my purchase and have to say in my opinion it is by far the best George Foreman grill I've ever used. I wouldn't hesitate to buy for gifts or replace if needed. Want a good grill look no further!

I had used an earlier version of a George Foreman grill and wrote about my displeasure with that model and suggested improvements. It seems like someone took my suggestions to heart and created a well crafted advanced design on this Evolve model. The previous model had teflon plates which were becoming more difficult to clean after each use and wrote in my original review that ceramic plates were a better option which this Evolve model now uses and they are so easy to clean. Things used to slide off my earlier grill because of the slant, but they have corrected that defect with an adjustable slant. I could not be happier with this grill as it has exceeded my expectations which does not happen often. One other little, but important thing that I discovered I was doing wrong was using an aerosol grill spray, the instructions advise against that saying chemicals in the spray will compromise the efficacy of the grill. Use instead a small brush to brush on canola oil and you will improve the grill operation.

Just received my new George Foreman Evolve yesterday and I must say so far I am very pleased. I purchased the new grill to replace a much older model which had burned out literally bright light and all. I probably could have fixed it, but why bother? Anyway I had a couple of Costco's chicken breast marinating in the fridge when my new grill arrived so I started grilling right out of the box. Temp 400, sear and grill for 9 min, put in closed container to let it finish cooking. Yes I know, some reviewers will assume the old grill was better because all you had to do was close the lid and eventually you got it right, but one thing you never could cook on the old grill is "Jiffy Cornbread" which I perfectly cooked on my new grill today. Simply follow directions on the box. Mine was done in 15 min at 400. Didn't even preheat the second bunch and it was done in 15 min as well. The grill bakes brownies just as well and these are the easiest, tastiest I've found so far...Ghirardelli Chocolate Triple Fudge Brownie Mix, 19-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F94XR4S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_4oowvb1HTF51M

I love this grill. I live in an apartment, which has a very small kitchen with limited counter space. It's difficult to get two people trying to do things in the kitchen at the same time. This grill fits perfectly on the counter top. I use it all the time, and cook everything I possibly can on this grill. The only things I don't cook on the grill are those that need boiling water on the stove, or things like pizza, which need to go into an oven, or that are too large for the grill. I would highly recommend that you purchase the griddle plate if it doesn't already come as part of your purchase. I use this more than the standard ridged bottom plate that comes with the grill, except when I want to sear a steak. I especially like cooking my entire breakfast on the griddle plate, which usually consist of sausage or bacon, and eggs. Unfortunately, I can't cook oatmeal or grits on the grill sense they have to be put into boiling water on the stove. If I'm having toast, I can do that on the grill as well. I like to smear olive oil on the bread as a substitute for butter. This taste absolutely awesome, and olive oil is scientifically directly linked to good heart health. I bought some silicon egg rings, which work perfectly for keeping the eggs from mixing with other items, such as bacon, on the griddle plate. I coat the bottom of the rings with avocado or olive oil, which helps the silicon rings to seal to the surface, and then sprinkle additional oil inside the rings. Of course, you can also just run some of the bacon or sausage grease under the rings if you like it that way. I like my fried eggs somewhere between over medium and done. So, when the eggs firm up a little around the edges, I remove the rings, and close the grill top. This quickly cooks the eggs to final consistency. So, this grill cooks the perfect breakfast, and I'm getting hungry talking about it. I experimented with cooking bacon on the standard ridged plate and tilting the grill to allow the grease to drain off. I still found myself using a paper towel to absorb grease that didn't drain off from the bacon after cooking. Furthermore, I didn't like cooking the eggs on the standard ridged bottom plate. You can't use egg rings on the ridged plates, and obviously you can't close the grill cover to help the eggs cook on both sides. Therefore, I settled into cooking my breakfast as described above. For the first time in my life, I wanted to try buffalo meat. So I cooked up some buffalo burger on this grill. Buffalo has a higher nutrient density than beef, and also a lot lower fat content. Due to the lower fat content, the burger does not shrink when cooking, and you probably do not want to sear it. So, I cooked it inside the griddle plate instead of on the standard ridged grill plate. You need to be careful not to overcook buffalo meat. I seasoned the meat with olive oil and spices, and this burger turned out to be the best burger I ever ate. Sometimes, I just throw some cutup vegetables on the grill, add some seasoning and olive oil, and that works out fine. I also experimented with asparagus. I tried cooking these on the ridged plates while cooking a steak, and also on the griddle plate. It works out great either way. So far, I have not tried using the waffle plates or cooking pancakes on the grill. I very seldom eat these, so I can't comment on that. However, I'm sure they will do just fine. One other thing I really like about this grill is that it is soooo easy to remove the grill plates and wash them. I don't use a dish washer. So, after cooking, I just pop off the grill plates, wipe out the excess oil (if any), and put them in the sink for hand washing. It only takes a few seconds to wash and put them in the drain for drying. So, in summary, this is best darn indoor grill I ever had. George Foreman, you did a good job!
