I would highly recommend this printer. As read in other reviews, I spent a little time syncing it for the first time (less than 1/2 an hour and a few tries) but well worth it , because now it connects automatically. I also bought the car cord and XL case so everything fits in one case (printer, car cord, house cord, extra ink and paper included). As a field service technician this has been very helpful in onsite printing of invoice or sign off sheet directly from my iPhone/email (no laptop or connecting wire needed). As seen in the picture, the closed case is setting next to a 1-1/2" 3 ring binder (Comparable to a thick briefcase weighing around 7 lbs).

I spent hours trying to setup this printer and was considering sending it back, until I decided to call Canon and I'm so glad I did. So, if you need support, call 1-800-652-2666. Otherwise, just follow these easy instructions: After you set up the cartridges, turn on printer and press the wi-fi button until the power button flashes ONCE. Let go of wi-fi button. Then press for 10 seconds the WPS button on your wireless router. Both the power and wi-fi buttons on printer should be blinking together now. This means your printer is paired with your wi-fi. No need to buy a USB cable just for set-up. After this, go online and do the setup. The computer will find the printer and your apple devices will too - no need to download the Canon app. FYI, I have a MAC computer. I tested black & white printing from all devices and works great. Cannot speak for color printing or how much cartridge it uses. But so far I'm satisfied!

I just got this to solve a problem and it is perfect for what I need. I dumped my previous Canon printer because the printer needed to compete with the computer printing instructions and required that its options be met with the selection of paper size, paper type and several other criteria before it would print at all. The iP110 just prints immediately based on the information I have already provided for the computer. It does what its told no questions asked. Photo print quality is outstanding and accurately reflects the colors as seen on the computer screen. I get what I ask for in color, paper type, paper size. While the printer has several other capabilities and is portable I can't vouch for those because I use it exclusively as a photo printer from 3 x 5's to 8 x 10's. It is compact and fast enough and while I have not seen the ink consumption yet it only uses two cartridges and the aftermarket provides those for about $10 for the pair. I have been lucky with my previous Pixma printers not paying a premium for Canon ink and getting quality color prints, or black and white. If you need this printer for something other than photos check other reviews mine is for photos only.

Excellent little printer! I got it for traveling in the RV as occasionally we have a need to print something. This is just a basic printer - 2 ink cartridges and a paper feeder. The printer is compact and clean looking (not clunky). Set up: Installing the print head was simple - slide it right in. Installing the ink cartridges was simple - typical Canon ink cartridges. The black cartridge did not light up however but that was my fault. I didn't get one side of the print head snapped in tight enough. I just pushed on the contact points and it clicked right in and the ink cartridge lit up ready to go. The print head alignment took a few extra minutes as the special paper wouldn't feed. I don't know what the issue was but finally it picked up the paper and printed out the alignment test paper just fine. Connecting to my laptop: I installed the set up files via the included CD. Slight stall when it got to "searching for printer" and the app displayed a Print List screen. The printer wasn't in the list - nothing was. So I did the search again - still nothing. So I just hit "Next". The printer connected immediately to my wi-fi network and did it's little setup thing. Dunno why it didn't show up on the list but it worked just fine after that. The print is nice and crisp. I have a full size Canon multi-purpose wireless printer and it drinks ink greedily. I don't know yet how long these cartridges will last but I expect all Canon's are the same. Bottom line: This is a nice mobile printer. The setup was a breeze and it prints beautifully. (side note: I bought the EVA Hard Protective Travel Case Carrying Bag for CANON PIXMA iP110 Wireless Mobile Printer Airprint By Hermitshell also. Nice case but the smell is horrid. Not sure I can use it.)

IF you want to set up easily, call Canon. I LOVE CANON CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Some very nice person will walk you through the set up, even though the diagram is (I thought) pretty simple. I AM NOT TECHNICAL but I set it up fine. When I got to the "connect to the printer wirelessly" I just called Canon. Be sure you connect to Canon USA and not some fake CON company that tries to sell you support. Canon offers free tech support for their products and it is really really good. Why not make use of them, they're happy to help.

I don’t know what all the fuss is about the setup of this printer? It was hands down the easiest wireless printer I have ever setup. Literally had it up and running and connected to both my PC’s in about 10min. Print quality and speed is adequate for everyday print jobs, but nothing to rave about. It’s small footprint and ultra portability is what sold me on this unit. The fact you can also use it on the road with the optional battery pack makes it an ideal choice for anyone who needs a printer on the go. Print yield is decent, considering the size of the ink cartridges, and with that mentioned, the cartridges are small enough to keep extras on hand for when you need them. All in all, I’m very happy with this unit. For the sub $140 price, which is what I paid, it is an exceptional value!

OK, so I have gone from loving to hating this printer. You really would think that Canon would understand that people who buy a mobile printer are busy people who do not have hours to spend figuring out how the product they bought, but apparently they don't. I bought this printer not so much for its wireless capability, but for its small size (to fit next to our kitchen iMac) and for its portability for travel. If you are thinking about buying it, please follow these instructions to save yourself a lot of grief. First, do not under any circumstances, attempt to understand the installation diagram Canon includes in the box. And forget about trying to look at the video they reference because the page no longer exists. There are a couple of YouTube videos that are helpful. Second, accept that you're probably not going to get this thing to work wirelessly (at least not initially) so just go to Best Buy NOW and buy the USB A to B cable that Canon couldn't be bothered to include in the package. Make sure you get the more square version for printers and not the file transfer type. I took a picture of the connection just to be sure I got the right one. The set -up is far simpler than the diagram, but here are the basic steps 1) Take the two ink cartridges and the cartridge frame out of their packages and remove the orange plastic protectors around each. Pop each cartridge into the sized slot in the frame. 2) Life up the top lid of the printer (where the paper goes in) and move the paper guide all the way to the left. 3) Lift the little bottom flap (where it comes out) and remove the protective paper. 4) Press the on/off button to turn the printer on 5) Lift up the panel directly in front of the buttons and wait for the cartridge carrier to center itself. 6) Lift up the top frame of the cartridge carrier, insert the frame with the cartridges into it, secure the frame back down and close the lid. Mine seemed to take several rounds at getting the cartridges positioned once the lid was closed. 7) Connect the printer to your Mac using the USB cable. 8) You should be immediately prompted to install the appropriate Canon software. 9) Once the software is installed, take one of the two heavy white paper sheets that came with the printer, insert it with the trimmed corner to the upper right and press the center button with the down arrow and triangle. You have to hold it down for a few seconds and release. The printer will print out a color gauging page. 10) Repeat the process with the second white page and the printer will print out a blue and gray tone gauging page. 11) Now you can insert paper and print normally. 12) When you print the first print-out from the connected printer, check off the box that says "Share this printer in the network." Anytime you want to use it from another computer in the network, you will be prompted to download the Canon software from that computer. I haven't yet tried it from an iPhone or iPad.

Love this little thing. Bought the battery with it and a case. Makes a great little portable printer that can be used anywhere - anytime. I saw some reviews about hard to setup, hard to use on a network. Per the first comment, I found it quite easy to setup following the included instructions. Per the second comment, this printer is not intended to be a desktop or office printer. It was designed for "on-the-go". It has a built-in Wifi Access Point for printing. Connecting your laptop to it once its drivers are installed is a breeze, it shows up just like any WiFi. Connect and print - simple. Of course, there is a compromise. Making the connection simple using WiFi, means temporarily dropping off your WiFi internet connection to alternately connect to the printer. For my laptop, this is as easy as clicking the WiFi link the bottom right tray, clicking on the printer, print and just doing the reverse to get back onto Internet. With that said, I'm really not on the Internet when I'm needing the printer most of time anyway, as this is done in the car or in a customer's location. BUY THE BATTERY, Its sold separately. Price wise, the whole package is more expensive than buying a regular, normal sized printer, actually probably 2-3 times the cost. But you get small, portable and battery operated printer for that extra $. A full size printer is by no means small and the only reasonable they can be portable is to put them on an inverter in your car or drag it into your customers and plug them in. No one wants that and they're really clumsy in the car - trust me, I've had customers do it this way. So if you need color printing on-the-go, this is a great choice and actually one of the few you have.

I am self employed in the construction industry and travel to different customer's houses on a daily basis. This printer really helped out with receipts and quotes. It connected to my Android tablet very easily with the Cannon Seplhy app. I ordered a bundle that included a battery pack so that I don't have to be near an outlet to use the printer, which is very handy. I do a lot of billing at my office too and I wouldn't want to rely on this printer for ALL of my printing needs because they have very small ink cartridges, but out in the field when you need something printed right now it's certainly up to the task. I can only find three negatives about this printer, and they're very minor. First, when the battery attaches to the printer it obscures the information sticker with the model and serial number on it and you need this info for setting up the WiFi signal. I had to remove the battery while I was setting it up, because it didn't mention that in the instructions. Secondly, It takes about 60 to 90 seconds to boot up. I use this time to get what I'm printing ready. Third, When you connect your tablet to it's WiFi signal you can no longer use regular online apps. I use Quickbooks Online and sometimes I realize I've made an error on the invoice and need to correct that mistake but I have to turn the WiFi back off so that my tablet will go back to using it's cell signal. This may not really have anything to do with the printer itself, but I thought I'd mention it as it may be helpful. Like I said, these are very minor details. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase and hope it will give me a long and helpful life.

This is a great printer: good quality and super easy to use with all of your devices. It isn't meant to be lightning fast it's meant to be super portable. The speed is still pretty quick and when you whip this out with ease and start printing you will need the time for everyone to ask about his super neat gizmo. Since you won't need to crawl on the floor to a plug or unwind cords and cables you'll have even more time to pat yourself on the back and look like the Professional that you are. I never could get this to find my network by pushing the WPS button. This is the fault of my AT&T router/modem because I bought a new MX922 Canon printer which also would not find the network with WPS. I entered it manually. I think I prefer manual entry, plugging something in then hitting a button to crack open and connect to your secure network seems INSECURE. Just in case the Bluetooth doesn't work (for some inconceivable reason) you can always plug your laptop into the USB port. Not that I've had trouble, I'm just saying. Get the 6foot cable so you can sit and type in your lap. A 3foot cable might entail hunching over the printer to stay close if your cord is short. Cords cost $2 and up so splurge for the 6 footer. If you want to keep looking like a Pro you will be prepared with fail proof backup. You still will not need to crawl around and plug into the wall, just a short cord laptop to printer. Make sure you get the right USB cord.
